But once Burgun gets back from dealing with the floods in early January he will want a meeting with Chip Renfus. Burgun is willing to pour some cash into his coffers to ensure Renfus doesn't get primaried out of office.

Like I agree, but both of these were really close races, Democrats came within a hair of Kentucky and any wins in Texas and Sippi would have had to be low margins. Louisiana will likely be different.

What the fuck is going on in this RP

Has the GOP just collapsed into flames or something? This isn't normal...This shouldn't be normal...God...Mississippi is R+9, Kentucky R+15...Too bad I can't do anything about it...I mean based off the results, the GOP is 12 points behind on the generic ballot...

Wait, really? The general swing around the board is something like 12 points compared to the CPVI.

“It’s another nail in the coffin for the GOP and a sign that their constant focus on certain issues betrayed them. Not because voters don’t care about them but because it doesn’t get people to vote for statewide elections. Representative Renfus focused on railing against undocumented immigrants and culture wars when he should have offered real, concrete policy. It really begs the question what the strategy was there and in other races across the country tonight. And it also raises the question of how representatives like Chip Renfus and the rest of the GOP Caucus are focusing on issues that won’t win them any new voters.”

Lol that is literally the opposite of what happened to Renfus. Culture wars are an exceptionally potent weapon in the State of Mississippi, man just didn't harness it.

I know, just classic punditry trying to sway the viewer

How does passing legislation work in state houses and senates, just AI deals/meetings?
