"Hear, Hear!"

"Our government is already making progress. As Minister of Civil Administration, I have already drafted a bill that will completely digitize the Bandurian public administration, establish digital signatures and will move our country forward to the 21st century. I have to thank the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Joseph Yu for giving my ministry the chance to modernize our antiquated governmental structures."

"Order. The motion has required the requisite seconds, although regrettably I have let it drag out long enough to fulfill the 24 hours. I apologize to the house for this discrepancy. Voting will now commence on the Rule of Prodecure. All in favour say AYE, all against say NO. There will be 24 hours of voting."

"The motion has passed by unanimous consent. The Rule of Procedure are enacted, and will be signed by the executive in short order.

The next bill tabled is the Voter Registration and Representation Act, authored by Mr. van Aldenkamp. I will allow for twenty-four hours of discussion, but may extend that period depending on the debate which follows."

"Mister Speaker, as the author of this bill, I would like to confirm and re-iterate how important it is that we establish a process by which we can properly carry out elections such as the one set out in this bill."

Mister Speaker, this is a bill I expect to have multipartisan support, and I motion that it is passed via unanimous consent.

The prime minister rose from his seat.

"Mr. Speaker, I am glad to report that members of this government are working exceptionally hard on presenting before this house that will serve to benefit Banduria, her economy, and her people. Our four pillars are simple: economic reform, bureaucratic streamlining, tax reform, and a steadfast commitment to democracy and equality. Mr. Speaker, the Green Energy Financing Act, authored by my friend and this government's Finance Minister, the Honorable Rutger de Vries-Lau, is but one step in ensuring the vitality of our economy and the protection of our environment."

"We must confess, Mr. Speaker, that oil and coal extraction are dangerous for the environment. We would do better without. The only question is how to go about it. In many countries, the overarching approach has been to regulate precious industries like coal and oil out of existence. While such approaches have the veneer of protecting the environment, Mr. Speaker, in reality, they carry a rather dangerous overtone of stringent regulation against the world's most productive and prosperous industries. I maintain that Banduria should not turn its back from any sort of industry or trade that may bring employment and security upon our island."

"This bill tackles this problem the way government should go about these things. Instead of crushing environmentally-risky industry under the weight of government regulation and red-tape, this bill will instead give a necessary boost to environmentally-friendly industries. In such a way, the government of this country is encouraging the development of green industry that will offset the detractions of the polluters. In due time, the hands of the free market will do their work, and—slowly but surely—green energy will supplant traditional sources of energy in this country. This is the philosophy by which this government will govern. "

"May we beseech the favor of God Almighty, for our days be many and that our fruit be bountiful."

Hubert rose from his seat

"Mr. Speaker, as this country's Secretary for the Environment it is my esteemed pleasure to not only speak of this bill, but to vote for it as well. As my Right Honourable colleague has said, this bill provides green businesses and projects with the ability to get off the ground without punishing non-green industries. And while I am a strong environmentalist, it is my promise that I will work to ensure the protection of business as well. I urge every member to vote for this bill so that we can protect both our jobs and our beautiful island by giving green a fighting chance."

Speaker, I enjoy the well-meaning behind this bill and am willing to support it. My region has been a center of innovation and production of solar energy in particular and I would be very proud to return to my district with the news of this bill's passing. I cede my time.
