With the Wahhabists out of the way proper reforms could take place, in spring of 2021, Salman announced the strengthening of other strands of Salafism in religious education classes to dilute the effects of Wahhabism. This more secularist approach went event further when the government strengthened the E-Visa program. Other changes were happening, however, in 2021 the Riyadh metro system became fully operational connecting the sprawling city and boosting its potential as a business hub for the future, this became coupled with an investment plan into the central business district of the city, in which it was announced 12 Skyscrapers would be constructed over the course of the next decade. Other aspects of the visions plan also started to take effect, the first large scale uranium mines were opened up in 2022 along with further gold mines. In Dammam and Jeddah, aquaculture facilities were constructed and large scale fish farms helped the country capitalize on its endeavors. In 2023 King Salman would die at the age of 87, passing the power to his son, now King Mohammend bin Salman. MBS first large scale move just after taking power was the reorganization of the Anti-Corruption Committee into the Corruption Commission, an independent body from the government which policed the system and police forces for cases of mishandling, creating an effective whistleblower system throughout the nation. MbS then dealt with some of the fallout of the Yemeni conflict ordering the beginning of an Army restructuring campaign.
