At what stage would you like negotiations to be at? What was offered for our military aid?

I guess it depends what kind of military aid is being offered and what the Giants would be interested. Orias has a lot of trading contracts and connections that could be very useful economically but am not sure how interested the giants would be.

So, I feel like someone should play as a Tor noble or military captain, seeing as Tor is arguably the most important faction right now. May I make an app to that effect? Also, should I make an individual nation app for Tor? It was already covered under Termain.
I use my NationStates stats, because a population of billions/trillions and an economy of hundreds of trillions is totally viable, trust me.
But seriously, aside from the population and GDP, just assume that my NS stats are roughly accurate.

Against: Stupid people, resistance to industrial progress, alt-right, any form of government at or beyond socialism.

I have been giving thought to that. I was originally intending for Tor to remain kind of NPC enemy type for my chars but if theres a lot of outside interest in interacting with them I think I might make an app to flesh them out a bit. I wouldn't mind if you apped a noble or knight though.

Yeah, I think I'm going to make a noble. It'd require the Leader app, which would require the player to be 12-18, but I think I found a way to make it work.

Thank you for allowing me to do so!

No problem I'll probably try to get an app up tomorrow or tonight myself so you could either way until then or we can just make sure everything makes sense afterwards.

So what role exactly would you want my theoretical noble to play? He would likely be less experienced (assuming the age limit is a hard one). I have specific plans for my character, and I wanted to put him in some aspect of leadership to do so.

I suppose that's up to you. I'll probably app the leader of the Tor faction for simplicity's sake and so I can better control the course of the conflict, but anything below that should be fine. Could even by a rival noble if you'd like.

Monarch app
Name: Agostin Tonac
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Race/Species: Human
Personality: Agostin is a fierce and prideful young man. He is a strong nationalist and a proud Torian. He is prone to anger but has proven incredibly charismatic and persuasive. He is often thought of as not just the leader of the rebellion but its heart as well. He is traditional and conservative in many ways, particular when questions of magic are raised. He is often seen as harsh and even cruel in some people's eyes, but few question his resolve as a warrior.
Sexual/Romantic preference (optional):
Appearance: Agostin
Bio: Agostin was born the son of Lord Tyrell of Tor. Tyrell was a strong and well respected leader who was beloved by his people. Agostin grew up adoring his father, aspiring to be a leader just like him. Throughout Agostin's childhood Tyrell quarreled with the southern provinces, and instilled in his son a fierce hatred for their southern brethren. Agostin was given a proper education but he was far more interested in being a warrior. By age seven it was impossible to keep him out of the training yard and by age fourteen he was granted the rank of knight. As King Oda grew closer to death, Tyrell was seen as the clear choice of the North to be his successor. However, after years of repressive policies their was a riot among mages in the province of Tor. Violence broke out and in trying to quell it, Lord Tyrell was killed. His father's death shook Agostin to his core and he was filled a renowned sense of anger and hatred. When the king finally died Agostin was chosen to replace Tyrell in the election and he proved to be somewhat of a fiery and extreme candidate. He called for the closure of all magic academies and for the instillation of a Torian dynasty on the throne. In a close vote he lost, and so Agostin declared himself the king of Termain regardless and for three months now has been leading his people to war. He has since then tried to soften his policies at behest of his advisers but he does so only reluctantly.
Goals: To reunite Termain under Torian rule, restore traditional values, outlaw magic
Likes: Honor, Tor, Tradition, comradery among soldiers
Dislikes: Orias, Mages, politics
Theme Song:
Powers/Abilities: Skilled Swordsman, Archer, and Horseback Rider

Monarch app
Name: Katri Olmstead
Age (between 12 and 18): 18
Gender: Female
Race/Species: Void Elf
Personality: Calm and collected on the outside, but on the inside she is full of self doubt and fears letting her country down. She becomes more arrogant when using magic, often mocking and toying with her opponents..
Sexual/Romantic preference (optional): Prefers women, but open to men.
Appearance:
Image

Bio:
Katri was the fourth child of the previous king of Pnakotus, and as such, she never thought she would get the throne. Her two older brothers had much more experience with governing and her older sister was a genius mage. Unfortunately, her family experienced a series of tragedies leaving her as the heir to the throne. Her eldest brother died after being thrown off a cliff by a sudden storm. Her older sister died when one of her spells destabilized and ripped her from reality. Her other older brother died fighting the last major invasion of Pnakotus from the mainland. Finally, her father, King Albes went insane from grief and had to be removed from the throne after trying to declare war on the entire world. Katri was quickly crowned as queen, but the sudden rise to power still has not fully registered with her. Her education regarding governing is still incomplete, but she manages to garner respect with her massive magical prowess, especially among the magic worshipping nobility.
Goals: Defend Pnakotus from foreign invaders, expand trade with the outside world, keep the kingdom in one piece and maybe even expand it.
Likes: Fruits, cats, cool water, the clinking sound made by gold coins.
Dislikes: The constant stress of people's expectations, rats, flies, off-key singing.
Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgH23pGZHA4
Powers/Abilities: Anti-magic, nightvision, farsight, teleportation, summoning.

