Not many of you know Russell Long, but I do. Russel Long seems to be a big mouthed democrat, that he is, but he is also a bully. He won the governorship because he is a member of the Louisiana Long family. This is the same man, who delayed federal highway funding, just to be inside of an administration that was as crooked as his Teeth! This man, BANNED ABORTION! Something most of you democrats didn't want to hear, but most of us republicans liked at the time. Don't forget about how many times he's flipped flopped on his stance on LGBTQ people as well as his attempt to give women thousands and thousands of dollars just to carry a baby to term!!! That is the Russell Long, we in Louisiana know and have come to hate.

“You know I have been blesses to have the opportunity to speak with a number of veterans since I began my life in public office, and time and again when they tell me about their experiences I hear about the bravery of the Kurds who fought alongside our troops. They have been good allies and we should stand by them most definitely…. At the same time I’m quite concerned about the anti-western shift we have seen in Turkey, getting shipments of the S-400 air defense system from Russia for example which is specifically designed to shoot down NATO Aircraft, and President Wolf Taking measures such as halting the sale of the F-35 to Turkey and the EU ending its aid to Turkey are good moves that reflect increasingly worrying moves by Turkey.”

We see time and again Turkey frustrating our objectives in Syria and they continue to stand in the way of taking a stand against Iran. If we want to take Turkey on, which I certainly do, we need to pursue sanctions under the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act and surgically penalize Turkish policies without breaking our NATO ties. At the end of the day I believe the recent years of bad behavior isn’t the new normal but more due to their current leadership which won’t last forever especially considering Turkey’s stagnating economy.
