While skirmishes continued across the province of Oulu (apperantly that's the proper name of North Ostrobothnia) as Scandinavian forces continued to fight their way towards the city of the same name suffering moderate losses (around 450) the Finnish casualties were unknown. The King was taken to a remote area in Västmanland to watch a test flight of the Prototype SAAB J-29 Tunnan Jet fighter affectionately named as the flying barrel due to it's shape which would be Scandinavia's leap into Jet Technology and would be one of the first planes in Western Europe post war with a swept wing design instead of a straight one.

with the blueprints for the De Havilland Venom coming with the planes in December, Brazil was hoping to use the jet engine design for its own plane. they had Embraer on hand.
A design was in the making already, having been requested at an earlier time. With the new design, the Brazilian Air Force could be heavily modernised without paying millions of dollars and relying on other countries.
It would be called the Embraer Jato Relâmpago 1, or the Embraer JR-1. It had been nicknamed the Thunderstorm.

Diamond mining in South Africa had historically formed much of an early and strong basis to which the country has been financed and been considered by many internationally to be the Crown Jewel of the Dark Continent so to speak. While the diamond mining industry has remained strong into the second half of the 20th century, the National Treasury had gone on record to report that in recent years following the Second World War, that the black market revolving around diamond smuggling and theft has exploded in overall number of instances, especially since the election of 1948 with the increase of shipments going missing or purposely "underreported" going up substantially 50% higher than it was in 47'. And while NT Agents have been committed to stamping out the wide theft, skeptics had called the reports into question as South Africa's GDP growth and financial report seems to be largely unaffected going comparative projective analytics, some of the more fringed analysts even going as far as to say in no uncertain terms that the National Treasury are the ones doing the underreporting and are profiting off the black market.

The National Treasury was quick to shoot down these accusations however, arguing that the projected decline was hard to predict even under the worst circumstances regarding resource exports. Despite this, this does bring back into light however that the Union possibly maintains a rumored diamond bond reserve for more illicit dealings that go under London's nose so to speak. Prime Minister declined to comment any further on the matter in his press conference today, only saying they were, "Ridiculous political gossip from detractors hoping to downplay the achievements of the National Party in the country." As he leaned by his car lighting a cigarette, Agent Müller gazed up at the warehouse across the street that was own by De Beers, or so it supposedly was. All he could think himself was "Wasn't it after hours? Don't these people have to sleep?" It was after all a dry October night in the mining town, it seemed quiet enough outside, but it was obvious there were people still working in the building. His partner then nudged his shoulder to bum a smoke off them as they waited for other agents and the local police to arrive at the scene. "What you think we got in there? How many you think are packing heat?" His partner then asked as his lighter then illuminated his middle aged Afrikaner face briefly.

"If it's a racketeering job we can expect the foremen and their head honchos to have something on them." Müller responded, letting his cigarette drag a bit before finishing it with one last puff, before tossing it to the ground to step out the embers. His partner only nodded.

Soon after other NT cars, police cruisers, and paddy wagon pulled onto the street and armed agents and police came out in full force. Someone inside the warehouse must've noticed the immediate presence of the authorities, cause Müller could hear a lot of shouting in a native language and Hindu and something crashing to the ground to what he can assume was made in great haste. "It's go time!"

Bursting through the doors revolvers and shotguns out, many sweatshop working Blacks and Indians seemingly stuck in the first room were quickly rounded up and brought outside in handcuffs, though some of them in the back made a run for it which Müller and his partner pursued. Easy enough already, he thought to himself. However after reaching the main proper warehouse open floor, him and his partner were immediately shot at by a foreman with a sten gun, actually several men in fact opened fired on them when they entered, catching even the Agent by surprise. "Jesus. H Christ!" This wasn't an everyday diamond ring bust, this was far too organized to be just a criminal gang, Müller could only think to himself as more gunfire whizzed over his head as he had taken cover by a crate. Where was his partner dammit!? A thought then rushed into him like a car slamming into a lamppost, he resulting in him looking back and seeing partner having dragged himself to another crate, a red trail of fresh blood in his wake. "Bastards!" His partner could only have groaned and blindly fired some accompanying revolver rounds from behind his cover. Müller likewise did the same in the heat of the moment, being given some immediate vivd flashbacks to his time in Italy in 44'. After quite the exchange of gunfire however, the opposing triggermen eventually retreated to an exit in the warehouse, leaving Müller to contend with his bleeding out partner.

As officers rushed past him in pursuit of the criminals, Müller rushed to his partner's side and tried to hold in the blood seemingly gushing out of his open gunshot wound in his chest, it wasn't looking too good, he was already losing a lot of color. "C'mon Jameson I got you pal, you're gonna make it!" Müller had seen death before, but nothing like this back at home, it somehow felt very different in a strange and morbid way that was hard to describe. His partner didn't say much however, and his breaths were slow and weak. The last Müller saw of him was minutes later seeing him get carried into the back of an ambulance, his blood having since soaked into his coat and into his tie and white shirt. His partner looked like a ghost already.

