"Not personally, but there are definitely closeted Republicans out there. Homophobia is often just how someone feels about their own sexuality, and how comfortable they are with it. And needless to say, some of the other minorities are more obvious. Not-Tim Scott could possibly be swayed on racial issues, and the same could be said for racial minorities in the House."

"Park's in the Liberty Caucus but I've got no sureness that he'll buy it. He's more in line with the leadership. But I'll try my best. Volker wants to push a repeal of some parts of Dodd-Frank. I'll see if I can twist his arm with that..."

"We stand more than simply holding the Presidency, of all my competitors, Murphy and Westra would scare the moderates and Republicans into voting against us, while Mike stands on a record bought by donations, our biggest drawcard in the midwest is relatability, we don't win when we are as out of touch appearing as Republicans. Baharia beat not-Romney by painting him as a man with a silver spoon up his rear, humility, policy and vision will take us to the White House. Without sounding too arrogant to meet the first criteria, I'm the only serious candidate who can tick all three boxes, retaining suburban voters and bringing out inner-city voters. I didn't win Virginia's Third by neglecting the voters Clifford did, I didn't win Richmond or now a ticket to D.C. by neglecting those voters, I intend to win just as I have before by reassembling a broad coalition of voters that propelled us to victories in the midterms," she declared in a prematurely triumphant way.

"Interesting." He nodded. "There is somewhat of a perception that Governor Velez is the only one actively courting the black vote in any meaningful way. I want to hear what your message is to people of color like myself and how you'll go about reforming our criminal justice system."

Porter concerned her deeply too. She actually thought some of rhetoric and ideas he had were okay, but he was so power hungry, and slowly had morphed into an antichrist figure in her mind.

“Do you think he could even win?” She asked, curiously. “I mean, I’d be more worried about him ruining the Republican Party and letting the Democrats rule the country than him somehow gaining power. Do you really think he’s capable? I hope he isn’t.”
