I would keep the 50,000 to start with and see how the RoC player plays and deciding how much your ranks grew from there

Yeah that's what I'm going to do. I don't have the necessary amount of weapons anyways. TBH since this is AH instead of RH after 1930, I was hoping that we can reach an agreement with the guomindang.

Well, China doesn't really have a huge stockpile as well. I mean if there is no Japanese player then the Mukden incident is still going to happen so you might do something with that like form the Chinese united front.

Description of Your Nation's Government: Ramsay MacDonald has just secured the Labour Party's first victory in a national election. He had previously led a government, but this was due to the ruling Conservative government collapsing, not his own victory. The reasons for this victory are many but can be mostly attributed to the General Strike some three years previous. Without an outright majority, Labour is counting on the support of the Liberal Party to keep it in government. To that end Ramsay MacDonald has struck a less radical approach than many would like. And a free trade position perhaps not suited to the current crisis. Many in the Labour Party, such as Arthur Henderson and Oswald Mosley, seek drastic change, which the Prime Minister does not seem to agree with. How long this situation can last no one can say, but rumours of a national government have been circling.

Nation Name: The Union of South Africa
Head of State: King George V
Head of Government Governor General and High Commissioner for South Africa: The Earl of Athlone, Prime Minister James Barry Munnik Hertzog
Government Form: Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Monarchy - With white-only enfranchisement
Ideology: Right-Wing, Afrikaner Nationalism, Afrikaner Minority Interests, Conservatism
Foreign Policy: While maintaining connections to the British Throne, the movements and clear intent to suppress a majority black country has begun to draw the ire of some of the world. While this has made some call for pause, generally there is a sentiment that white-authority is justified and that while the world may at points be disparaging of it, South Africans have the right to manifest their rights as they see fit.
Civil Freedoms /10: Whites: 7/10 - Other: 5/10
Political Freedoms /10: Whites: 7/10 - Other: 4/10
Economic Freedoms /10: Whites: 8/10 - Other: 3/10
Military Size: 56.000/100.000
Military Description: Conscription Policies keep the forces supplied with men, who are trained well to keep any unrest under control. While there are some Naval efforts, the majority of South Africa's military power lies in its riflemen. They are supplied by weapons bought internationally, specifically from America and Britain. The authoritative nature of the governing powers has many of these men primed to follow most any command whether most of the world may consider it barbaric. While not allowing for outright raids, the power of the South African military is often used to keep sentiments of discontent at bay. As such, much of the military power is spent policing the state.
Organizations: Is part of the British Commonwealth, but movements have been made towards greater levels of independence.
Description of Your Nation's Economy: Mostly a farming and mining economy, South Africa requires large amounts of labor in order to support itself. This labor comes in the form of mostly unpaid-low-paid black labor which often enriches the Boer populace. It produces most of the food and water it needs to survive and has enough of a surplus in these things to export some of it. Its low level of development however makes it hard to transform natural resources into high value products, which leads to a lot of low-cost high-labor resources being exported for other countries to add value to it. That being said, there are a lot of gold reserves even now, along with diamonds and other natural resources giving South Africa enough to barter with some nations that are far more powerful.
Description of Your Nation's Government: While not hostile to the British powers that be, the South African Government is one of clear intent, believing that whatever must be done to secure the prosperity of the white minority is a worthy and moral right. This sense of assertiveness is augmented with a strong religious backbone, as many of the rights the white minority claim for themselves are 'ordained so' by a Christian god. There are some that resist this notion, especially those powers that are more connected with British ideals, however the highly conservative and rectively defensive nature of white power in the country is hard to sway, even for public figures with history and authority. Black power is suppressed through both official and unofficial means, and while not codified there is a general sense of white superiority that is manifest in law making and governance in general.
Goals for the Nation: I want to see if I can over time turn the course of the country away from its Apartheid direction. The governing power will have a sudden weakening in the next few years - mainly due to the war, but we will see if there is anything else that can suppress it enough - so that a reasonable alternative can be explored. I don't think this will be an inherently simple task and there will be violent resistance as this level of oppression is never just forgotten. But if I can manage to have an 'open' South Africa I do think that there is a lot of room for interesting development not stifled by years of economic sanctions and violence. I don't think I want to just go in the direction of British control either. I am thinking an early freedom movement can inspire a potential earlier 'revolutionary' constitution of sorts to be developed. But this is very much in the future. And I am still spit-balling some ideas.

