More generally, does the government have any plan for improving any of our infrastructure that does not involve blindly passing it off to corporations?"

Yang Kang stood up. "I am honored to be nominated for the office of Prime Minister, and I accept the nomination. As Prime Minister, I shall strive to work for all Bandurians. We need inclusive growth, modernization and a plan to combat climate change, and those will be my priorities."

Yang Kang stood up and addressed the chamber.

"I want to thank sincerely all those who voted in favor of my candidacy. I pledge, however, to be the Prime Minister of all Bandurians. I pledge to do my best to unite the people of this country regardless of their political ideology, their ethnicity or their religion. I will be the Prime Minister of the many but also of the few. I wish to bring unity to this country and put an end to division, hatred and polarization."

"The coalition government comprised of the Democratic Party, the Socialist Party and the Reform Party aims to bring progressive change to Banduria. My administration has certain aims it hopes to accomplish: cheaper housing, substantial investment in public healthcare and education, a fairer tax system with lower burden on the working and middle classes and higher burden on the richest, regulations to safeguard workers' rights, a radical environmental agenda to stem the tide of climate change and legislation to fight against discrimination and inequality."

"This is a radical, liberal agenda. An agenda that will transform completely Banduria. My administration will ensure that our economic growth shall be inclusive; for how can we speak of growth, if the average Bandurian does not benefit from it? My administration will build a modern, European-style welfare state that will ensure that every Bandurian will have access to high-quality healthcare and education. My administration will face the gravest threat to humanity; climate change."

Yang Kang drank some water from his glass and continued with the announcement of the new Bandurian cabinet. "Aside from the office of Prime Minister, I shall also assume the Ministry of Environmental Protection. This shows the urgency my administration will give to facing the climate crisis. Ms. Alana Lam shall be Minister of Finance, Ms. Zhang Xiaoqing Minister of Public Administration and Justice, Ms. Zhang Yazhu Minister of Defense and Interior, Ms. Anita Chow Minister of Foreign Affairs."

"This cabinet shall convene regularly and coordinate under my direction to bring forward the progressive agenda I've described. We shall move fast in legislating and implement reforms across the board and in moving this country forward. My motto is: hard work!"
