The Interstellar Constitutional Convention
Welcome to the Andromedan government.
Allison Ricardo looked surprised, but accepted her fate. Her unanimous election as presiding officer of the Interstellar Constitutional Convention was perhaps an honor — and also a condemnation to countless hours of work arranging papers and keeping track of proposals. Making her way up to the central podium, she realized she didn't even have the forethought to bring a gavel.
Delegates had reportedly flown in from across the galaxy to be here, and Ricardo was loathe to disappoint. Adjusting the microphone, she decided to forego a lengthy introduction and immediately get down to business.
"Well," she said, "we've all come here to found a government. Let's get to it. The docket up here is open for proposals, and the floor is open for debate."