He would send out the 10th Armored Brigade along with with the 12th infantry Regiment onto their left flank as the main force engaged the enemy center after 3 hours of bombings by Saab-18s to weaken any defensive emplacements they could.

Rosario

As the soldiers finally arrived in Rosario, they were met with a large army. artillery immediately started blasting away at the enemy to hold them back
The screams of the engines of the Embraer P-33 Propellors patrolling the airspace.
The engines of 1 B-29 suddenly was roaring and dropping bombs on the troops of Argentina.
After the artillery had stopped and the B-29 returned to its airstrip, the Brazilians charged. They went into the forts surrounding the city and quickly captured them, and used the cannons to blast away on the city. A white flag was raised and the soldiers cheered. They were victorious.

Coronel Suárez

The 2nd army had finally arrived in Coronel Suarez, after it being a long march. They hadn’t not intended to go here straight away, but they needed to make up for lost time.
As planes were roaring and screaming overhead, in dogfights with the Argentinians, stray bullets occasionally picked off a man or two. A Brazilian plane got shot down and landed straight in the city.
The Brazilians charged after that. They were beaten back several times with low casualties, until finally they made it through.

The fleet divided once half of the invasion troops had successfully landed.
The first half remained near Buenos Ares, bombarding the city.
The other half had the troops and went to south Argentina, and were going to take the Falkland Islands.

They captured the city. Cheers could be heard around the city from soldiers who knew this would be Argentina’s last stand.

1 bomber squadron went up and started bombing the city, hopefully destroying their defences.
The destroyers and heavy and light cruisers, along with several flagships started during their cannons at the city.
When this happened, the artillery did the same thing. From the aircraft carrier, 5 bombers were launched to bomb the city yet again. The city wa in crumbles and ruins
The Brazilian Army charged, and found their way to the palace of Leon Trotsky. The captured him.

AMX Factory, Issy-les-Moulineaux, Paris, France

The AMX-50/100 had been succesfully modified. To acomodate the new rangefinder, a slightly enlarged turret with 20mm more of armor had been created. It gave the gunner and commander not only a bit more space, but also better survivability thanks to the additional armor. The autoloader had also been given a modification with a ready rack that would automatically reload the autoloader. This would allow a much higher sustained rate of fire as 18 rounds where ready and could be loaded in as little ad six seconds each.

The hull had also been modified. A total of 25mm of armor was added everywhere except the engine deck where the increase had been limited to 5mm. The new transmission been fitted along with the modified Maybach engine. The official designation for this modification was the AMX-50/100M. And it was to be tested until January 1951. If the tests are successful, all AMX-50s will be modified to AMX-50/100M standard.

The search for oil had been underway for several months. Drilling in various regions across Libya had turned up nothing. But one region held promise. Sirte was a port city with an a long history of trade and warfare. But it also was one of the first regions of Libya to turn up some oil. But only in tiny quantities. However France pinned it's hopes on finding oil in the Sirte area, so the drilling continued.

While the Navy of the Union of South African had historically existed for mainly defensive purposes of the Cape region, recent events that have transpired have made the National Party in charge of the country come to realize that a new change of naval doctrine is in order for the country halfway into the century following the Second World War. It had been considered by the Ministry of Defense that in order for the Union to preserve its means to power project across the South Atlantic in the event of widespread conflict in that portion of the ocean, some large changes would have to be made, especially where London seems to be lacking in terms of upholding their side of the globe so to speak.

And what had been considered from both Defense Ministry F.C. Erasmus, and the Chief of the Navy Brigadier Pieter de Waal meetings over the past month was a distinct need for a committed naval force that would act as a quick response flotilla. That in purpose would act as a quick response task force in the South Atlantic for promptly defending both Anglo and Afrikaner interests in the southern hemisphere. After the meeting a telegram was then sent in proposal to Parliament in London of the creation of a South Atlantic task force.

Following a discussion of the Cabinet, the Ministry of Energy announced Iran would increase its oil production in the Kurdistan region to about 3.2 million barrels a day - 2/3 of which would be exported to Europe through the Perso-Turkish pipeline. Every national and international oil producers operating in Kurdistan would have to comply. The profits would be managed by the Kurdistan Public Works department to facililtate construction of new factories, following the trade agreement between Iran and Germany.

Once again military spending and procurements underwent changes. The three planned Saint Louis class heavy cruisers where canceled. To supplement this loss, two raised La Galissonniere class light cruisers would be rebuilt and restored to service and two more De Grasse Class anti-aircraft cruises would be built. Additionally, the money saved from the canceled cruisers would be injected into the economy to help aid the French recovery.