Kingdom App:
Name: The Free Kingdom of Pnakotus
History (doesn’t have to be long):
The Kingdom of Pnakotus was formed from the union of two peoples a thousand years ago. The frost elves originally lived in the snow covered north, but years of raids and invasions by other people's eventually forced them to start fleeing from their homes or face enslavement and death. The first refugee fleet was low on supplies, with morale fading fast, when a mage named Ikard Olmstead saw a vision of a great divine eye floating on the horizon. He easily convinced the weary elves that salvation lay under the divine eye and the elves soon landed at the island of Vynia. Seeing the lush trees and colorful wildlife, the elves rejoiced and began to create their new home. The frost elves faced many hardships, such as disease, poison, and heatstroke, but they persevered and the walls of their new city were completed by the end of the month. While the walls gave them safety from the local wildlife, it attracted another danger. The native tropic elves soon noticed the new city appearing out of nowhere and where troubled by the strange, pale inhabitants. Some of the native elves fearing the newcomers were demons and began raiding the frost elves city. Ikard wasn't about to let his people be driven away again, and hatched a plan to pacify the native elves with a great display of power. The tropic elves who hated their new neighbors had aligned under a warrior chief named Talgrod and had prepared to make one final attack to destroy the frost elves. With his massive army behind him, Talgrod marched on the walls of the city to lay siege to it, but before he could reach it a massive rainstorm appeared out of nowhere. He and his army soon were filled with horror when they realized it was not water falling from the sky, but blood. Above them a massive rift had opened, and a massive eye peered through it. A great light shone from it and Talgrod and his army soon melted into nothingness. Terrified by the ocular obliteration, the other jungle elves sent emissaries to the frost elves to beg for mercy. With his people's new homeland made safe again, Ikard married a native tropical elf to further cement the peace and unify the two peoples. Afterwards, four more refugee frost elf fleets arrived at the islands, guided by the first pilgrims. After many years of interbreeding, the two elf races merged into one, the void elves. In more recent times, the nation has become a great naval and merchant power in the western seas. Many times, forces from the mainland have tried to invade Pnakotus, but its strong navy and devastating storms have destroyed all the invaders fleets. The previous king's insanity has strained diplomatic and trade relations with the mainland, but the new queen hopes to rebuild trust and create new prosperous trade routes.

Current leader: Katri Olmstead
Government Type (monarchy, republic, etc): Hereditary Absolute Monarchy. Each prior ruler chooses a heir from their children, usually the one with the strongest magic power.
Religion: The cult of Heltralia is the main, state sanctioned religion. Heltralianism is the worship of the great guiding eye, the led the Void Elves to their new homeland. Heltralia is considered to be one of the many Elder Gods that have existed before the birth of the world, but is one of the few who cares to interact with mortals. When the frost elves were forced to flee their homelands, their leader, Ikard Olmstead, saw a vision of a giant eye appear before him. It guided him to their new home, the islands of Pnakotus. Ever since then they have worshipped Heltralia and have built a temple to it on every island. While the royal family is seen as a holy figure, the religious head is a different person. The head priest/priestess is blessed with divine eyes that allow them to see the past, present, and the many possible futures, albeit only small portions closeby. The eye is considered sacred and is always carefully removed from corpses and sacrificed at the nearest temple. Other religions are somewhat tolerated among the commoners, but for nobles it is a social death sentence.
Population: 1,120,000
Imports: Wood, grains, copper, silver, livestock.
Exports: Iron, gems, fish, fruit, gold, spices.
Stance on magic: Highly valued. Those with magic are immediately granted a minor noble title and a small stipend.
Geography: A group of islands off the western coast of Paralia. The largest island containing fifty percent of the kingdom's land mass is the island of Dterno. Dterno is covered with sporadic mountains and lush jungles. The second largest island with thirty percent of the nation's landmass and the one containing the capitol is Vynia. The northern tip of Vynia is comprised of a massive dead volcano with jungles covering the southern half. Most of the other islands are either small volcanic islands or coral atolls, with a few jungle covered islands as well.
Culture (status of women, traditions/customs, marriage, etc):

Military forces, essentially. Troops. Perhaps the payment would be the destruction of the Red God Forsen's supremacy in Tor through a gradual manner (Placing of other temples, maybe, in that territory) and an alliance.

