April 12, 1861: The South Carolina Militia attacks the Union Fort Sumter. After several months of what was considered to be a siege by the recently seceded South Carolina, shots rang out across Charleston Harbor as the 1st US Artillery and Confederate Militiamen engaged in a loud but ineffective firefight. After a day of glorious fighting by the Union, who didn't lose a single man, the 1st Artillery withdrew from the Fort. So began the largest loss of American life due to war. A war that some said was over State's Rights, a war that some said was over the preservation of the Union that had been formed 98 years ago, some said it was over slavery. Not all who fought fought for the beliefs that their side held, some fought from loyalty to their State. Either way, a line had been drawn straight the country and brother had taken up arms against brother.

September 4th 1862. Confederate General Robert E Lee has taken his Army of Northern Virginia on an offensive across the Potomac. His Army is heading for the Union arsenal at Harper's Ferry. All that stands in his way is General McClellan and the Army of the Potomac. President Lincoln has demanded that Lee is prevented from taking Harper's Ferry and definitely prevented sacking Washington. It lies upon your shoulders as soldiers in the 1st Corps of the Union Army of the Potomac to stop Lee and his band of traitors from seizing the arsenal and throw him back over the Potomac. James Hargrave was born to a reasonably wealthy shipping family in Wisconsin. He worked in his father's warehouses through his early life. Having saved up enough money for a West Point application, he left he at the age of 19 to become an officer. While he wasn't the shining star of his class, he showed that he was a fairly competent tactician with potential. He graduated 6th in his class. He was immediately signed into the 2nd Wisconsin of the famous Iron Brigade and fought at the battles of Chancellorsville and Fredericksburg.

Edward Tobie was born in Lewiston, Maine in 1838 as son of son of abolitionist Edward Parsons Tobie, Sr. and Caroline Frye. His father, a wool carder, clerk and Baptist deacon by trade, was a staunch abolitionist who aided escaped slaves on making their way into Canada.
He mustered into service in G Company of the 1st Maine Cavalry with the rank of Sergeant.

Btw Scout isnt a viable position for a Cavalryman, they all were scouts if the need arose so just say officer.

One last thing. Ditch the Silent at day bit. Officers can under no circumstances be completely silent. They are always giving orders. If his personality doesnt have him be social or noticeably talkative thats fine. Change that one thing and youre good to go

Bio (optional): John Hakor was the half Mexican and Half American. His father was an influential person and sent John to West Point. John did not graduate top in the class do to not being organized, but came out 4th. When Florida Seceded, John was torn between his home state and his country. He chose his country and he was assigned as a 2nd Lieutenant at Bull Run. His men hated him for being a southner, but he kept going. He showed bravery at Manassas. Soon after he asked his commander to create a Floridian unit and he was created a 1st liuetenant. He had fought in the Peninsula campaign and Second Bull Run.
