On the subject of Christianity, if you feel like diverging from the Roman Church (Which is basically Eastern Orthodoxy with some Catholic characteristics), I would recommend looking up early Christian heresies, specifically the Bogomils and the Paulicians if you want to go full "Puritan New England but in Romania/Dacia."

If not, you're basically Roman Canada.

Errr... ... ... so here's something that happened.

Yesterday, Intermountain States dropped this on my discord, saying that it was an interesting concept. I did not know why he decided to mention this nor do I know what he wanted me or him to do here. Heck, I don't even know whether he IS here tagged and reserving spots.

But based on what he KNOWS that I like (massive Korean patriot, PMT nerd until 1900s RP that I made for fun decided to never die but continue to resurrect itself like a phoenix once every year or something like that...), I am going to have to ask a few questions out of courtesy I need to ask a few questions before I commit to the RP:

1) what is the status of Korean Peninsula and China? I mainly ask China because people either lump Japan + Korea or China + Korea and Japanese player seems to have not done this.

2) what exactly is my creative liberty in "If Asian culture survived to evolve into the modern era, instead of being suppressed by European thought, what would that have looked like?" What would be considered too infringing, and what would be considered tolerable?

EDIT Okay, did some digging, so it WAS Intermountain that summoned me specifically so that I can have fun as Korea. Great. Thanks for making this RP, Plzen. It would definitely be a pleasurable experience.

So I did some digging of what would have Korea been like in 220 AD, and I did realize that it would probably be a ridiculous period of our history and things would be VERY different from Korea IRL. All the more reason for me to know what EXACTLY is my liberty with Korea and surrounding region:

During the Three-Kingdoms era, Korea did have a minor role in the warring states period as well (although they had somewhat of a superior shock troops, they were no match for battle-hardened Wei especially towards the later period of war. As a result, I doubt Goguryeo would have moved beyond the Southern Manchuria which was its maxim border.).

Probably the most militant Korean nation. Probably the most inquisitive (most other Korean nations were VERY inner focused. Matches the idea that Koreans discovered the Americans first pretty well). Probably the nation that I would pick as "which nation in Korea's history that had the best chance to become a dominant regional power?" Interesting historical period, but again... NEED TO KNOW what exactly is my creative liberty for the region.

Well, I'm not OP, but I think that the only thing you're locked into is being the Japanese Empire's best friend since that was pretty essential to my history/app, as well as potentially having a monarchy since some of the Korean nobility has a cadet house in Japan and vice versa.
