Name: Rhomm "Soultearer"
Age: 27
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Bio:
Rhomm was born to a wealthy family somewhere in the Kingdom of Atral. His father, a soldier, died when he was a child, leaving him to live with his mother and his younger sister, Ariana. Before he was out of his teens, his mother died of a curse, and in his early 20s, Ariana suffered a similar fate. Some time after the loss of his family, rumours began to swirl of a vigilante known as the Soultearer, a witch who destroyed the souls of his targets.
Two years ago, though, things changed. Rhomm found a young girl by the name of Lucina in a pit fighting ring, and in her he saw something. Taking pity on the girl suffering from a terrible curse, he spent every last coin of his considerable inheritance to buy her from the pits. The two became fast friends and wandered all across Anoris for a year, trying to find some way to control or even break Lucina's curse.
Rhomm had been on the radar of the Nameless Prestige for some time, but now that the Soultearer was travelling with a girl who could become a wyvern? The opportunity was simply too great to pass up, and Sharpe recruited the two. They have been with the Prestige for a year by this point, their unique abilities making them incredibly powerful, if situational, assets. Rhomm hopes that his work with the Prestige will help him to increase his own abilities to the point of being able to finally break Lucina's curse.
Appearance: 6'0", 150 lbs(Image)
Magic Technique: Witch
Magic:
- Soul Tearing - Enaid (Soul), Gwrthdaro (Conflict) and Cynnig (Motion). The manipulation of souls is incredibly powerful, allowing a great many possibilities. However, a soul must be freely available if it is to be altered in any form, at least for a witch of Rhomm's power. In order to use any of his other soulspells, Rhomm must first tear the target's soul away from them. This process requires time relative to the soul's power in addition to uninterrupted concentration. Furthermore, souls can naturally resist being torn away from their bodies, and in truly disastrous cases, can pull back with enough strength to tear away Rhomm's soul. A soul successfully torn away will slowly decay unless it is allowed to return to its body, at which point it will begin a slow process of recovery. Any soul that has been torn before becomes exponentially more resilient to further attempts.
- Soul Shredding - Enaid (Soul), Gwrthdaro (Conflict), and Dranc (Death). Shredding a soul is a complicated business, though there is perhaps no more complete form of death. Shredding a soul does not simply require immense concentration and a significant amount of time dependent on the power of the soul in question, it also requires the soul to be freely accessed. Therefore, shredding a soul can typically only be attempted on an individual if their soul has already been torn away.
- Soul Fusion - Enaid (Soul), Creu (Creation) and Cynnig (Motion). Fusing souls is unpredictable at best. It could result in anything from a decaying soul being restored to a soul being effectively overcharged or even the creation of a single new soul, or potentially even stranger things. While the caster can try to trigger any of these effects, the results are incredibly difficult to predict. As such, soul fusion is best avoided, and really only a last resort unless it is being performed for (deeply unethical) research purposes. Naturally, it also requires both souls to be freely available, meaning that they must have already been torn away.
- Soul Transfer - Enaid(Soul), Cynnig (Motion) and Chyfnewid (Exchange). The transfer of souls is by far the most complex of the various soulspells Rhomm can perform. It requires an exchange, necessitating that a second soul be provided so that the first can enter its new container. Furthermore, it is the only one of his spells that require a willing soul, rather than simply requiring that it be freely available. Even if the soul is willing to enter a new container, the spell still requires a long and complex ritual that takes many hours in the case of a healthy soul, or several days if not weeks if the soul in question is decaying from having been torn for too long. Finally, even assuming that all of this is accomplished, there is still a chance that the soul could reject its new container in an extremely dangerous reaction, potentially tearing or even shredding the caster's soul.
- Curse Empowerment - Llygredd (Corruption), Hud (Magic Energy), and Gwenwyn (Poison). Empowering a curse increases the power of both positive and negative aspects of a curse. For example, a person cursed to transform into a powerful beast without any control over it would be a far more powerful beast, but have more difficulty regaining control. The effect is temporary, and the duration and power of the effect depends on the caster's familiarity with the specific curse being targeted.
- Curse Weakening - Llygredd (Corruption), Hud (Magic Energy), and Iachad (Healing). Weakening a curse reduces the power of both positive and negative aspects of a curse. For example, a person cursed to transform into a powerful beast without any control over it would be a far weaker beast, but more easily regain control. The effect is temporary, and the duration and power of the effect depends on the caster's familiarity with the specific curse being targeted. This effect cannot "cure" or otherwise remove curses.

RP Sample: You know me, but in case you forgot...Unconsciously, Walker touches his right arm, brushing his fingers down the metal where once his arm was tattooed with his heathen god.
Fire. The word was once his power, his strength and his defence against the terrors of the night...
Control. Never his strong suit...
Balance. A small smile crept across his lips as he thought of the one he most cared for...
Blood. Walker had spent his life bleeding for causes, for gods. Now he bled only for one person, and yet he wouldn't change that...
Fury. Not much needed to be said there...
Walker stepped up to one pillar. His one remaining arm trembling, he raised his unnaturally steady right hand and touched the metallic fingers to the text, barely feeling the stone through the cold steel.
"Fire," whispered the Goliath in a voice much too small for his terrifyingly powerful frame.
Did you read the Rules? There were rules?
