AWoNB Nation’s History:

During the early 20th Century when Yugoslavia was first formed, a lot of internal and nationalistic issues troubled the nation and prevented the nation from achieving any success on a global or local level. Most of the years were spent trying to set up an unified code, Constitution and dealing with numerous rebel separtist and nationalist uprisings. Though the potential for break-up was there, it was held together both by bribery, military and political domination by the then Serbian leadership.

Although as the years passed by, and various other states slowly gained in power, especially Germany - many were afraid of being swallowed up by the German hegemony rising in power and strength year by year. Under the leadership of Peter II and Alexander II - the Yugoslavia model was slowly shifted from a 'southern slav' state to a more multi-racial, multi-ethnic power. Peter II set up a policy of 'peace through prosperity' program that focused on economic growth, industrial and rural development throughout the many constituent states that made up Yugoslavia and a slow decentralization of power away from Belgrade and to the rest of Yugoslavia.

Under Alexander II - Yugoslavia was finally shifted away from an unitary model to a more federalized monarchy instead; the federal capital would remain in Belgrade while the rest of the states were granted control over their local affairs. Under Peter IV - Yugoslavia has slowly become the regional power of the Balkans, a multi-ethnic power with a strong economy and a slowly modernizing army.
