Drone R&D Continues - Prototype Testing
The R&D Department of the Federation Armed Forces is steadily continuing the pursuit for better drones to be used in combat. Currently testing is underway for a new prototype jet-like unmanned drone with a length of 2 meters capable of carrying more missile payload and able to extend its operating range up to 50 km, and a maximum altitude of 5 km. Early testing have proved some difficulties in relaying the signal to control the drone at long ranges, but the R&D Department is hard at work to iron the problem out.

Domestic Development
With several areas identified, infrastructure and other important buildings are undergoing repairs, maintenance and upgrade where ever possible to make sure that Selangor will better thrive as part of the Federation. More in-house farms are also being gazetted to increase food production to provide for the new residents of the Federation in key areas in Selangor.

Military Groups Amassing on the Borders
3 groups of the Federation Armed Forces have gathered at the east coast bordering Johor-Pahang to strike coastal cities with the other two making their preparations at the Selangor-Pahang border, aiming to strike the northern and central part of Pahang. Taking all these 3 key population dense areas (in the former nation of Malaysia) will ensure that Pahang falls under the Federation. Selangor's entry into the Federation meant that soldiers who were once under their respective warlords are now given the task of serving the Federation's interest. Young men at the age of 18 and above who are not yet in the military are required to undergo military training for 1 month and be put as a reservist to backup the invasion force.

September - November 2102

Invasion of Pahang

With the invasion of Pahang underway, all other development needs are halted in order to supply the army with their needs. The ground force as well as the limited air force made up of unmanned drones pave their way into Pahang with a total force of 1,500 personnel. Limited amount of reservists are stationed behind the invasion force, with some mechanized assets (vehicles) on standby.

Northern Taiwan Annexed!

Taiwan is now completely administered by the Pearl Dynasty. In a recent ceremony with the island's surviving government Taiwan and the Philippines were joined in union. Many Taiwanese refugees that fled to Luzon during the war have begun to return to their homes. Trade and migration between Taiwan and the Philippines has increased.

Exploration Ships Set Out!

Two warships from Taiwan have been sent out to follow the Asian coastline. One heading north and the other heading south. The purpose of these expeditions is to ascertain any surviving governments and settlements that have not been previously discovered by the Dynasty.

Pahang successfully annexed!
After 2 months of fighting, the three army groups have managed to take over all the major cities in Pahang and claim it for the Federation. They were met with some resistance but not as much as the invasion of Selangor due to the cities being less populated in terms of density. With the capture of Pahang, the Federation has secured another two hydroelectric dams, several fresh water reservoirs as well as some small wind turbine farms spread across the land for the use of its people. The city of Kuantan is officially designated as Pahang's capital city with its newly elected de facto leader, Hamzah Syukur.

Johor-Singapore Bridge Construction Under Fire!
A section of the Army tasked with the defense of the bridge construction have been handling several assaults by small armed groups of people from the island. Since the construction started in late 2101, only 5 Federation personnel were KIA with another 15 injured. The army section is comprised of 60 soldiers and 2 IFV's stationed at the Singapore end of the bridge, getting there using small transport ships from Johor. The construction is nearly done and is expected to finish by the end of March 2103.

Military R&D Department
The new unmanned drone dubbed 'Helang' or Eagle in Malay language has finally entered production after months of testing & development. Capable of carrying 4 medium sized ground attack J-ARM missiles with 2 on each of its wings, it is able to safely operate within a range of 50 km and a maximum altitude of 5 km. With a length of 2 metres and wingspan of 2.4 metres, once in the sky it would be a very small and hard to hit target. Small-scale production of 6 units is underway. Meanwhile R&D is continued on the Exoskeleton project dubbed 'EXO' with full support from the government.

News Flash:

Goedenavond, this is the evening news. Merry Christmas to everyone, we hope you all have a grand time. Firstly, the president has invited all of the top tycoons of the top companies of the country to a Christmas dinner. What they will be discussing will be explained at the press conference soon after. Next to those tycoons, a few other members have been invited including some special athletes and heroic citizens. We shall report to you live as soon as we have more information.

Next, the recently deceased politician Roderick Noordhof has been confirmed to have committed suicide. Police confirmed the suspicions of many last night as they released the official and final statement about this bizarre case. The general populous hasn't really reacted in a way, something which is to be expected. Noordhof was an infamous outspoken anti-establishment speaker, he has gone on record for insulting many other politicians and persons of high status. The apathy shown towards his passing seems very natural in that regard.

