Synopsis
It's August 1942 and the Pacific is a hive of activity; the Japanese, following their surprise invasions across the Pacific on December 7th the previous year, have dug in on their newly conquered territory and are preparing for a protracted war of attrition as Allied forces begin island hopping to retake lost territory. Meanwhile in New Guinea, US and Australian forces fight at Kokoda in the highland jungles to stop the Japanese advance towards Port Moresby; the last stop between Japan and the Australian mainland. From Burma in the West to Guadalcanal in the East, the Rising Sun has conquered all; but for how long? Those same territories which it has conquered are hives of resistance and look to the Allies for help. In June 1942 the Inter-Allied Services Department, which itself was modeled on the SOE, created a new raiding/commando unit and named it Z Special Unit. It consisted of servicemen from Australian, New Zealand, The Netherlands, the Dutch East Indies, the United Kingdom and, for the purposes of this RP and non-historically, The United States of America.
Now, two months on from its creation, you and your comrades in Z Special Unit are preparing for your first mission and have assembled on base in Cairns, awaiting your briefing for the mission ahead.

Overview
Hello and welcome to Z Special Unit - a new WW2 Pacific Theatre Character RP - Inspired by a formerly long running Commando RP a few years back (I've forgotten its name)
In this RP you will be part of Z Special Unit, an Allied Reconnaissance/Raiding/Commando unit during WW2. The unit will conduct commando raids, reconnaissance and sabotage against Japan across the Pacific through the course of the RP and assist in turning the tide against Japan and hastening the end of the war.
My first RP I've OP'ed in a few years(formerly known as reddogkeno101), so if any more experienced RPers would be willing to CO-OP, please flick me a telegram.
Rules
1. As OP, my word is Law; as is any CO-OPs should they exist. While this decision is generally final, if you do argue, please do so civilly.
2. No godmodding. Pretty self-explanatory but while you are a Commando, you are not Rambo. Characters are not invincible and wounds along the way are likely, so be prepared for that eventuality or worse. And you don't have an M-16 in 1942, shockingly.
3. This is RP requires a lot of teamwork given its nature. If you can't be a team player, please don't join.
4. We be keeping it PG here. I love descriptive, text rich posts as much as the next person, but let's keep the gore to a minimum.
5. No flamming. Don't be that guy/girl. We're all on the same team, so play nice or don't play at all.
6. No one line posts or ridiculously small posts. On the other hand, please don't make them too big and advance the story without allowing others to play their part (within reason, always ask if you're not sure)
