Fair. Though I wonder if the very low population counts for the remaining claims are deterring people? If so, we could boost populations instead I suppose, but that feels like avoiding the root cause of the problem by smacking on bandaids.

In the late 2090s, after the Gold rush in the outer planets, NerV industries were the product of General Dynamics, Amazon, and Samsung pooling resources together, and merging into a juggernaut of a company. They made a good profit off of building colony ships for the treks outwards, with Samsung and GD's shipbuilding experiences prior, they made quality ships, and made good money because of it. They expanded into developing technologies for military organizations, as well as a private military force.

As the UN's military budget went up during the militarization and pirate raidings in the late 2090s and 2100s onwards, NerV was contracted to design weapons features, fire control systems, radars, and the likes. During this time, the PMC was expanded to Trade route protection, with the acquirement of its first squadron of ships in the 2120s. This was followed by the requirements of fleets of mining ships, mining the belt, along with setting up refineries on Vesta. As the belt insurgency began, the corporation was attacked by insurgents, being seen as a corporate overlord.


After the Martain war of independence, they saw that the UN was faltering, it's control lessening. They began to shift to being more friendly with the colonists and the rebel groups, ceasing most attacks on the corporation through this. They were one of the suppliers to rebel fronts from the belt, but still worked for the UN in some respects, but the contracts they got from the UN government lessened and lessened, as other corporations slowly took over shipbuilding for them.

In recent years, NerV squadrons have skirmished with UN fleets over mining rights in the belt, with most NerV mining ships being escorted by armed warships. As such, they have set up mining stations in the belt, trying to solidify that they should have the mining rights in the belt, instead of the UN.


Culture: Mainly the same as Vesta itself, most employees on the Asteroid are English, Canadian, or Australian. On other Corporate locations across the solar system, the demographics can vary depending on the dominant race on the planet or moon. As such, the corporation attempts to be equal to all races, with people of different races obtaining HR and Mid-level positions frequently.
