POWERS: Tano is a powerful cryokinetic, possessing power over the cold. He can create and manipulate cold energy including cold air which he can generate if there is a presence of air and subsequently attain a specific form of aero-telekinesis. He is capable of emitting beams and blasts of cold energy appearing as ice and frost that can freeze targets up to near absolute zero temperatures with stronger beams also possessing considerable concussive force. He can create crude constructs of ice, unfreeze ice and release cold from his body. A rare personal ability of his is the emission of cold energy beams from his eyes which is weaker than his other blasts of cold but still capable of freezing a target within a few meters of him. He is naturally immune to the cold including its effects like frostbite and commonplace weakening of the immune system by cold weather. Capable of both aerokinetic flight and cryokinetic flight at the same time, he can attain speeds of up to 75 mph in the air within 4 seconds of acceleration. The frostbite his attacks can induce can be fatal, freezing flesh and material so that they can be shattered. His range of manipulation is constrained to 30 meters and his ranged attacks have a reach of a further 30 meters. His powers are choreographed and single attacks can be evaded even by normal unarmed humans. Unlike popular belief, he cannot manipulate ice or snow, only the cold energy that composes them which means he appears to be manipulating ice and snow but he isn't actually manipulating solid elements but rather the energy that make up the solids. Not that he is going to correct that belief anytime soon.

PERSONALITY: Adhering to the adage of love who you are, Tano sometimes takes said adage too far. Of course, what social media star isn't obsessed with themselves to some extent? Its pretty much a requirement of the job, to flaunt yourself to others, give them an image they like. And everyone loves the caring, confident guy, the guy who is empathetic to others, the guy who wants to get to know everyone and be buddies with all. But the social side of it is an illusion at best for Tano. He doesn't really give a damn about that shit, no matter how much he tries to convince himself otherwise. Those who always whine and complain about circumstances beyond their control...Why does he have to give an ear to such pathetic creatures? Many smiles are fake, many tears are fake. Only in the heat of the moment can Tano escape the bullshit around him. There is nothing fake about the exhilaration of action. And there is absolutely nothing fake about the cold. Yet, despite his macho bravado, there is still fear within. He's grown to love violence and its becoming an infatuation. Is it a symptom of the past? Or a demon that has always been inside him? Who's really being fake?

BIOGRAPHY:

He'd always been working a sweat ever since he could remember. The ball came in all shapes and forms and the game always changed. Rules always changed but the foundations remained the same. The need for speed, the need for strength, the need for stamina. You couldn't discriminate against those. But other things you could.

Tano is of a mixed heritage; Pacific Islander, Filipino and a little bit of African-American. His middle-class father always wanted him to attend only the best schools and that meant private. Tano tried to fit in. He really did try.

Sports became an escape. It became a passion which evolved into a possible future for Tano. And he could play well at many things. But he had an appetite for contact of the rougher kind, something that was cultivated initially in karate and eventually in boxing. He found getting better at boxing had the indirect effect of people leaving him alone at school, even respect in the eyes of some. But he didn't want them to leave him alone...not when he finally had the ability to fight back...

He was good. Real good. Turns out having Gene M helped. A respectable amateur record of 103-17, he's taken hits and can dole out hits. A pretty face and body opened more doors in the online realm, product and brand endorsements rolling in when his following blew up. He was especially competitive in physique bodybuilding shows, all natural of course. With his social media accounts and competitive winning from competitions raking in more than enough money for a good living, he didn't even have to turn pro. But turn pro he did. To everyone's surprise, it wasn't in boxing nor bodybuilding.

The offer from Team Infinity had been on the table for a while. The hero industry was a whole different ballgame and Tano had done his research. Whatever danger boxing posed paled in comparison to the life of a hero...a superhero. Some skills were transferable such as managing PR but Tano didn't sign the contract because of that. He signed because he knew he'd get some action.

