A lot of the books got slapped down when Disney took over, same with the Old Republic MMO info on Chiss. As for Clone Wars they might have been Pantoran or some other variant.

Also, can I just say that the name isn't very Chiss? Had to point it out. You can also link stuff without just pasting the link.

I am aware hehe, but I don't see any issues with your legends stuff as none of it directly contradicts any established canon.

Hell, Munto Codru has found it's way to being listed as a canon planet which pretty much implies the canon existence of the Codru-ji, while your equipment and droids are all equally plausible without detracting from canon.

Personally, I do not see canon and legends as being totally incompatible with one another, merely that canon should take priority over legends if there are any direct contradictions or discrepancies, such as with the status of the Chiss; who are now canonically unknown to the galaxy during the time of the CIone Wars.

I am happy to include certain legends aspects in the RP if they add to the canon universe without taking anything away, and I see this as the case with the legends materials you wish to draw upon.

Thank you! Just wanted to make certain everything was good. Nothing more annoying than accidentally ambushing an OP with information that was present in the app or the fallout that comes after. Should be noted that my droids have been somewhat modified with the removal of their nonlethal preferences.

By the way, what's the population count for the station? Has Nat gotten news on Immils's operation?

Absolutely - from an OP perspective I'm glad you have clarified that you understand the differences as well!

With regards to population, I'm still finalising numbers for the permanent inhabitants but it's only a small station. There'll be mechanics, some bar staff, security and then your people. We're looking at 10s not 100s.

I imagine with many other stores having left with the fuel cutoff that this number will rise as we get underway and stores start opening again. One of the people who I've been talking to is toying with the idea of having a travel agency store on the station and I'm open to anyone else who wishes to join in this early stage who wants to be a permanent resident.

The vast majority of people on the station will be travelling pilots and freighter crews passing through for varying lengths of time.

Star Wars: The Station - Character RP - OPEN (OOC/Sign-ups)

Postby Rylothi » Fri Nov 22, 2019 3:52 pm

Name: Sintilha Joxia (alias)
Age: 22
Species: Twi'lek
Appearance: Green and slightly shimmering skin with intense purple eyes. A slender build typical of
her species and wearing practical black travellers clothing.
Gender: Female

Profession: Dancer/Con Woman
Equipment/Weapons: blaster, comm link, vibroknife, security spikes, computer spikes
Pets/Droids/Companions: She is alone

How you got to Orondia: She snuck in on a freighter ship when they stopped to refuel.
Reason for travel to Orondia: Only there due to her need to escape. Looking for information
regarding her 'business' partner. However, with little resources with her might need to stay
while figuring out her next move.

Bio:
Growing up on her home planet Ryloth, her initial years were typical for girls of her kind. When her parents became heavily involved fighting against the slavers, they succumbed to their deaths resulting in her and her older sister Iruna being taken as slaves. Luckily, they were sold together, and traded together most of the time due to their striking similarities in appearance. Just shy of turning 16, when Iruna saw means for their escape, they took the chance. However, during their attempt Iruna did not make it, sacrificing herself in order for Sintilha to survive.

Whilst mourning the loss of her sister, and stuck on an unknown planet, she started pickpocketing to survive. She struggled to trust anyone keeping, but during her time she entangled herself with a charming human male called Ulos. Together they became a double act, stealing and conning their way across the outer rims. He taught her many things, including helping her to lose her bad native accent when speaking galactic basic, which can still come out when speaking with certain species. Their schemes were mainly small, including infiltrating local crime gangs, selling stolen goods and occasionally degrading herself working as an exotic dancer in clubs where Ulos could make his mark.
With their most recent scheme, Ulos got greedy pushing the con to above their normal limits. After gaining traction with the local gang they had intercepted, Ulos got wind of small but important shipment. Unusual for him he was being sketchy with the details, so she didn't know exactly know what they were intercepting though having trusted him for the past few years she went along as usual (still not knowing that it involved an important shipment intended for the Hutts). Her only details were to remain hidden on the freighter, until further instruction from Ulos. Whilst waiting for the next part of the plan to go ahead, Ulos's cover was blown and he was taken away. Managing to continue hiding, she got off at when the freighter shortly refueled on the planet Orondia, and she left undetected.

