Anyway, is the italics text at the beginning of the IC something we "might" hear in our dreams or something we "definitely" hear in our dreams or neither, just flavor?

I'm leaning toward no conjuration for the players, but if you want Merlin to appear in a dream then go for it. Judoc obviously did not have a dream, his destiny was twisted so he'd be there.

Biography:Maddux was born to Sir Palamedes and Lady Riwana just Two years after the fall of King Arthur and the Death of Riwana's First Hubsand and Palamedes's Sir Salomon the Forestor, who had been slain When Lancelot, Palamedes, Sif and Other Knights betrayed Arthur and Rescued the Queen. It had taken Lancelot, Safir, and Palamedes working together to beat and Slay Salomon, with Palamedes landing the killing blow. For years Palamedes hid this Riwana and her with Salomon, Rhydain. When Riwana had shown up in Duke Palamedes's lands in Provence., as he was made and due to his guilt over slaying Salomon, he took in Riwana and Rhydain. A Few years later Rhydain and Maddux were practicing the basics of fighting with Spear and Sword when Palamedes took Riwana and Rhydain to the side and told them. Rhydain ran away not long after. Maddux was upset with his father for years and even blamed him for Rhydain running away. After this Maddux kept his father and mother at a Distance. As soon as Maddux was old enough to go on raids and Campaigns his father knighted him and made him a officer of a small contingent of soldiers. Maddux was a good leader and even better fighter. He worked the way up the ranks of his father's military, but as he worked the Visigoths started pushing in. At First They held, but slowly they pushed back Sir Palamedes's Forces, till only His Father fortress and sorrounding town on the coast was the only safe haven left in Palamedes's lands. They tried tp evacuate the town and fortress by sea but where attacked in the process. Palamedes sent Riwana and Maddux andd half of his forces and placed them under Maddux's command on the last of the ships out to sea. Palamedes and the rest werent heard of again.

The evacuation by sea didnt go as planned a storm blew in on the first day and drove the fleet across the Mediterranean Sea into North Africa. Most of the ships were wrecked and manu of tye refugees were never heard of again. Many more would die from the heat and lack of water and good. Before it was said and done fully half of the refugees we're dead before Maddux and his mother got things under control. The remaining refugees scavenged what they could from the wrecked ships and made their way inland. Attacks by the Nomadic Desert Tribes started almost as soon qs they started the track inland, wittling down what remained of Maddux's fighting force. Eventually only a handful of soldiers, and civilians remained and they was running out of food and water. One day they stopped for the night and were surrounded. A fight ensued but Maddux andbwhat soldiers remained managed to repulse the raiders three times before the raiders called in reinforcements, and stopped the attacks, just watching as they grew despeerate as the food and water ran out and the heat start to take more effect. Eventually Riwana and Maddux called a parley with their attackers and surrendered to their attackers. Those that remained were taken as slaves and sold. While waiting to be sold Riwana and several others passed away. After being sold with a portion of his remaining men, Maddux would fight for different owners over the next few years in different wars and battles as his owners would be neat and he would be owned by the Victor. Before two long he was a slave soldier of a Saracen lord fighting the Eastern Roman Empire. His owner was slain in battle, so Maddux and the remaining army surrendered. After the surrender, he was again taken slave and sold to a blacksmith In Damascus, who offered Maddux freedom for five years of service. Maddux was a horrible blacksmith, but was good with money and fighting, so he served the blacksmith as both bodyguard and store clerk. With each passing day Maddux was less a slave and more family, so by the end of the five years Maddux had been freed from slavery, and had married a former Breton Slave that worked at a nearby inn. After months of talking, and saving the young couple started on the long journey back to Briton.

After a few weeks of travel over land, they ran into a merchant looking for guards for his caravan as the caravan journeyed to Brittany, Maddux took a job as a guard for the Caravan. While the progress was slower, they were generally Safer, so they took the trade off. The journey was hard and they often had to fight off bandits, highway men, and raiders. After reaching Brittany, Maddux and his wife went north into Briton and settled in South Rhedeg. Maddux joined the local militia, and his wife worked at a inn. Before to long Maddux found the life as a militiamen boring, and with his wife pregnant the pay not very good. He decided to go from Militia to Army, and eventually Mercenary. He is currently at Beckery Chapel.

Maddux is around 5'8" and 165 lbs of Nothing but muscle. His skin tone is that of a Saracen, while his Hair and eyes are that of a Briton. His body is covered in Scars and he does what he can to hide the scars in tattoos of Woad.
