I think a lot of Prendergast supporters will go to Porter, quite a few to Paulson, maybe enough to Dunbar to do some damage on Super Tuesday.

A lot of the blue collar Prendy voters will go Porter but the suburbanites will go Richardson.

This is great.... for the Democrats. They can portray Richardson, if he wins as being beholden to racists and fascists, and Porter is just a gift for them as he rises in the polls and takes second place.

That's a stupid idea, a culture war idea that can be entirely flipped on it's head by Nate. He could argued they're unsubstantiated claims and attacks on working Americans, drive his own enthusiasm and make less flip voters for Dems to get. Marking any, literally any, candidate supporters as being 'bad' is so unbelievably stupid. You're not meant to attack voters, they're sacred.
A Porter increase might be bad but I don't entirely know his policies.

Porter is a very odd sort of politician. He's a right-wing populist, with nationalist and nativist tendencies. But then, he's also taken left-wing policies such as closing tax loopholes for the rich. He's moderate economically, and tends to frame his economic centrism in conservative terms: duty, justice, patriotism.

Not the regular voters, silly, just the more questionable people that gravitate to Porter. There was an incident with white nationalists at one of his rallies, right?

Am I misremembering something here? Not with the Confederate flag supporters, but with actual white nationalists.

2020 not-covid should be a massive terrorist attack in several cities. Either that or a superhurricane that ravages the south of the US, and puts a lot of focus on infrastructure and climate change.

I am extremely sceptical that Revere will be able to make the investment to be competitive in this timeframe.

never say never.... momentum is so important in the primaries, her best path woulda been to win NH and then ride that wave... But she can't do that now.

But yeah, that's another idea. Doesn't really affect politics although we could still RP the economic effects of COVID-19.