So here she is, without any knowledge of what happened to Ulos. Hoping that he is ok, but also unsure of his commitment to her, as she begins to try and get some information and figure out what to do next.

RP Example:

Hiding she kept her eyes above at the door Ulos told her to watch. It was not easy sneaking her in. Usually she is up front with Ulos, but they have never done such a large job before. Being his ‘woman’ would not cut it this time. He had gone towards the bridge, consorting with the pilot/crew of the freighter. He said he would come back with an update for their next move. She continues to wait.

Why did she not try and get more information from Ulos before she agreed to it? Why did he decide to go beyond their original job? The Luxor gang they had previously infiltrated were only dealing with some lower grade stolen tech, nothing that involved this big of an operation. And Ulos was being particularly quiet about this job, unusually so. She waits patiently, pondering what the score must be.

The sounds of boots echo in the hallway, heading towards where she is hiding. Tensing up she holds her breath and listens out, hoping for the usual signal that Ulos and her use.

It´s him.

Sounding slightly out of breath, he whispers quietly, “Come out, its safe for a minute. I jammed the cameras for this section of this ship. No one should notice.”

Cautiously, she steps out into the open hallway. “What’s going on?”
“I’m in with the crew. They let slip where the cargo is, but still working on how exactly to extract it.”
“What are we getting? You still haven’t told me! Don’t I need to know too?”
“It’s safer if you don’t. Just trust me.”
“I don’t like this.” This feels overly risky she thinks, but she gives him a slight grin. “But lucky for you I do.”
He lets out a slight chuckle in return before returning to a more serious disposition.
“I’ll make this quick, I need to get back before anyone gets too suspicious.”

He begins to explain the location of the score, and where she needs to wait before moving to the next spot where Ulos will hide the package.
“If I’m not allowed to know what it is, can I at least know how big is it then? After all I am the one to sneak it out.” She asks, trying to arm herself with at least some scraps of information. It was Ulos who taught her that you the more you know about the score, the simpler it is to steal.

“It is only small, don’t you worry.” He reassures her with his normal charming smile. But she notes that he is remaining evasive. Is it really to protect her? She snaps back into the present when Ulos quietly barks. “I’ve got to go; I’ll see you when we land. Remember, they are planning to refuel. We’ll sneak off then, the same way as before should be good still. I’ll come find you near the cantina.”

She watches him leave. Feeling just as uncomfortable, she tries to steady her mind reminding herself she’s never been burned by Ulos before. And she begins to head towards the next hiding spot, before the cameras come on again.

I know you worked hard on this from our separate conversation. Love the suspense built up in the RP example and can't wait to discover what has happened to Ulos or what he and Sintilha were up to on that freighter, which can be the first ship to arrive once the fuel is back on (it makes sense that the freighter crew would be tipped off that they can refuel at Orondia again given the involvement of the Hutts in Nat's backstory). If you'd like me to bring in any Hutt-aligned NPC characters to help answer the questions about Ulos let me know.

I have now set up the IC, but sign-ups remain open and I encourage anyone thinking about joining to do so, as it would be great to have a really diverse range of characters for this to live up to its full potential! All levels of RP experience welcome - you just need a basic knowledge of Star Wars as well!

