Main Weapons: Modernized OSV-96: Soviet Anti-Material and Sniper rifle, fires the immensely powerful 12.7x108mm cartridge and feeds from a 5 round detachable box magazine. It is modernized with an electronic "smart scope" capable of zooming up to 60x closer and housing a rangefinder, infrared vision, and an IR targeting system informing Samuel of any changes that need to be made to his aim to hit the target. This thing can hit out to nearly 2 miles and still give a pretty good smack at that distance.
Modernized M60 Machine Gun: A belt-fed general purpose machine gun chambering and firing the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. Samuel's M60 has several internal and external modifications made to it, improving the reliability and durability of the weapon greatly. It has a replacement barrel and gas system that removes the need to replace barrels and maintain the weapon constantly, has a muzzle brake that greatly reduces the recoil of the powerful .308 round, and the open-bolt action has been replaced with a short-recoil closed bolt, allowing for a much higher rate of fire than the original. Notable external features include replacement Polymer 80 furniture, reducing the weight of the weapon, a thumbhole stock, a red dot holographic sight, an angular foregrip, and a steel drum attachment containing the 150 round disintegrating belts the modified weapon feeds from. It is a unique and prized weapon, and it has been used to great effect in short to medium range engagements.
Custom 1911 Pistol: All-steel frame with black rubber grips and covered with a black cerakote. Sam's 1911 has a Commander-length barrel and has a double-stack 15 round magazine that takes the good old .45 ACP. Sam has mounted a laser sight below the barrel and the pistol also has a flared magwell for easier reloading.
Back Story: Sam's past is shrouded in mystery, no one knows who he is or where he came from, though there are prolific rumors he served in one of the old-world militaries before turning to mercenary work. He just arrived in New York out of the blue a few years ago, and quickly established a reputation as a feared fighter who's hit list you did not want to end up on. He was a terrifyingly accurate marksman and a skilled martial artist as well, and he has earned big bucks working for some influential people in the past... and subsequently tied up loose ends (if ya know what I mean) to preserve future business opportunities. Even other mercenaries became wary of him after he began killing other guns-for-hire to cement his business opportunities, being sure to avoid taking jobs he would be likely to seek for the simple sake of self-preservation. It seems his efforts have indeed been working, as his position as an elite hitman fit for nearly any job has been solidified, leaving many who are less competent than him with less lucrative jobs and striking fear into those who dare argue with the business end of his sniper rifle.
Personality: Very cold and calculating, and also willing to do cruel things if it means getting the job done. However, he is very competitive, and will go out of his way to take down other guns-for-hire if it proves that he is the single most competent fighter in the city.
