Doubt any citizens would be in Pyongyang to begin with. Most of them likely on the border between North and South Korea.

Usually the people who go into North Korea are only allowed in Pyongyang I thought?

If you look at a map. Pyongyang is rather deep. Only a handful of people are allowed inside anyways and most seem to hug the border.

I think only Chinese tourists are allowed any deeper into North Korea.

Also I think Americans been banned from going into NK in the first place back in 2017.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaesong

Kaesong is closer and a major destination. So most people just have to run over into South Korea.

Also this will likely be the place where the more pro-democracy faction (controlled by me) will rise from.

So hope that an ally gets attacked while bringing Tomahawk cruise missiles onto Japanese DDGs. Sounds doable.

Nobody is running across the DMZ unless they want to be blown into pieces by the mines.

I could start evacuations of foreign civilians via helicopter, if they wouldn't be shot out of the sky every time they flew over.

I think at this point, the scattered Army Units that are around have a mentality of 'shoot anything not us' - including fellow civilians and comrades.

I might still go for it, depending on NK SAM quality.

Assuming the massive chaos and all - I am pretty sure, most of the border guards have high-tailed it out of there. Either due to no-orders, seeing their Supreme Leader killed and 'rushing to his aid'. Or likely jumped the border.

So, likely the DMZ has operational only the automated systems - which may or may not even exist or be at 'Atari-level' and the lonely idiot left behind to 'keep security'.

Shortly a UNSC Thread should be up and there the UNSC members plus relevant nations can discuss NK.

Anyone not on the UNSC in 2020 will be asked to join by the US Ambassador once the thread is up so you'll be able to be there as Japan to voice your concerns etc just not vote unless Japan is on the council at this time.

Unlike the UNGA thread, IC chatter between representatives will be allowed in the UNSC thread. It's just that the UNGA thread would be overwhelmingly spammed if we allowed chatter in there.