Name: Alba Joostal
Age: 24
Species: Human
Appearance: Olive skin, a dash of freckles, and dark hair that carries a hint of red in the right light. Her hair is an untamed mass of curls, cut relatively short, and often held back with a scrap of material. Since her arrival in this remote outpost, she’s taken to wearing camo trousers, tatty old boots and an oversized, brown military-style jacket, along with a scarf occasionally pulled over her mouth to keep out the dust, like some kind of old-time explorer.
Gender: Female
Profession: Travel Agent
Equipment/Weapons: One rusty old blaster, that has been fired exactly once. By accident.
Pets/Droids/Companions: LEP-GT17 – An LEP Servant droid, re-purposed for Tourism. Issued by Galaxica to all representatives, and complete with colourful Galaxica Branding. Mostly good for note-taking, storing documents and photographs, translating, and providing useless facts about inane things that may - or may not - be of interest to tourists.
How you got to Orondia: Via a succession of transports, that gradually decreased in quality and comfort, much in line with Alba’s sinking expectations.
Reason for travel to Orondia: Alba signed up in a hurry for her first long-term solo assignment; she has been sent to Orondia as an official representative of the Galaxica Travel Agency. Her task is to compile a thorough Tourist Guide, establish links with local businesses to booster tourism infrastructure and potential, and start designing, selling and conducting one-day excursions and tours to some of the area’s highlights. Unfortunately those highlights are pretty rubbish.

Biography:

Born to a prosperous, middle-class family on Chandrilla, Alba had a happy, well-adjusted childhood, They lived on the outskirts of the capital, Hanna City, close enough to feel part of the action of the bustling, modern city, but a stone’s throw from grassy fields and picturesque lakes. Growing up with such freedom and lovely surroundings gave Alba a real appreciation for beautiful scenery, and enjoying nature. Not to mention taking long hikes and natural swimming.

As a low level civil servant, her father made occasional trips to Coruscant, but it wasn’t the sweets and presents he returned with that would get Alba excited. It was the stories. Both from the vast, urban jungle itself, and from the characters that her father came into contact with; all sorts of species from all over the galaxy. From Dustbowls to Water planets, Mountainous frozen wastelands to Endless Rainforests… Alba dreamt of seeing them all. The desire and urge to travel, and see as much of the galaxy as possible had set in.

By the time she finished school at 18, Alba wasn’t exactly sure what she wanted to do; she still wanted to travel but wasn’t sure how to achieve that, so she worked a series of menial office jobs, and started saving money. A few years later, she came across an advert for an internship at the Galaxica Travel Agency. A job that would allow her to travel all over the galaxy. Even better, the internship was on Coruscant. Alba didn’t hesitate to sign up.

That’s how, at the age of 21, Alba washed up on another planet for the first time in her life. The initial internship was one year; she then graduated onto a full training and career development programme that lasted another two years. But over those two years, things started to go wrong.

Senator Janus Chaim was the kind of man that some thought had a certain devilish charm, or at least they’d thought that when he was young. Now, it came off as slightly creepy. Alba wasn’t exactly expecting to run into Senators whilst working for a Travel Company, but people go on holiday to Coruscant too, and tours around the Galactic Senate are ever popular – even in wartime. So Alba was learning the ropes of the tour, when she became lost looking for the public toilet. Predictably, mainly due to a chronic lack of signs, she wandered into a Senator’s office. And of course, it had to be Janus Chaim. Hasty apologies and an awkward conversation; he was friendly enough, jovial even. She might have found him friendly if it wasn’t for the intense look in his eyes.

They had a couple more run-ins; completely accidental, of course. But he seemed a little too eager to talk to her. He always stood a little too close. One time, she could have sworn she caught him sniffing her.

Meanwhile, Alba threw herself into her job, figuring the sooner she learnt the trade, the sooner she could get another posting – somewhere with natural beauty and fewer politicians. But then she started to hear rumours, and whispered conversations. About people working for Galaxica who’d been posted a little too close to active warzones. Almost as if they weren’t sent there for touristic purposes, but for slightly more nefarious reasons. Alba decided not to give such gossip the time of day; there was no way her beloved company could be up to no good, especially not anything involving the war. Or for that matter, the Separatists. But then she got cornered by Janus Chaim again. This time, he was more blunt: he knew something dodgy was up with Galaxica. Misplaced funds, lost Agents, leaked information. But Janus said he could help, if she told him what she knew. If she spied for him, he could give her favours.

