Character DescriptionName:Marshall Rowes
Gender:Male
Age:17
Appearance:
Strengths and WeaknessesSkills: Adults seem to like him, as he is "mature for his age”, but mostly only around people he cares about making an impression on. Is generally known as funny. Can write decently well and has a pretty solid history knowledge.
Weaknesses: Depressive and Hyperactive, Anxiety along with both.
Phase One Power: Can’t you hear it?? Why is it there?? Help??! Please… Marshall can hear...music?? Classical music in his head at all times, growing louder as his emotions increase. If he focuses on one person enough, he can make them hear the music too, even rather loudly. He has no control over whether he himself hears the music and is subjected to it at random volumes at random times.
Phase Two Powers: Marshall has a hang on projecting the music onto one other person, potentially even bringing them to the floor with the splittingly loud sound of it. He can also make small crowds of people hear it if he focuses very hard, though the volume won't be nearly as loud. He can control the volume of the music for himself, but not when it plays.
Phase Three Powers: Marshall can deafen crowds of people with the music, and can make one person's head nearly split (NOT literally) with music. He can control when he wants to hear the music, how loud it will be, and even specific songs if he desires.
Background:
Personality: Gregarious and friendly, somewhat nihilistic when he’s particularly upset. Wears his heart on his sleeve and is very emotionally needy, creating bonds with people very easily and desiring emotional connections.
Backstory:Marshall wanted to be…well, needed to be special. What’s the point of it all, everything, if you don’t change anything? If you aren’t remembered? His father tried to tell him it didn’t matter what other people thought of you as long as you were enjoying your life. Yet Marshall couldn’t enjoy it if people didn’t enjoy him. He needed to be different, in a good way, so he could be remembered. Marshall's father moved them to Prefeton 12 months ago to get inspiration for his upcoming symphony, he was a composer after all and if he did not compose, he wouldn’t be a composer, would he? Marshall disliked this, seeing nothing interesting on the island, and seeing no opportunity for himself there either. Besides, how was he to fit in with only senior year to go? Marshall thought the move was pointless, his father should've just let him finish off the rest of high school back home in New Mexico. Up until now, sitting in his empty room he had no idea how he would go about being different. All of this will change however, as sitting in his bedroom, alone one evening he hears something familiar, classical music. “Isn’t dad asleep?”
