Hold on, that's not what socialism means. Socialism means the social/worker control of the means of production. It doesn't mean free healthcare.

I took an entire summer course on Socialism at university some time ago. Even though I'm not exactly sold on the idea of Anarchism, I am happy that you've found an ideology to call your own.

Well, the definition of Communism in the 20th century had always been confusing and complicated ever since Stalin came to power.

On the one hand, you have true Socialism and Communism, yet on the other hand, you have Stalin creating Stalinism, labelling it normal Communism, and leading to most other modern Communist countries basing their models off of Stalinism instead of original Communism.

So yes, while the USSR might be labelled as State Capitalist, depending on who you ask or where you look it could also be identified as Communist under the Stalinist definition.

That's my thought anyhow, correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm Socialist, not Communist. That means I have some Communist-like traits, but also more or the same amount of Democracy-like traits. Like Bernie Sanders, the United States Presidental Canadite that dropped out.

Sanders isn't a socialist. He's a social democrat. He either means Nordic social democracy or admits that he hasn't got a fucking clue what he's saying.

Generally those types of people often peddle things like "Communism killed 100 million people!", "Communism is when government" or worst of all "All communists are Stalinists"

I agree, Communism/Socialism is like the Democratic ideology or Christianity, a lot of different sub ideologies under a wider umbrella.

Forced labour and a one-party state aren't unique to communism. Once again, I'd like to point to Estado Novo and the other authoritarian capitalist governments of South America. The US, in fact, is a nation that practiced forced labour.

Communists did have freedom of race, though. Many communists fought against racism (Malcom X, Huey Newton and even MLK Jr. to a point) and were certainly much less racist than the contemporary West. Keep in mind this was an era where imperialism was still alive and well, Jim Crow was still in effect and people were getting lynched in the streets.
