I will get my reply done in the next few days, sorry for the wait!

I know a lot of people are still intent upon doing this. But there is a lot going on right now, so it is about finding the time to sit down and write. Hopefully, we can keep this going, until it picks up.

I've created way too much canon for my own good with this RP, assuming it hasn't fully gotten off the ground yet, that's why we can't let this thing die guys. lol

North Palmyra Police Department est. 1891

Christopher West #01 (1891-1922, first officer until Chief’s office was founded in 1905, Chief from 1905-1922)
Terrence Thibodeaux #02 (1905-1928, officer 1907-1935)
David Franks #03 (1911-1936, officer until 1925, appointed Chief after Thibodeaux declined position due to medical reasons, Chief from 1925-1936)
Ernest Esquire #04 (1933-1957, officer from 1933-1936, Chief from 1936-1957)
Theodore Roach #05 (1931-1962, officer from 1931-1948, Sergeant from 1950-1957, became reserve officer from 1957-1962)
Gerome Porter #06 (1937-1968, officer from 1937-1957, Chief from 1957-1968)
Reginald D. Clark #07 (1939-1960, police officer from 1939-1960)
Jonathan Seymour #08 (1940-present, Sergeant from 1957-1968, Chief from 1968-present)
Richard J. Travers #09 (1940-1945, police officer from 1940-1945, laid off due to post-WWII budget cuts)

In 1942, at a time when the department was at full capacity for its budget at the time, and in honor of the late Chief David Franks, it was decided the department would utilize a future system of Badge Numbers. Badge #10-#25 would be reserved for future Chiefs not already part of the department at the time of the enacting of the policy. The policy would entail officers of Sergeant + rank to have their traditional badge number retired and they would then assume the chronological badge number for Chiefs starting at Badge #10. This would cover the Badge #s for Chiefs of Police for the foreseeable next 100-200 years, as traditionally Palmyra had very small departments, and Chiefs would normally assume the rank within 10-15 years of service, and not retire until up to around 30 or so years of total combined service.

#10-#25 retired until further notice or activated for future Chiefs of Police

Darrell Wetzel #26 (1957-1960, police officer, terminated)
Stephen Bowers #27 (1957-1964, transferred)
James E. Ewell #28 (1960-1963, resigned)
Christopher Mertz #29 (1960-1968, transferred to OPSO)
Jeffery Collinsworth #30 (1963-1966, transferred)
Anthony T. Knotts #31 (1964-1965, lost his life in the line of duty)
Thomas Redford #32 (1965-1969, transferred)
Andrew Tinkerton #33 (1966-present)
David Kirkland #21 (1968, Sergeant, transfer from Baton Rouge Police Department, personal friend of Chief Seymour's he was allowed to take badge #21 despite the already in place policy for reserving said number for future chiefs of police)
Julien Hayes #34 (1969-1973, retired from law enforcement)
Travis Reddington #35 (1969-1976, transferred out of state)
Thomas Switzer #36 (1973-present)
James Maddox #37 (1976-present)
Germaine Edwards #38 (1979-present)

Additionally, the North Palmyra Police Department hasn't had consistent 20-30 year guys since the late 50s. The original 8 or so officers from the early 30s who did their 20-30 years on the force were a thing of the past. Now abstractly in modern times, law enforcement officers normall serve a good 20-25 years before they're rewarded any sort of pension. The explanation for this drastic change is simple; while the Department traditionally has always been controlled by the Fauberts since its earliest founding, in the early days there wasn't necessarily as much corruption as there was in the early 50s and 60s, and is now in 1980. NPPD was built out of the shadows of the Oxbow Parish Sheriff's Office, as well as mirrored by South Palmyra PD, whenever it was founded. Officers under the direction of Chief Gerome Porter (1957-1968 as Chief) who were not part of the original cast of early elements of the PD, such as Reginald D. Clark, Theodore Roach, Jonathan Seymour, among the few, were not always either eager to be susceptible to corruption, or they were so corrupt they needed to be removed in order to cover Porter's own ass from internal investigations by the State Police and FBI. There were a few terminations which were conducted for the sole reason that Porter was paranoid at times he would be set up and/or killed by his officers who were aware of his power. In comparison to Jonathan Seymour, who still has his pockets lined with Jules Fauberts money, as well as he is his ace in the hole for all things legal, Seymour is most definitely as peaceful as they come in comparison to Porter, who was involved in much more high-stakes escapades for the Faubert family than Seymour has been, even in his twelve years now as Chief. Seymour is the last active member of those who served on some of the most original parts of the department (taking up service in 1940). Seymour has had a 40 year career in law enforcement, but he's so compounded by the decades of corruption he's been a part of, Jules and his co-conspirators in all of the town's corruption and evil pay Seymour handsomely to not retire and remain in the post. Despite only being sixty one years old, Seymour has seen his fair share whilst an officer, sergeant, and Chief in the department. He has no aspirations to change most of what the department is about, and doesn't wish for any sort of reform, proper training, or accreditation, like Thomas Switzer wishes, and lobbies for constantly to the Chief.

There's a couple of good potential storylines I see happening with both Switzer, the Chief, and Senior Patrolman Tankerton, which all could very well play out in the course of the RP.

I admittedly need a new job that actually occupies my time, as well as the fact I'm beginning to have way too much fun with this RP even though it is slowly dying.

Assuming we can return to this thread soon, I've found a great link to a city map maker and would have the utmost pleasure of plotting people's homes, work areas, and any other key places on the map, with Cy's consent of course, pending the return of enough of us to resume this highly anticipated storyline!
