The Year is 2965 BCE, the place? Sicily, where the Unusually Culturally Modern Civilization of Quixvilireem has just undergone another yearly election. The Peasant class settles in for another tense year of poverty as Trade Guilds politically enslave the Citizen’s Assembly by way of their own political clout. However, tensions are starting to reach a boiling point, as more and more Peasants begin protesting the lack of Government action on Poverty and other cultural ills. The group they blame? The Guilds, and the Traders Assembly, for using their clout to cancel out the Citizens Assembly and take control of the Senate. The Guilds have gained too much power, and it now threatens the security of the Quixites tradition of Personal and Economic freedoms. Peasant militias and Guild Security Forces are coming to blows in the mountains of Quixa, and the weak government army struggles to keep the situation under control. All signs point to a major peasant revolt…
This is a civil war RP taking place in my Nation, a Bronze Age Civilization located on the island of Sicily. To Sign up, get out a map of sicily, and claim a REASONABLY SMALL AREA. I’m going to be playing as the Government of course, and every other faction can either be a Guild Army (Basically a Private Security force for a MegaCorp, except it’s the middle of the Bronze age,) or one of the Peasant Factions.
Don’t be afraid to bring in modern Ideologies, (except islamist) If you read my factbooks you should have all the information you need. But here is the basic TL;DR: This is a Bronze Age culture located on what we would call the island of sicily, but it’s cultural and Political ideals are millenia ahead of it’s time. Personal Freedom and Individual Property rights are already key tenants of this people, whereas in OTL, we did not see this arise until the late 18th century. So Ideals such as rudimentary communism can be completely green lighted. Something else that ONE person can do, is play as minoan traders from the isle of crete.
When you claim, feel free to make up your own city to be the base of operations. Not much is known about the early days of this culture until this point, which was the first event of this culture so noteworthy writing was used for purposes other than meticulous record keeping.