Alba had no love for the Separatists, but she didn’t know anything more than the faintest traces of rumour. And besides, she really didn’t like the sound of those favours. The last thing she needed was for this creepy old man to have a hold on her (either figuratively or literally). Even if he was working for the “right” side.

Alba needed to figure out a way to get off Coruscant; every few months there were opportunities to take assignments and postings to other planets. Alba decided she’d sign up when the next opportunity came around. But then she started to feel eyes on her when she went to give tours of the Senate. She could have sworn important Senators from far off worlds (who shouldn’t have so much as recognised her face) leaned in and whispered when she went passed. She started to feel watched.

And then one of her friends that she shared an apartment with lost her temper and demanded to know why serious looking officials were asking lots of questions about Alba. About the job, but also how she’d come to know Senator Chaim and what they were talking (or up to, depending on how one interpreted the leading questions).

Alba knew she had to get off Coruscant as quickly as possible. Although she had pretty much missed the last sign-up cycle, there were a few spots that remained unfilled. In a panic, she signed up for obscure place she hadn’t heard of, far away on the edge of the civil Galactic Society. She figured the further away the better.

Before long she was boarding the first of a number of transports; as she got further away, Alba felt concerned; she’d never before been so far from home, nor on her own. Having set off with nothing but a falling-apart rucksack and the Galaxica-assigned Tourism Industry Assistance Droid, Alba felt increasingly vulnerable. Although she avoided conversation for most of the journey, she did end up talking with one man of dubious legality, who at least took pity on her and left her with his old (rather rusty) blaster. Alba neither knows what type it is, nor how to shoot it.

By the time she arrived on Orondia, Alba felt totally out of her depth.

It was dark, dusty and dangerous. Nefarious characters lurked in corners, and the cantina was rowdy and intimidating. The planet itself was barren and uninteresting; probably the worst place Alba could ever imagine going on holiday. Alba slept with the blaster under her pillow, thinking that at least she could point it in their direction should any intruder burst into her room. Trapped on Orondia for the foreseeable future – given that she signed a 2-year contract - Alba had little choice but to try and get to work, making a desirable tourist destination out of this murky, run-down grim excuse for a planet. When she's not exploring the planet searching (in vain) for tourist hotspots, she mans a small stall just outside the cantina, where she tries to sell a mixture of overpriced off-world holidays, and day trips to Orondian locations not even she believes are worth the effort (or the credits).

RP Example:

Alba tilted her head to one side, and observed the rock.

True, it was relatively large. And – if one was interested in such things – it could be said the shape was quite unusual. But Alba remained unconvinced that anyone would travel in a jittery old speeder for several hours in order to view it. Especially not pay for the privilege. Let alone, that anyone in their right mind would cross the Galaxy for it.

"I think," she said, with far more hesitation than the situation warranted. "We might have to cross this one off the list."

Next to her, LEP-GT17 whirred. "The Tregott Marble was an ancient burial sight of an early Arondian Civilisation."

"Yeah," Alba said. "Except it’s a rock. Not a Marble. And it’s in the middle of…" She looked around her; trying to attach a descriptive word to the landscape before her, but nothing came to mind. It was grey, dusty, pockmarked. Barren, and desolate. If there was anything remotely worth visiting on this forsaken planet, it was not this rock.

LEP-GT17 whirred again: "Correction: the Tregott Marble is made out of Arondian Marble, and set in a vast forested area, on top of a hill."

Slowly, Alba turned to look at the Droid. "Gee… does this look like a vast, forested area? Does anywhere on this planet look like it might have a forest?"

Confused beeps bounced off the stony ground; the droid rotated 360 degrees, beeped some more, then said: "There appears to be a malfunction in my system."

Alba turned back to the rock irritably; what a waste of money to hire a speeder for this. This was the first time she’d summoned the courage to head out of the immediate surroundings of the station to see what might be on offer for the discerning visitor. LEP-GT17 had said there was a site of historical interest at this location.

This rock was not a site of historical interest.

