I am also writing up my first Diehl speech, haven't contacted the player who it is for yet but I presume they'll accept it. Because, I mean, it's Diehl!

I'm running for a position that was created about 3 years ago (so I'd be the 3rd person to hold it)!

very broad responsibilities but little has been done, I wanna go crazy and basically expand it FDR-style

A single member of the Queensland University Senate caused a national Royal Commission. Google Drew Pavlou.

Usually, there’s some kind of deal with admin at the larger schools so that the student union building revenue goes to the sg.

As for their particular initiatives, student governments can ask students to vote on fees added to their tuition, etc. bills to cover costs.

As far as I'm aware, most doesn't even get a seat on the Board of Trustees

We handle funding for all major campus events and almost all student affiliated groups go through our council, so powerful on that side.

On policy, it's generally weak and basically change is very slow because of bureaucratic processes.

There’s always space for a student representative or two, at least at the UC system
