But at the same time, having the Democratic Leader in both House being from NYC is bad enough, adding another is only worst.

It's kind of hard to vote for Mac if only becuase he hasn't been the most active player.

As for Crawford, he'd keep the CBC happy assuming the Leader and Whip are both old White dudes, he's also from the Rust Belt if I remembered correctly that he's representing the district with Louisville in it. But at the same time, Nez isn't the biggest fan of being the only Progressive in the leadership as it could quickly lead to her becoming the leadership's token Progressive as well as getting her concerns (and the Progressive caucus in general) getting overshadowed.

I mean it more as an alternative to Atang. Kind like, I can imagine the more left wing members of the CBC will vote for Atang and the more moderate ones will vote for Crawford, but if either gets eliminated they'd immediately endorse whichever one is still in the standing
