It sucks especially when you have a character with superintellgence/Intellect (like Tennerman) and then have him focus on fighting and building himself up, but he can't, since his suit has so many limits.
In Superhero RPs, this tends to happen a lot. The only real advice to give in such situations is to find a way to translate this into an IC event, and have the character grow from/evolve further. Just because you applied with X doesn't mean that is set wholly in stone. As for the concerns about realism, I don't know what else to say, so far you have been the only one to complain, which even now is an issue of majority rules. The RP is unlikely to change when one out of the twenty or so people doesn't like an aspect of it, sorry.