Lastly, the president has announced that elections are upcoming. Political experts have stated that they predict the president to win in a landslide once more. His past trackrecord with elections shows it thus, with almost 90% of all voters casting their vote and winning that with 95% of the popular vote.

Dynasty Makes Landfall in China!

An Forward Operating Base is established on the Asian mainland closest to Taiwan. China was one of the most heavily hit areas during the war so expansion and search for survivors on the continent will take time.

Possible Nations in Asia?

The two warships sent out to follow the shoreline of eats Asia have found evidence of possible societies. Ones much more sophisticated and advanced than the scattered fishing villages that have been recorded thus far. High radio activity near the Korean and Malay peninsulas have been discovered. Unknown Ships Spotted Off the Coast!
Recently two unknown ships have been spotted by the Federation military stationed in Kuantan Port, Pahang state. In response to the observation, the military relayed the information to the government where the swift reply was to open all radio channels and attempt to establish contact. It was decided to use English language to contact the ship as it was the most common language used before the nuclear war. "Station Kuantan Port of the Federation of Malaya to unknown ships 10 nautical miles off the coast of Kuantan city. Please identify yourself and your origin country." The radio operator tried to send the message on all available channels.

First Contact!

Just as the Philippine warship began to think they were mistaken in believing there existed a major presence on the Malay Peninsula communication was established! On all frequencies a message spoken in English was picked up. Immediately a response was sent back. “Station Kuantan Port this is the PDS Amihan of the Philippine Dynasty. We are traveling south along the coastline of continental Asia seeking contact with any and all surviving powers.”

Reply to The Philippine Dynasty Warships
"Roger that PDS Amihan of Philippines Dynasty, please standby on this channel." the radio operator replied. He asked the station commander on what to do next, on which the commander relayed to the top command. After a few seconds, an order came in from the Federation government on the reply.

"PDS Amihan, the government of Malaya Federation has received your message. We acknowledge your presence and will give you safe passage through our waters. Should any problems arise this channel is always open and respective military stations on the coast of the Federation will respond as long as you are in our waters. We are glad that there is another surviving nation nearby. The Malaya Federation wishes you good will on your sailing and should the Dynasty be willing to begin diplomatic ties, we are always here. Out." The broadcast is cut off (mic turned off) but the channel remains open.

The Station Commander steps in to brief his subordinates. "We have received words from the Department of Armed Forces to keep an eye on them from our coasts. Sure we have shown grace and eager to begin diplomatic ties but we should always be careful as this is our first time encountering them." All the military staff in the Station control room obliges and returns to their duties.

A new System

The Sublime Current declared a new expansion into Cuba, as Louisianian Navy was already in the Gulf and patrolling around the Carib. That, and also setting up more radios and coms systems, those Cascadians could be planning something.

Our proposed flag for when colonization time approaches. The two proposed flags by the government. We thought that it'd be vital to channel the old Union energies, and one of those was one of our ancient flags that we've discovered. Proof of Organized Governments Found!

After the brief radio communication between the Malay Federation and PDS Amihan the leadership in Manila was alerted. An official diplomatic delegation is currently being prepared for official relations between the Federation and the Dynasty. Once the PDS Amihan signed off with Station Kuantan Port the warship rounded the tip of the Malay Peninsula, went through the Straight of Malacca, and exited out into the Bay of Bengal.

Domestic Developments
With the Johor-Singapore bridge completed, the military has been paved a way for an invasion of Singapore to happen in a few more months. Meanwhile Pahang infrastructure repair & development is well underway since its capture with electricity and water available in the major cities. Military sites & bases in the state are being converted to be used as proper military outposts to train fit men in Pahang as reservist soldiers for 1 month under the new Mandatory Military Reservist Act.

Foreign Affairs
The contact with a new nation, the Philippines Dynasty has prompted the formation of a Foreign Affairs Department in the government to handle matters related to other nations in an efficient manner. New foreign policies are being made which is be friendly to all nations and share the benefits of trade & technology together.

R&D Department
Project 'EXO', equipping a portion of the Federation soldiers with exoskeletons is going well. As of now it is undergoing rigorous testing to make sure that it can perform its intended tasks and durable enough for the conditions of a war. Another 5 new 'Helang' have been manufactured with the total being 10.