Nation Name: Hellenic Republic (Ελληνική Δημοκρατία)
Head of State: President Alexandros Zaimis
Head of Government Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos
Government Form: Parliamentary Semi-presidential republic
The head of state is the President. He is nominated by the Prime Minister and elected for a term of five years by a two thirds majority of the bicameral legislature. As head of state, he has a ceremonial role of being the nominal commander-in-chief and signing the laws approved by the legislature. The Prime Minister is the head of government. He is usually the head of the largest party in the Vouli. The PM must command the confidence of the majority of MPs in the Vouli.
The legislature is bicameral. The two houses are the Vouli (lower house) and Senate (upper house). The Vouli is made up of 200 MPs elected in their constituency for four-year terms. The Senate is comprised of 120 senators of which 92 are directly or indirectly elected by the people, 10 elected by a joint session of the Vouli and the Senate and 18 elected by 8 unions representing various vocations including merchants (1), industrialists (3), workers (5) and academics (1). Of the 92 senators directly or indirectly elected by the people, 90 are allocated to parliamentary constituencies of varying size for direct election and two are given to ethnic minorities for election through an electoral college: 1 for the Turks of Western Thrace and 1 for the Jews of Thessaloniki. Senators have a nine-years term, with the composition by 1/3 renewed every 3 years.
Ideology: Liberal democracy (state), Conservative liberalism (ruling party)
Foreign Policy:
Under Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos, Greece has been making attempts to cooperate with its neighboring states and to solve state disputes through diplomatic channel. Venizelos in the 1910s was the architect of the Balkan Wars that doubled the size of Greece and the Minor Asia Campaign that almost brought Minor Asia under Greek rule. Now, however, being older and more conservative, he has become a defender of the territorial status quo and seeks to improve Greece's standing through a rapprochement with Turkey, bilateral agreements with Italy and deeper defensive and economic integration with the Balkan states (especially Yugoslavia and Romania) through military pacts and trade agreements. Venizelos has also come out in support of a united Europe, stating: "the United States of Europe will represent, even without Russia, a power strong enough to advance, up to a satisfactory point, the prosperity of the other continents as well."
However, lingering problems remain. Italy maintains it hold on the Greek-populated Dodecanese island complex while the UK hold Greek-populated Cyprus as a colony. The Greek population in-large wishes unification of those historic Greek lands with the Greek motherland.
Civil Freedoms /10: 6/10
Political Freedoms /10: 7/10
Economic Freedoms /10: 6/10
Military Size: 95,000/100,000
Military Description:
Greece has 10 Divisions organized in 4 Corps, with two of the divisions being independent, while an additional brigade is stationed in the Archipelago. During peacetime, not all divisions have artillery support. The Hellenic Navy is made up of 2 battleships (Kilkis and Lemnos; both docked permanently), 1 armoured cruiser (Georgios Averof), 1 cruiser (Elli), 12 destroyers, 9 torpedo boats, 6 submarines, 2 fast attack craft, and 9 auxiliary support vessels. In 1930, an air force was established made up of 5 air bases, each with 1 squadron, and utilizes Breguet 19, Potez 25, Hawker Horsley, Greek-built Velos, and Fairey III planes. Military expenditures accounted for ₯2.04 billion, 18.8% of total government expenditures.
The Greek army has extensive experience in warfare as it has participated in the Balkan Wars, WWI and the Minor Asia Campaign. On the other hand, the armed forces became politicized with officers being selected for their attitudes towards the ruling regime. The army has intervened more than a couple of times in politics with various coups and military movements, but since 1926 it has been reined in and hasn't attempted any new intervention into politics.
Organizations: N/A
Description of Your Nation's Economy:
Greece is a mainly agrarian country. It lacks heavy industry, but light industry supplies 70+% of the country's demands. The Liberal Party government has been attempting to change this with large-scale infrastructure projects, and since 1929 the industrial growth rate has been 5%, ranking the country third in the world behind Japan and the Soviet Union. Since 1923, the Greek government borrowed ₯950 million which was channeled to infrastructural projects, while another ₯600 million was lent to private enterprises. The budget has been showing a surplus since 1928. However, with the Great Depression affecting the global economy, the government may need to take measures to stem its effects on the Greek economy.
Description of Your Nation's Government:
The current ruling party is the centrist Liberal Party led by Eleftherios Venizelos. Venizelos has become far more conservative in his attitudes since his last premiership and as a result his government leans to the right. The government focuses on large-scale infrastructure projects, construction of new school facilities, and a pragmatist foreign policy.
Goals for the Nation: In the short-term, Greece hopes to achieve high rates of economic growth, political stability and peace. In the long term, it hopes to gain control of the Dodecanese from Italy and Cyprus from the UK.