In fact, now Alba came to think of it, for all the useless facts that LEP-GT17 liked to spout, not one had actually been accurate. Alba stopped short.

"LEP-GT17," she said. "What planet are you current programmed to advise on?"

"Arondia," beeped LEP-GT17.

"Orondia," Alba repeated, confused. That was definitely this one. "How do you spell that?"

"Arondia is spelt: A-R-"

"A?" Alba repeated faintly. "Orondia begins with an O." The realisation seeped over her like a bucket of ice. "You’ve been programmed for the wrong planet."

LEP-GT17 whirred and spun around again. "It would appear that this is a rocky, dry planet, and therefore is not the lush, rain-forested planet of Arondia." More beeps. "My calculations reveal that this is the outer-rim planet of Orondia."

Alba didn’t warrant the droid with a response; she marched over to the speeder, whilst LEP-GT17 hurried clumsily after her. As she hopped on, and LEP-GT17 stopped beside her, she gave it an almighty kick. The tinny sound echoed in the empty silence of the vast landscape.

"We’ve been on this planet a week," she seethed. "And you’ve only just realised that the information you are giving me is completely inaccurate."

The Droid clambered into the back of the Speeder. "The information I have been presenting is entirely accurate. For the planet of Arondia. However, it is not applicable to the planet of Orondia."

Alba sped back over the rocky ground, jerking this way and that, half hoping her useless excuse for a company-issued, colleague-programmed droid would fall out and be left behind in the dirt and dust.

No such luck.

"Warning: You are driving above the advised speed for this terrain."

"Is that for flat, rocky terrain, or forests?" Alba snapped back, and dipped the throttle more. Her scarf protected her nose and mouth from the wind and sand, but she could barely see, and her hair was wild. It might have been fun, had she not been so furious.

That night, as if the day couldn’t get any worse, the fuel supply was cut, and with it what little life and excitement Orondia had attracted flickered out.

And it stayed out.

Name: Dhek Zyymias
Age: 31
Species: Ubese
Appearance: Pale skin, with unusually large, piercing blue eyes and unkempt black hair. Stands at 1.9 meters (6'2") tall.

Dhek is adorned in a typical set of Ubese raider armor. He wears a roughspun shirt reinforced with impact armor for the chest and neck; draped over by a drab green Ogygian cloak fastened close to his body with a leather utility belt. He also utilizes a pair of thin leather gloves, to allow for dexterity when shooting. Additionally, he sports a pair of battered shata leather pants, complimented by spiked green greaves and a pair of traditional Ubese boots. In typical Ubese fashion, Dhek never exposes his face in the presence of other beings, therefore he also wears a helmet; consisting of a green shell modified with a targeting laser, scanner, speech scrambler, audio pickup and an antenna.

Gender: Male
Profession: Bounty Hunter
Equipment/Weapons:

Dhek primarily utilizes a 6-2Aug2 hunting rifle when on the job, preferring clean kills from the shadows rather than confrontation. As a sidearm, he carries a small blaster pistol in a shoulder holster beneath his cloak. The Ubese hunter also carries a lengthy blade in a sheath fastened on the right side of his torso for use in a pinch. To conceal his movement in both advance and retreat, Dhek carries three smoke grenades on his utility belt.

Weapons aside, Dhek keeps credits and medical supplies in a pouch on the back of his belt.

Pets/Droids/Companions: Dhek is fiercely xenophobic and introverted. Companions would just slow him down.

How you got to Orondia: Stalker, Lancer-class pursuit craft
Reason for travel to Orondia: Dhek plans to stay in hiding at Orondia indefinitely, after being the lone survivor of a particularly ugly job.
Bio (Due to the lack of Canon information on the state of the Ubese homeworld, I'll stick to Dhek's career): Dhek Zyymias, like many of his kinsmen, was bitter from the start.