Louisianian ships will be moving towards the Cayman Islands, ordered by top governmental members closest to DuBois. Plans were also made to take Jamaica and the Turks-&-Caicos, in the near-future. Recently, President-for-Life DuBois was largely gone, though that's because we know that he's courting and dating currently, and that takes up alot of time. Singapore Occupied!
A force of 600 men and some IFV's were dispatched into Singapore after reconnaissance and air bombing by 8 'Helang'. Singapore was finally captured in a week. Repairs & development were done on the island's infrastructure after 1 week of recovery.

R&D Department
'EXO' project is almost finished with some final tuning and more testing to be done.

New Bauxite Mines in Pahang
New grounds in Pahang rich in bauxite are found and now being mined to turn it into aluminium.

September - November 2103 (Fall)

Armed Forces Department
The EXO exoskeleton is finally in small production with a unit of the Special Ops numbering 20 men are the first to have it. Another 5 Helang is manufactured. The army is now preparing to make their advance into Perak state.

R&D Department
Research is now underway to reverse engineer small warships to be run on hybrid fuel made of palm oil and supplemented with electricity from solar energy. Currently there are 4 such warships in Malaya's arsenal. They were previously Malaysia's. Other warships are either located in other states or are out of commission.

National Census
A national census is underway to determine the number of population in each state and the number of households.

December 2103 - February 2104 (Winter)

Expansion into Perak!

A force of 1,200 soldiers and some other assets were deployed in two groups to capture Perak's major cities and crucial iron & copper ore mines. Helangs' paved the way for the first assault as the army made their way into the state. A unit of Special Ops soldiers equipped with EXO's were tasked with infiltrating behind enemy lines and gather intel as well as conduct reconnaissance while providing fire strike missions for the Helangs'.

R&D Department
Using palm oil to power vehicles means that research needs to be done to refine the oil to become usable for engines. The process and the knowledge of refining oil as well as the engine structure required to run on it has already been known since 2015 therefore R&D is now put into actually using it efficiently to power a whole warship.

Dynasty Continues North!

Dynasty forces continue to move north along the Chinese coast. In the coming months the Dynasty plans to establish their northern most border in the city of Shanghai. Once this boundary is achieved the Dynasty plans on consolidating her holdings in the south of the country.

In a brief conflict Dynasty forces take Shanghai after liberating the city from a warlord. A new civilian government is quickly formed bringing Shanghai into the Pearl Dynasty.

First Contact With Northern Nation!

The PDS Xueman makes peaceful contact with a ship from a country somewhere in northern Asia. A message is sent in all available languages and frequencies to invite the foreign ship to Taiwan for an information exchange.

Military Development
Two warships of cruiser class docked in Perak's port was captured bringing the total number of warships of Malaya Federation to 6. 4 out of 6 have been modernized to be able to run on electricity sourced from the palm oil hybrid engine and retractable solar panels. With the capture of important ore mines in Perak supplemented by ore mines in Pahang, more military equipment are able to be produced. EXO exoskeletons are now being used by 100 soldiers compared to previously just 20. A total of 40 Helang drones have been manufactured.

R&D Department
Transport ships/ferries with two or more decks that are able to carry a payload of 200 soldiers and several armored vehicles are now being developed. These ships are to be run on palm oil and retractable solar panels. The possibility of applying hovercraft technology is being researched and explored, but may be used on smaller amphibious transport vehicles.

Domestic Development
A recent national census has shown that Malaya Federation now has a total of 135,417 citizens in 6 states as of March 2104 with a demographic of 67% Malay, 20% Chinese, 10% Indian and 3% others. The census also revealed that most citizens are either employed in the industry or farming sector, with a small percentage of 5% are involved in the military as soldiers or other military support roles. Total military reservists numbers at 15,000 due to the mandatory 1 month military training act for men of age 18.

Airport Repairs Underway!

Airports across the Dynasty are being repaired for future use. Though international air traffic has been nonexistent since the bombs fell the Dynasty prepares for the eventual return of this mode of travel. Officials and engineers are combing the wreckage and structures for any planes, equipment, and materials that can be salvaged.

National Sports League in Development!

The Dynasty plans to create a sports league to promote health and fitness. When news of the development broke many citizens began forming teams in anticipation. So far basketball and volleyball are the most popular.
