“Mr. Speaker, first let me congratulate Prime Minister Kang on being elected Prime Minister. He is an able civil servant and I trust him to be responsible with the power of government. I hope that the government coalition will find common ground with myself and other members of the UCP. Unfortunately, I am disappointed by the inclusion of the Socialist Party in the government. A liberal state, as Prime Minister Kang alluded to in his speech, is incompatible with a socialist vision. Socialists would place undue restrictions on businesses and the market in service of their ideological biases. I hope that the Kang government respects the role of the free market in creating prosperity for Banduria and the importance of private enterprise. Thank you.”

"Mr. Speaker, I would like to also assure the honorable colleague that we shall pursue only the absolutely necessary regulations to safeguard the basic rights of Bandurian workers. This government has no wish to strangle businesses with red tape or undue regulation, it only wishes to make sure that the rights of workers too are respected. My administration also firmly believes that the free market produces wealth and creates prosperity; what we are arguing for is that some of the wealth produced by the free market should be invested in vital social services in order to ensure that our economic growth is inclusive and that every Bandurian can have quality healthcare and education. After all, a capitalist free market economy needs an educated and healthy workforce in order to compete with foreign competitors. This will give us an edge in the global markets. Last but not least, I would like to express my thanks to the honorable colleague for his kind words. I am looking forward to finding common ground with the UCP, whenever that its possible. We need a responsible opposition to ensure that the government runs smoothly and to point out mistakes we may make, and I hope he and the UCP will provide that opposition."

I also wish to express my satisfaction that the UCP has so far been a responsible opposition, highlighting their concerns but also supporting measures they deem right. It is my sincere hope that this working relationship between my administration and the opposition can be maintained. My government aims to put an end to polarization and divisions, and to seek the broadest consensus."

"As for the bill itself, it is a moderate, sensible legislative bill that enacts common-sense regulations to safeguard the rights of the Bandurian workers while not going overboard and strangling businesses with undue red tape. It is the type of legislation that showcases the political philosophy behind this administration; a balance between the free market and careful state intervention. We can have both rights for our labor and economic growth; the two aren't mutually exclusive."

This bill seeks to give much-needed dignity to the working people of Banduria, particularly workers in industry, who are and will continue to be the vital engineers of Bandurian economic growth, while ensuring that businesses are not unduly restricted. Indeed, far from being mutually exclusive, I believe that sustainable economic growth is dependent on those who work for that growth having dignity and being able to do their work safely and at their best capacity."

"Mr. Speaker, as the world's economy is finally seeing some improvements following the present crisis, we are beginning to take note of its long-term effects. What plans can the prime minister put forth that will ensure financial stability, low unemployment, and economic prosperity, especially for the poorest Bandurians?"

"Mr. Speaker, as the world's economy is finally seeing some improvements following the present crisis, we are beginning to take note of its long-term effects. What plans can the prime minister put forth that will ensure financial stability, low unemployment, and economic prosperity, especially for the poorest Bandurians?"

"My administration has a comprehensive plan to ensure steady economic growth and the financial well-being of the Bandurian people. We plan on introducing legislation that will cut income tax for working and middle class Bandurians, compensating the fiscal shortfall with an increase in income taxation for the richest Bandurians. We also plan to increase spending on public healthcare and education, with focus on buying new equipment, hiring more teachers and doctors, and building new hospital and education facilities. Aside from that, we also plan to introduce legislation to make housing cheaper by reducing the cost of mortgages. Details shall be made public once the bill has been brought into public consultation. We also plan on legislating tax benefits for corporations that hire more people, offering them a reduction in corporate tax in accordance to the number of people hired that year. All in all, my government shall focus on increasing funding for social services and reducing taxation on the average Bandurian while raising taxation for the richest, who should contribute more to keep our society functional."

"Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Simply put, the fight for LGBT rights around the world, including in Banduria and around the region, has shown the very real and very human nature of a community that has been vilified and persecuted. As a republic, it should be our duty to protect the rights of all of our citizens, and this bill will ensure just that. Additionally, as Minister of Defence and the Interior, it brings me great pleasure to say that this bill will also allow our soldiers to serve our Armed Forces without fear of being discharged unjustly simply because of who they love or how they identify. If they are willing to serve in this way, then the least we can do is ensure that they can serve proudly and unafraid."