• Levitation: She can levitate two feet above the ground, but cannot otherwise move any faster than she normally would. If above two feet above the nearest solid surface when using this power, it will safely lower her down to two feet above the nearest solid surface.
• Fire Form: Sayf's body becomes almost-blinding white hot flame, allowing her to use herself as a human projectile and rendering a two-foot radius around herself hot enough to set anything solid that comes into it alight.
• Pyrokinesis: Sayf can sense, control and manipulate fires within a 50 foot radius around herself.
• Pyroteleportation: Sayf can teleport between sources of fire.
• Combustion: Sayf can set non-organic things she can see on fire with a few seconds of concentrated focus.
• Pyrokinetic Construction: Sayf can form melee weapons out of fire that last for as long as she holds them.

PERSONALITY: Sayf is a quiet, reserved person; not particularly shy, but rather exceedingly careful with what exactly she says to who owing to her upbringing. She's methodical, often to the point of ruthlessness and coming across as cold and uncaring in her desire to get ahead at any cost either to herself and/or others. Unflinching, fearless, and stoic, with a no-nonsense personality and easy to irritate, but hard to genuinely offend.

BIOGRAPHY: Sayf never knew her parents, never knew where she came from, and doesn't really care. She doesn't physically exist in UAE records prior to the age of seven, and her birth certificate doesn't exist. This isn't exactly a problem, however, given that her powers have seemingly always been there, and so she became a ward of the Emir of Dubai.

After all, it isn't good to let homeless people have powers.

Despite this, Sayf's life was far from luxurious; she was a ward, not adopted, and only a ward because she had powers and was therefore always destined for heroism. She grew up with an endless series of classes, learning to fight, to control and use her powers, the exact letter of the law, how to act, how to speak to the media... Everything she might need for a future career as a hero. Failure was punished harshly and brutally; success above what was expected, lavishly rewarded. She never knew any different, her few friends growing up were other members of the same program, isolated from the rest of the world, the idea being to raise a team together from childhood to replace the then failing Dubai Dragons.

Sayf and her supposedly 'organic' team of 'childhood friends' were revealed to the public when she was sixteen. With the media machine behind them and everything carefully choreographed, Sayf's team became superstars almost overnight, the failing team they were replacing one by one retiring with large paychecks or moving off to other teams. Sayf was never the main focus of her team; a powerhouse in combat, but she lacked the easy charisma or sense for people that her fellow teammates had, and slowly grew to resent them for this as she was slowly sidelined until, eventually, she was simply... Sent elsewhere to make way for new blood on the team.

And so she announced her transfer to Generation Next, which although delayed owing to having to deal with a minor regional crisis after a metahuman terrorist attacked an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf, eventually she was reluctantly on her way, if finally free for once... And having no idea what to do with it.

POWERS: Rosalie just seems to understand machines, even if she doesn't know what, she knows when something is wrong. When working on them, she instinctively knows the best way to put pieces together, and how they work together. What she doesn't get is why they work together (her studies do that), or how to break something. More complex machines take longer to get a feel for unless she focuses on specific subsystems.

Secondarily, or perhaps in other circles, primarily, Rosalie is a living generator. Her body can generate ludicrous amounts of electricity, more than enough to power an average home and then some. Unfortunately, she can't really project most of this. Within about fifteen feet she can throw bolts that are lethal to your average human, beyond that it fades rapidly, dropping to a taser at 16-20ft, high pain from 20-25, and just an unpleasant shock from 25-30. Touching her unprotected however can fry almost anyone, assuming she hasn't exhausted herself. Her exact output is unknown, and varies depending on diet and rest, but at minimum she is able to throw electrical currents strong enough to kill most humans, though she can't control outside sources. Secondarily she is practically if not totally immune to electrical currents, as proven when a lightning bolt struck her during high power usage during a storm, recharging her, though this apparently exceeded her storage capacity as most of that energy was randomly discharged around her.


EQUIPMENT: Cybernetic arm (With spares) built to match her metahuman abilities, and of particular pride to Rosalie, her energy generation. Integrated into the arm is an inbuilt reusable taser launcher, as the wires are more efficient than air for conducting energy, as well as a small storage space where she keeps a .22 snubnose revolver. Day to day she carries a combat knife, a .44 Magnum, and a portable tool kit, some of which can be stored in her arm if needed. She is trained in the use of rifles, but owns none of her own. Her arm typically has a synth-skin cover to hide it's cybernetic nature.

