Welcome (back) to the NS Parliament RP!

What is this?
This is a character-driven RP in which we roleplay as politicians in a fictional nation. This RP, now the NS Parliament, has origins in the former NSG Senate. We have two simple starting guidelines:

1. We are located in the Southeast Asian island nation of Banduria. We are a republic with a parliamentary system. The nation has a large Chinese population, with a mixed Dutch-Chinese minority and several other minority groups. The details of Banduria as a nation are listed in this Google doc, and I encourage you to read it over to get a good picture on what kind of nation we're roleplaying in.
The rest is up to the players! In this RP, we will legislate and politick, ally and backstab, and so much more! It is your choice what your character will be. Prominent and outspoken? Shady and quiet? Progressive? Conservative? Fascist? Communist? Centrist? Government? Opposition? Crossbencher? Journalist? Activist? The list goes on!

As soon as you submit you application, unless rejected, you become a Member of the (imaginary) Parliament of Banduria. You can then feel free to begin participating in the RP. You can do things like drafting a bill, voting on bills, and joining or creating a political party.

Who's in charge?
Our administrators run the RP and their decisions are final.
Admins: Van Hool Islands, United Provinces of Atlantica, Crylante, Zurkerx, Martune
We don't have strict rules, other than that godmodding is prohibited and our admins are fully in charge.
In the case of rule violations or unacceptable conduct, the offender will be warned. After two admin warnings within a month, disciplinary actions may escalate to a suspension or eventually a ban.

Zhang Xiaoqing says goodbye to her husband and daughters, catches a bus to the train station in Bloemenwijk, and takes an early morning train to Boschstad to reach there in time for the session of Parliament. She grabs a quick breakfast at a small Chinese restaurant near the train station, which she has visited most session days for the 20 years she has been in Parliament.

A teenage intern responds to the order, taking Floortje's money and turning on the milkshake machine to make such a milkshake. After a few minutes of operating the machine, the intern takes the finished product and hands it to Floortje, soon after handing a few coins as change.

The intern then responds to another customer, who orders a small helping of chicken tendies from the newly-installed food menu. After entering the product into the till, she asks the customer, "Would you like fries with that?".

The teenager on staff at the time delivers both milkshakes and the pho to the senators. It still seemed so surreal to her that national Banduri politicians continuously greeted her place of work. It was also frustrating that her manager had said no autographs. She didn't even like some of these politicians, but having a souvenir from serving them in person would be nice.
