Porter needs to stop playing the wonk, it is absolutely a losing strategy for a candidate with his track

I'm not playing the wonk, I'm just making sure it works behind the scenes, and he can defend himself in an interview. Remember all that calculation I did before Charleston? None of it was mentioned in the speech.

Anyway, scratch that app. I remembered my southern Democrat medicare-for-all guy. He's more important. What ongoing races do we have in the South that I can jump into?

Most pressing is the need for an incumbent governor of Louisiana

Interesting. Would we want a Democrat in that role or a Republican?

I could use the same character either way, just with a few tweaks. Basically, a dead-center moderate doctor who supports MFA.

If you make this guy, he'll definitely be a heavyweight in the Democratic primary. His endorsement would probably help crown the moderate leader and help swing the Southern Democratic vote. And probably a share of the AA vote.

WIP, I'll post full app when I get a few Paulson speeches finished.

NS Nation Name: Velahor
Character Name: Jackson Long (full name: Andrew Jackson Long Jr.)
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 57
Character Height: 6’2
Character Weight: 270
Character Position/Role/Job: Governor of Louisiana (2015-present)

United States Representative Louisiana 2nd District (2000-2014)
Deputy Administrator of the DOT Federal Highway Administration under President Clifford (1998-2000)
Political Consultant (1991-1998)

Appearance:
Image

Character State of Origin: Louisiana
Character State of Residence: Louisiana
Character Party Affiliation: Democratic

Main Strengths: is seen by many in Louisiana as the second coming of his grandfather Huey Long, populist, favored heavily among poor blacks and poor whites, commands the Louisiana Democratic Party with a heavy fist, bringing back the Share Our Wealth program, well-connected and generally loved in Louisiana, born-and-bred Southerner with lots of GOP crossover appeal, forceful political operator, king of the smoke-filled rooms but also a commanding speaker

Main Weaknesses: is seen by many around the country as the second coming of his grandfather Huey Long, endorsed Wolf over Clifford in 2016 (but has pledged to endorse a Democrat in 2020), uses way more Christian and religious rhetoric that most modern Democrats, regularly has to fend off allegations of socialism and communism, doesn't fit modern political paradigms

LA has term limits so to run for reelection, he'd need to have been elected in 2015 to be eligible.

That'd be fun Puert, I'd like to have a character of mine actually has a good relationship with one of yours lol considering Paulson's needling of Lilyana

This guy would also probably work really well with Papazian, but they have no reason to meet unless circumstances force it.
