Breaking News! Chancellor Kasel has announced another foreign intervention in the country of Laraosi. This move has been echoed with some praise, but many are decrying the move as another "Capilean Folly." The Chancellor is scheduled to give a speech on the matter in the next few days.

In this RP, it appears everyone is in a Tenuous cease-fire.

It depends on who you ask. Legally, they are rebels, but some of them are not openly hostile. Some are in the process of negotiating their surrender, some enter and leave the Republic at will, and some are engaged in open combat with the new Republic fleet. It’s a situation similar to Syria, where different groups constantly shift sides.

Absolutely. You can do speeches, but also try to bribe senators, or try to influence the process some other way. All cards are on the table.

I’m going to do it tomorrow, I think. But you guys are very good at creating some plot for yourselves, so I would also like to say that you are encouraged to so that as well. I will, as much as possible, take cues from that as well.

The Kashyyyk delegate is probably from the Wookie guerillas, and the other parties probably have at least some planet representation, but they get most of their influence by done much of the fighting and dying during the Civil War. The more peaceful the universe gets, the less they will be able to influence galactic politics.

I gonna have to try to get my own state soon. So, I'll start on that. Am I able to do a "declaration of independence" yet with my level of support?

I thought the NPP was a political party in the Republic? :o though that's a thought. Could decentralists and separatists push for a legal independence mechanism?

The delay may continue.... I ended up watching a 2.28 hour version of the 1927 silent film 'Metropolis' with two other people through Discord, and thus did not complete the task I had intended to have finished today.

Oh my app? Well they're not really a nation, yet. They're a bunch of escaped and revolting slaves who formed a military and invaded their homeworld. And now since the war is over, the Wookiees in charge now have to deal with the fact that they can't agree on anything other than beating up the Empire.

Also, if you're wondering why I haven't been posting everyone, well, Empire of Tau is currently working on stitching together a mega-meeting post (for the meeting on Salobea) consisting of dialogue that has been forwarded to him via TG.

I've added something for the slavery plotline - essentially Vitroix has signed off a major slavery shipment (though she is doing what she can to keep her hands clean) that can presumably be intercepted or battled over by slavers/anti-slavers.

Application
Personal information
Name: Christopher Liu
Age:43
Species:Human
Appearance:Christopher Liu
Planet of origin: Naboo
Rank and title: Admiral|Head of House Liu
Short biography: Christopher Liu was born as an aristocrat on the planet of Naboo. As a child, he was taught about the history of his house and military tactics, which was unusual for people of Naboo at the time. Before settling on Naboo, his family was known to have produced skilled admirals during the ages which the Republic still required a navy. After meeting and hearing about Ranulph Tarkin's achievements, Christopher aspired to one day to join the Republic's, Judicial Force. Through hard work, his own brilliance, and connections, he was able to attend the Judicial Academy and following that, he was commissioned as a captain on one of the few armed Consular-class cruisers. During his time in service of the Judicial forces, he became known as a skilled but aggressive captain. He was known to attack pirates before attempting to negotiate with them. This won him many enemies within the Judicial Force, and only his connections helped save his career.

After the Separatist wars began, Christopher was given the rank captain and was to command one of the Acclamator-class assault ships that were being commissioned from the Kuat Drive Yards. Christopher fought with at the First Battle of Geonosis where his cruiser destroyed three Separatist core ships after a prolonged engagement. He then coordinated a few of the surrounding Consular and Acclamators to bring down another 5 core ships. After this, he was promoted to commodore and was given command of a Venator class, which was named Fearless. At his next posting, he witnessed the severe mistreatment of the people under the Separatists and as a result, he made it his personal goal to help destroy the Separatists. After some time he was placed under the Admiral Yularen's command. Here he thrived and made himself known as a commander that valued the lives of the sailors that he commanded. He fought in multiple battles for the Republic which included the battle over Coruscant. By then he was considered one of the most promising human officers that the Republic had.

When Palpatine announced the formation of the Empire and the end of the Galatic Republic, he was shocked. After all, this was the man that had led the Republic during the Separatist Wars. After some consideration, he decided to desert the navy and form a rebel cell against the Empire. Taking with him his Venator and several Acclamators, he waged war against the Empire. Originally he based his fleet in the Mid Rim, where they ran amuck and was a general nuisance to Imperial shipping and the occasional patrols that they faced. He was unaware that Naval Intelligence had tracked his fleet's movement when they exited hyperspace, Christopher was shocked that a fleet of 4 Imperial Class Star Destroyers facing his motley flotilla. His flagship the Fearless, was the main focus of this fleet as it was a Venator that wasn't in Imperial control. The space duel lasted for hours as the ships traded shots. In the end, however, Christopher was forced by his crew to leave the burning ship. He fled aboard the Pride which was an Acclimator under his command. Instead of staying inside the Middle Rim, he decided to leave for the Outer Rim, where Imperial influence was weaker. There he would wage battles against local pirates and crime lords, though he made sure to stay clear of Hutt and Black Sun controlled space. His crew was a mix of experienced officers and sailors that made up the core of the ship and local recruits that wanted to make a living. The locals, though skilled, were lacking the experience and the discipline that his officers and experienced sailors had. This, however, didn't stop them from stopping pirates and launching occasional attacks on Imperial shipping and small Imperial patrols. During one of these raids, Christopher managed to gain the attention of a local rebel cell. They quickly contacted him, when they figured out he was a former Rear-Admiral in the Old Republic's navy. After a brief discussion, Christopher agreed to join the rebel cell, which then departed to join the main rebel cell.

Due to his past record, and the rebel's severe lack of professional and experienced officers, Christopher was given the rank of Vice-Admiral for the alliance's navy. He served on his Acclamator Pride during the Battle of Scarif and in many skirmishes with Imperial forces thereafter. After the battle of Yavin, he was then reassigned to oversee the Mid Rim Retreat, following the Battle of Yavin. Despite being a crucial part of the Rebel Alliance, Christopher decided to be the rear guard for the retreat. After ambushing an Imperial II Star Destroyer and its escorts with his fleet, Christopher found himself in command of an Imperial II Star Destroyer. However, this battle caused him to lose 15 CR90 Corvettes and 10 Nebulon-B Frigate. His familiarity with capital Imperial warships as they had been based on the older Republican Venators, along with it being lightly damaged in the fighting made it the obvious choice to make it his capital ship.

After an admirable performance during the Battle of Endor, Christopher was given command of a sizeable battle group and was ordered to mop up large groups of hostile Imperial Remnants in the Mid Rim, while the rest of the fleet made a beeline for Coruscant. Following the founding of the New Republic, he was formally granted the rank of Admiral within the Republic's fleet and continues to hunt against pirates and Imperial remnants. Despite not joining the Senate, he still holds some power within the Senate through his connections. Through these connections, he had learned that Commodore Curro was growing her battlegroup far larger than what was appropriate. Despite not taking an action against her, he is preparing for potential battles against her.
