AWoNB Nation’s History: Zhang he’s expedition in 1421 lead him to the land beyond the great pacific ocean, a virgin land untouched by civilization. Zhang he claimed the land under the Ming dynasty and called it fusang, When Zhang he returned to nanjing, and told his stories to the emperor. He was thrilled, and sent more expedition into the new world. Their first settlement was located in the baja california peninsula, as the years gone by the chinese colony had control over northern mexico, and expeditions to the south lead to the discovery of the Aztec confederacy.
The chinese had good relations with the aztec, but their kingdom were soon wiped out from the map by chinese troops. However the aztec people, weren’t forced to convert to buddhism or confucianism by the chinese unlike how the spanish did. The aztec religion soon fell into irrelevancy after less and less people converted to buddhism or confucianism. The former Aztec city of Tenochtitlan was made as the colonial capital of Fusang and renamed as Daijian, During this age a lot of chinese, and southeast asian settlers began racing towards fusang to start a new life there. The colony was discovered by the europeans when spanish ships containing settlers of the new world were surprised to see that the far eastern chinese had land in the new world. Spanish, english, and french merchants frequently traded with fusang due to it being closer to europe, and having the same resources as their trade partners.
Fusang gained it’s independence after the fall of the ming dynasty, which it also experienced a surge of population, after many fled china to escape the conflicts that broke the ming dynasty, After independence fusang maintained good relations with the british without the Ming to prohibit them from trading with them. Fusang had sided with the british during the seven years war, being that the british were their largest trading partner. Fusang and the british were victorious against the french and the spaniards, after the war Fusang gained war reparations used to improve Fusang’s military , and Territories in central america. During the american revolution Fusang was mostly neutral, Fusang was also neutral during the civil war. Like itks northern counterpart Fusang’s economy grew and grew. With most of their money invested towards infrastructure, and towards the people, seeing the consequences of many chinese dynasties before who had become vain and lost their mandate of heaven. Fusang became an economic powerhouse during the new milennium, and had good relations with the US. During the second US civil war, Fusang sided with the Union, even though they were ideologically different with fusang leaning towards the left. Fusang gained the territory of southern california, New mexico, and Arizona from the US.
