Hypolite drafted and sent Christmas cards to a few politicians around the state and country.
TO: The Office of Governor John Holland
Hello John! I hope that your family are doing well this holiday season, you know, so many times, I think we all forget the meaning of Christmas; Togetherness, Love, and Hope. I hope, as Governor, you bring togetherness, love, and hope, back to our state. I hope if I win next year, we will both represent the state well on the National Scale. I would like to wish you and your family, a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year!
TO: Russel Long
Hello Russell! I don't like you and you don't like me but listen, in this holiday season, I hope we can come together as Louisianans, as Americans, and as Humans, to bring the three principles of Christmas out, Togetherness, Love, and Hope. When god sent down his only son, he wanted us to have togetherness, love and hope and it would be dishonest of us to believe otherwise. I hope for this holiday season we could put our differences aside, no twitter battles, no name calling, and no disrespect. I would like to wish you and your family, a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year!
TO: The Office of Nate Richardson
Hello Nate! From my family to yours, Merry Christmas! I hope that your family are doing well this festive season! I know that in the times we live in, the meaning of Christmas can be turned from Togetherness, Hope and Love, to Greed, Envy, and Hate. I hope that your family will be full of Love, Togetherness and Hope this holiday season. Happy New Years and Merry Christmas!
TO: The Office of Bernie Porter
Hello Mr. Porter! I hope that you and your family are well this holiday season. For years and years, we as Americans have lost the true meaning of Christmas; Togetherness, Love, and Hope. I hope that for this Holiday Season, we Americans, can come together and have love among us all. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

If your senator can't remember the name of a former president of the United States, what makes you think he'll remember your name? The names of his constituents? Of the working families paying his salary? Expect better, demand the best. Having fast thumbs for snarky replies doesn't cut it Sen. Colbert!

"You are a privileged man from a privileged state. I make no illusion that I am not a privileged man, but West Virginia does not have the plenty that North Carolina has benefitted from. You do not understand poor communities, and you do not understand the real needs, and if I am being charitable, that is out of ignorance and not malice, but it comes off as the latter. If you want to defeat Porter, and if you want to defeat the Democrats, and if you want to enjoy my support, your platform cannot offer performative change for the working classes, it must offer real change. Wolf's victory rode, in part, on promises he never intended to keep. The electorate are not so stupid as to think those promises have been kept. The Midwest, parts of the South, they depend more than ever on maintaining our gains with the working class."
Jonah stood up from his chair, going to the window to gaze out at his snow-carpeted lawn, a frown etched onto his face. "Dayton will outflank you, but the real question is by how much. How much will you let her outflank you? If you do not move on wages, and do not move on shifting the tax burden away from the working class, then she will terminally outflank you."

I'll be unveiling my Middle Class Tax Cut plan just past the New Year! Stay tuned for more - we must pivot the burden of taxation off of working middle class Americans and that starts by reversing Republicans lopsided pro-Richie Rich tax cut.

I actually helped author a piece of legislation being considered in the Senate right now. You may have missed that but for me, campaigning for Senate isn't just calling opponents sociopaths but actually putting in the work before getting the title.

Jesus, how did Fairytale Fiona get caught up in this? I've been a senator and a representative, I can decipher the difference. Everitt Colbert is a Senator. I never said Spellman was a Senator, he is just a failed Presidential Candidate to me.

Jonah listened to what Richardson had to say, pensively soaking it in. He was a far more cerebral man than the firebrand he had been on the campaign trail. "My plan was built to offset the burden on small and medium enterprises by lowering their tax burden. Your fear is not unjustified, and I've never proposed a $15 hike. But $7.25 is not enough. However, I'll concede that a flexible minimum wage scheme on a state-by-state basis but undertaken by federal mandate could work. My only worry is that it might be seen as a violation of equal protection. If you put that in your platform, promise me you'll lift all minimum wage earners out of federal income tax, and make sure the minimum wage law is pinned to inflation so we don't fall dangerously behind again, then I'll help you defeat Porter. Small and medium enterprises can get flexibility but Wal-Mart can't get off the hook. Don't let Warrick, or the corporatists, make you back down."
Pacing away from the window, he looked over his bookshelf, taking in numerous volumes of numerous works. It might surprise Richardson to see that Prendergast had Marx and Friedman on the same shelf - this was a man who pretty non-ideologically took in perspectives before forming his own. "I don't hold these views out of some basic sense of profligacy. Do you know what is singlehandedly hurting the Republican Party more than ever? It's the denial of capitalism, not on the left, but on the right. Have you ever read Smith?" He pulled a volume of The Wealth of Nations out from the shelf, returning to his seat.
