It's to ensure he still gets his end from Richardson if Paulson loses.

Honestly though, he kinda agreed to it before, and it’s pretty unrealistic that a leading libertarian in the House wouldn’t endorse the highest polling libertarian Republican in history...

Yeah, but Richardson wouldn't give him his Secretary of Science, Space and Technology then, would he?

I don't personally think Richardson's going to be able to maintain his small government line and deliver a DSST.

It's just making a department, not moving any actual money.

That’s true. But he honestly should have brought that up when they met up at the farm. Their whole conversation revolved around how the switched endorsements would give Paulson a much-needed late-summer momentum boost. And he talked Teasdale into joining him in doing it, so the change of strategy is odd to say the least....

Yeah, he’s already pissed off Richardson, and Paulson arguably helps him the most in his House district. Paulson offered him the exact same role for DSST (or “Department of Space and Innovation” as she’s sometimes called it), so it seems obvious to switch.

And he should be careful about pissing off Paulson. I really doubt that Vohoffsky wants a former Watergate reporter digging around in his affairs...

Oh believe me, if Vohoffsky doesn’t switch, she’ll tell Volker to do whatever he wants to Voh.

Yeah, true, he'll probably switch. Also, he was choosing to not switch for the good of Paulson too - if someone so blatantly libertarian endorses her, that might put a stop to her inroads with the moderates. But he did get Teasdale to switch, so...

This is a stupid mud-slinging contest. Makes sense for Porter to be it, kinda makes sense for Prendy, no sense whatsoever for Paulson. Richardson is making the smart move staying out for the most part.

And if anyone wants to jab at him, Kevin partnered with a Goldman Sachs billionaire executive (whom is a big fan) to make his big racing team out of scratch back in 2006. Maybe raise some eyebrows about conflict of interest.

Allen won’t switch for OOC reasons unless Richardson drops out. Park is waiting for her to cross the 20% threshold.

Paulson’s libertarian reputation already has done any damage to her with moderates that a Vohoffsky endorsement would do. She spoke at PorcFest, she’s ran on the Libertarian VP ticket, so it really wouldn’t change much.

Maybe not, but they're not as much of a lad as Villalobos. My characters all have ticks and personalities, but aren't really remarkable, except for Voorhees, who isn't in Congress, and I haven't fully explored yet.