PERSONALITY: Rosalie is singleminded, asocial, and a workaholic. Buried underneath it all she's loyal, and steadfast to her friends, but it's hard for many to notice. Rosalie will spend not inconsiderate amount of time obsessing over small details, though when given a deadline she rarely exceeds her allotted time, focusing on the critical work first. A tinkerer, much of her spare time not spent working is still spent with machines. She is unexposed to many pastimes, though she does indulge in weed and alcohol to soothe her nerves.

BIOGRAPHY: Money, fancy education, luxuries galore, and all the baggage that comes with them. This is what Rosalie was born into, second child of five, and the smartest of the bunch. She had high expectations put on her, and at first, she lived up to them. She excelled in her classes, was a hard working, and active student. Still, she never made the connections her parents were hoping for. The town was a melting pot of old money, and new silicon valley types, and forging alliances, and connections between them were essential, especially to her mother who had hoped that her daughter would follow her into the tech industry. These hopes were thought shattered when, at the age of four, a car crash forced the amputation of Rosalie's arm at the shoulder. Cybernetics eventually caught up, and while they went through many because they would mysteriously burn out, the hope for Rosalie's future was restored. In her mother's eyes anyway.

That was, until her powers seemingly emerged at the young age of six. She had always been good with machines, but when she was six, she started being able to just...put them together without knowing why. The pieces just fit together that way, she had to work to figure out why. Her parents thought she had just found her calling, until one day she accidentally electrocuted one of them. Not badly, just a little zap, but it scared them. She was hushed away to a private school, where she continued to delve into machines, gravitating more and more to robotics.

Once she was out of high school, she delved into her interests, and started by building herself a cybernetic arm to replace the one she had lost. It took a year of work, every ounce of Rosalie's savings, and then some, but she finally designed an arm that would withstand the stress of her powers. From there she started taking odd jobs abroad, working for one team or another on a single project before moving on with her whims. In time she found herself bouncing between China, Russia, and Japan working on different projects, where her life remained in constant motion between them. At least, until she was given the offer of a lifetime.

2.) Martyr-(Not yet discovered) Once activated the spectral form of Saint Luke will appear and apparently draw in gold strands from wounded persons. After collecting these strands the specter will go back into Joan's body transferring the wounds of up to five people into her.

PERSONALITY: Naive to the world of superheroes Joan is largely laid back and relaxed for the most part seeing it more so as a way to gain extra income as a side job with her being a doctor being her main focus.

BIOGRAPHY: Born in 1999 to a second-gen Marine Biologist Joan activated her power in a somewhat normal manner by attempting to heal one of her pets through desperate need. Upon hearing of his daughter's power her father, a Japanse-American by the name of Joseph Jolion unlike others told her to keep a secret. According to Joan, it was the only time she had ever seen her father scared. Later when asked about it Joseph only looked at an old picture from his "trip to Egypt." From then on Joan would keep her powers a secret until she turned 17 when she was offered to work for the critical care unit for a meta hospital who would also pay her as well as teach her to become an actual Doctor. Quietly leaving home one night Joan left a note to her father apologizing for her absence before moving into the hospital's dorms. After working there for four years Joan would work out of the hospital using her powers to heal the constant accidents and drug overdoses that would flood the meta hospital before joining NEXT.

POWERS: Kane is what could be called super intelligent. His mind works extremely fast with the ability to make extremely complex calculations that peak human geniuses would struggle with using calculators and computers to help. He is capable of recognising very complex patterns that the normal human mind would disregard as jumbled, random, unconnected chaos while at the same time being able to recognise false patterns and disregard them. He's an inhumanly fast thinker and is able to improvise and plan in an instant. On top of this he is also very mechanically minded and highly practical, allowing him to manifest his thoughts as inventions and new theories.

This comes at a price however and Kane needs to consume up to 9000 calories a day, three times as much as an average adult human. His metabolism is much higher to keep up with this demand meaning as a side effect, his core body temperature is higher. He overheats easily though is comfortable in temperatures that would normally be potentially hazardous to people with normal metabolisms. Also due to his metabolism is the fact he gets drunk really quickly and sobers up extremely quickly, as well as meaning he will starve to death a lot faster than anyone else.