Growing up fast and growing up rough, Dhek followed the footsteps of his absent father into the vicious world of bounty hunting. His formative days as a rookie hunter were spent on his homeworld, chasing low-level scoundrels of every criminal flavor across its marred surface. After nearly being beaten to death in a scuffle with one of his quarry, Zyymias permanently altered his fighting style to avoid physical confrontation at all costs. His agile frame and excellent vision would instead be put to use in a stealth and marksmanship capacity. As an added policy, Dhek no longer turned in his bounties alive. Spice dealers, pimps, thieves, and murderers from all over the system wound up at the feet of their respective post owners; all sharing the trait of a slug hole to the head. With a deep pocketful of credits, a ship, and a vicious reputation, Dhek dove headfirst into the deepest reaches of the Outer Rim in search of further opportunity. Zyymias continued to take underworld bounties for years on end; all the while avoiding partnerships, contracts, and any other form of unity within his career field to eliminate the prospect of betrayal. Like most Ubese, he was fiercely xenophobic, and as a result distrust and paranoia came naturally to him. Though many would consider such an attitude counterproductive, Dhek's career longevity was nothing to blink at. Many of his peers who had entered the field in a similar timeframe were either dead or in captivity.

Eventually, greed would overtake his personal code. Dhek took a job as part of a crew to hijack a payroll ship en route to Getarfuu VI; a mining planet in Wild Space. Additionally, they were to capture the ship's captain- a lowlife addicted to gambling and working women- and turn him over to Black Sun. Using his own personal craft to transport the 5-man crew, Dhek quickly intercepted the freighter and initiated a forced boarding. The subsequent engagement was quick and clean, with the ship's crew having been taken completely by surprise. The surviving members were rounded up and detained on the bridge by two of the hunters, while Dhek and the others (Corellians by the names of Jaylec and Raymus) set to work loading the captain and credits onto the Stalker. In an aggravating turn of fate, Jaylec seized the captain and freed him from bondage in the passenger compartment. Raymus had the misfortune of walking in on Jaylec and, in reaching for his blaster, was shot himself. Dhek was in the cockpit at the time of the shooting, giving him a very small window to react. Given his paranoid nature, he was already cognizant of the potential for betrayal. Jaylec soon called out from the cover of the passenger compartment, offering him a cut of the pay for rescuing the captain, as well as a percentage of the stolen credits. Trick or not, Dhek was no longer keen on taking chances. Utilizing his smoke grenades, he quietly exited the cockpit under the cover of smoke and leapt upon Jaylec, shooting him repeatedly with his pocket blaster. Blinded by rage, Dhek executed the captain on the spot. Having heard the exchange, the remaining bounty hunters on the bridge panicked and slaughtered the crew, before retreating toward the docked Stalker. In Dhek's mind, he had no choice but to kill his former allies. Seeing as how the bounty and two co-workers lay dead in his ship, along with all of the stolen credits, it would appear to be a clear plot to take the earnings for himself and cut out the crew. Additionally, for all Dhek knew, the others could also be aligned with the captain.

Dhek ambushed the duo on the docks utilizing his trusty slugthrower; slaying them as they attempted to enter the Stalker. Seeking to wipe his hands clean of all the murders, he dumped the bodies of the Corellians and the captain out onto the docks and made off with the credits; leaving the dead ship to drift aimlessly through Wild Space. Having killed his fellow hunters, taken the credits for himself, and failed to bring the captain back alive, venturing into Black Sun territory was a certified death warrant. Dhek tore off into Hutt space, traveling as far as he could before at last landing to refuel at Orondia Station. Running any further would likely push him back into Wild Space, and while it was undoubtedly the safest option, he wouldn't exactly be enjoying creature comforts. For the time being, all he could do was sit and wait for things to cool down; and pray the bloody affair didn't return to haunt him.

Charlemagna wrote:Name: Alba Joostal

Really good to have a truly 'civilian' type character join! Be interesting to see what happens if some of those Republic officials catch up with her...

Akordania wrote:Name: Dhek Zyymias

I like this!