We aren't asking for that much. It's a long term replacement, not an instantaneous religious slaughter. Would two battalions, 1,000 total, be acceptable?

Monarch app
Name: Trigo, of House Harland
Age (between 12 and 18): 18
Gender: Male
Race/Species: Human
Personality: Very timid. Wound up beyond what most can bear. A family man, as best he can. (Personality expected to change drastically as the RP continues)
Sexual/Romantic preference (optional): Heterosexual
Appearance: Image
Bio: Trigo was born in winter. He was the last child, after four sisters. His father desperately wanted a son to carry on the family line, and he had it. Now that Trigo was expected, arguably prophesied, to live a long live, the father did his best to prepare a bright future for his boy. Just a few short months after Trigo's birth, Ragna, of House Skelty, was born. The father immediately secured a marriage with House Skelty in the attempt to provide his son with additional land and titles. He brought the world's finest tutors and hunters to train him. He lavished him with all the pomp that a Torian noble could bestow upon a son.

And whenever he would ask his father why all this was given to him, freely, his father would always say: "Son, when you become a man, you will see what I see. And then, then, son, everything will make sense."

Trigo garnered a lot of hatred from each of his four sisters. Why should he get all the attention, and not they? The only occasions in which they would interact with him were to ask a favor which they would never return, or to settle a petty dispute when a tie wouldn't work. He knew he was being used, but he still appreciated the company. He would play the role of scapegoat. His mother knew the true culprit behind Trigo's isolation, but that didn't stop her from poisoning the son to spite the father. Trigo forgave her, but he couldn't close the rift that split his family apart. He addressed his mother as "that hag" around his father; his father, "the brute" around his mother. He loved them both, truly, and he mourned when his mother was executed.

His friendship outside the family originated from inside the family. His father networked to bring about . Friends like Agostin, the heir to the throne. Nobles who kept him outside their inner circles. Even pets were forbidden from him, out of the chance that one would become rabid. He grew to enjoy solitude.

Still, everything would make sense. He knew that this would all be worth the trouble in the end. He made certain of it. He studied strategy, literature and mathematics, the finest minds in the world at his reach. He was not naturally strong, but he trained in weaker martial arts to mastery, particularly over the pike and axe. Trigo didn't find Ragna pretty, but he did his best to love her. He tried and tried, with all his might, until one day she was more beautiful than the supposed goddess of love!

She didn't return the favor. She viewed their union as simply a marriage of convenience. While she remained loyal, their betrothal and marriage had no passion. His list of true allies at its thinnest, he told his father news of interest: that a grandchild was on the way. The father put his hand on his son. "Stay, then. Look after your wife. When I return from war, I will show you everything I know." At last, the pieces would fall into place.

His father, however, did not survive the battle with Orias. Trigo was alone in the world. He would carry on his father's legacy: alone, fighting a war he could not win, likely with his head at the end of a pike. Perhaps everything would make sense then.

Goals: Survive. Form friendships and true love. Protect the family and the family name.
Likes: Meditation, philosophy, combat.
Dislikes: Lavishness, pompousness, social circles.
Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne8cuImwBC4
Powers/Abilities: No magical ability. Skill with axes and polearms.

Still, even the goal of replacement would be hard to swallow. But I suppose they would be okay with building a temple of the giant's choice in the North. And sure 1,000 sounds fine.

I have decided to make Uodalrich, the de facto leader of Marseille, a citizen of Termain (Tor). I always intended for him to be a foreigner (hence the name) from somewhere to the north of Marseille and it just struck me as silly to invent an NPC country just to make it his homeland when he could just be from Termain. His rival Audawakar will either be another Torian or maybe a Sturian, I haven't quite decided yet.

I've decided to retcon the Orc Emperor's honour-name to be "Strong-Iron", instead of "Strong-Wood", as with the benefit of hindsight I've realized the latter name sounds like an innuendo.

After some reflection, I have decided that my app is pretty mediocre. So I am planning to make a new one. Is anyone interested in a kingdom of the undead? Or maybe a knightly order of zombies? I haven't seen any such apps yet.