While these aren't powers and more skills, Kane is a competent hand to hand combatant, decent marksman and trapper and a fantastic survivalist.

EQUIPMENT: Kane has a large arsenal of custom build weaponry and equipment that he'll select from as well as traps and other items. These include: Snub Nosed BFR Revolver (.450 Marlin), Bren Ten (10mm Auto), Mauser C96 (7.63mm), Mossberg 930 Custom /w 30 inch barrel (12 Gauge), HCAR Custom /w 400 RPM automatic (.30-06 Springfield), M32 MGL (40mm Grenade), Remington 700 (.458 Win Mag) and his prize custom Holland & Holland Phillippe Grifnee double rifle with a 32 inch barrel (.700 Nitro Express). On top of this, Kane also has a survival knife, machete, several types of custom tool grenades, some of exotic nature and various traps. Kane typically wears a plate carrier with level 3 AR500 steel plates along with clothing that allows him to stay hidden. He carries a first aid kit containing his various stims and medicine of his own making as well as more common medical items.

Kane also carries numerous forms of specialist and exotic ammunition, especially for the Mossberg, M32 and Double Rifle. Along with some C4 in case the smarter and more precise methods don't work.

PERSONALITY: : Kane is known for being foul mouthed and a smart ass. He's also known for being a giant asshole. He doesn't take most situations seriously, loves to push peoples buttons with childish and cruel jokes and thoroughly enjoys banter and will always love it when people start making the same kinds of jokes towards him. Name calling and taunting are some of the things he's near enough mastered being able to drum them out at a staggering rate that can take one back a bit. He's also materialistic and likely won't do anything for anyone unless he's getting something out of it. He does however know when to be polite when needed and despite his massive personality flaws he's got a strong sense of right and wrong and will call people out for going overboard with a joke, being a bully or being an unironic dick. Kane also likes his technobabble, which he is also able to use as an insult.

BIOGRAPHY: Born in Rotherham in England to self made and well off parents, Kane was never without. Despite going to private school, going pheasant shooting and even big game shooting in Africa which would be associated with toffs, Kane and his family were very salt of the earth Yorkshire folk who spent their weekends at the pub and going to dog races. As Kane came of age he got more into the partying and raving scene where he ended up spending more time out in Rotherham, Barnsly, Doncaster and Sheffield town centre. It was at 18 years of age when his power manifested after a bar fight resulted in him being hit over the head with a pint glass. The actual damage was minimal though he was knocked out and went to hospital, where he awoke hours later with a head ache and ravenous hunger. He noticed he was thinking more clearly and absorbing information so much easier and to top it off, he actually understood.

Kane left his partying days behind mostly and dove into University, studying as much as he could to feed his new found power. A year of study later at 19 years old and he left university, having come out smarter than everyone there. Taking an interest in tinkering, he began on his path to becoming the master inventor of today. However when his parents house was raided by a gang of the local smack heads, despite everyone knowing who it was but the police unable to do anything, Kane took things into his own hands. He used everything he learned as a hunter as well as all the knowledge and skills he picked up over the years to find one of them and give them a severe beat down, only to be jumped by his friends the next day. Kane and his friends along with the drug addict thugs went back and fourth in tit for tat assaults against each other till Kane one day decided to take them down permanently, setting them up for a crime and trapping them for the police to find.

Kane went on after that to hunt other local scum bags, bringing them to heel with ever more ingenious and ever more brutal ways while remaining mostly unseen. The Police called his actions against these people "overkill" and as such the name stuck. It wasn't long after till Kane had to flee the country after he upset someone with some very big friends. He found himself in the US, using his skills to bring down the worst criminals and minor villains hiding out in the rural areas before he was picked up by Team Infinity for their Generation NEXT project. His hunting, tracking and technical knowledge would be seen as an asset for the future.

While characters don't have to be necessarily "good" in the traditional sense of the word, it's best if they refrain from being outright villains.