I guess it's up to you how long Dhek has been on the station prior to the RP. As you'll see from the IC and conversations here, the fuel line has been cut for some time so the station was a ghost town before Nat turned up and got things back in order (first post of IC), he can either have been staying since before the fuel was cut, or be a new arrival? If a new arrival, it'd be pretty cool to have your first post be him touching down on the station after the job went bad, but I leave the decision to you?

Already making moves - I like it! Poor Oleg

My next post will go into more detail on the station security staff and systems and flesh out some of Nat's own plans! Give you something to work with/against.

At the moment I'm thinking of a small group (3-6) of security guards backed up by security droids (about 12) and some anti-personnel turrets - the aim is to have enough firepower to deter any attacks (also giving an IC reason as to why Immils hasn't bothered just conquering the whole station already) but not be too overpowered for what is otherwise a mere service station. Let me know your thoughts on this balance-wise?

Also I'm quite happy if you'd like to have one of the guards be on Immils' payroll and keeping her informed/tipped off about any security issues that come up? Let me know your thoughts.

Should work, yeah. I appreciate the offer of having one guard on her payroll. That would help.

_How you got to Orondia:
Flew in on a Wayfarer class medium transport

_Reason for traveling to Orondia:
on the run from an unknown enemy, Staying for awhile

_Bio:
Vorzir Rekem is a brilliant inventor, skilled in computer science, cybernetics, & engineering.

An unfortunate accident left him confined to a wheelchair for most of his growing up years.
Though very few people in the galaxy know who he really is, some of his aliases have become notorious in the underworld communities on Utapau, Coruscant, & a few planets in between.

He made his start selling information to News Nets on corrupt law enforcement on Utapau. Not long after he discovered a local gang known as the Nos Directive, named after the Nos Monsters on Utapau. Most of them were teenagers like himself consisting of Sugis’s, Utai, other Pau’an, & 1 Amani. He was going to turn them in but decided it would be more fun to join them. Revealing himself to them he convinced them they needed someone with his skill set go beyond being just a punk gang. They eventually started thinking that he was right so they accepted him giving him the nick name Nos Hunter, keeping up the theme they all shared. With Vorzir on their team their success sky rocketed & they became more sophisticated.

They started traveling to other planets looking for adventure & bigger scores with each of them enhancing their skill set. Eventually they made their way to Coruscant. Here they picked up clients not just from News Nets but bounty hunters, syndicates, politicians & more. As long as the payout was right, they took nearly any job, even a few from separatist agents taking full advantage from the clone wars on both sides. They were having the time of their lives.

Unfortunately their success & money wouldn’t last. One of them, a Utai named Tum Goln aka Nos Lancer, had become greedy & started doing jobs on his own & breaking many of the rules ND setup to keep themselves safe & from stepping on the toes of the wrong people. Stealing from private businesses & conning dangerous individuals on his own was bad enough. The nail in the coffin was when he tried to gather intel on politicians from Naboo. With the controversy surrounding Naboo & the Trade Fedration he was certain that information would be highly valuable. Everything went sideways after he started following a hooded figure that seemed to have a connection to Chancellor Palpatine & Count Dooku. Suddenly Lancer found that he was the prey.

Before being assassinated he sent the data to the other members of ND of everything he discovered setting into motion a chain of events that ended in almost everyone in ND getting killed or disappearing. After escaping Coruscant Vorzir called in every favour he could. He diligently traveling to all of ND’s supply depots & bank accounts making sure all of their families received most the resources & destroying any information his mysterious enemy could try to use against him or his previous clients.

After months of running & fighting to stay alive he made his way into Hutt space. He didnt know for sure what Lancer stumbled upon, but whoever or whatever the chancellor was involved with, they were powerful, relentless, & had most of the Republic & Separatists well in their control.

Khlyndor, you're missing the RP sample section. For obvious reasons I'm sorta iffy about the character, but just want to point that out. Also unsure as to why all the bold sections have a _ before it.

I don’t have any examples. I’ll get an except going.

Also I typed all of this on my notes on my phone & forgot to delete that portion.

Oh just to be clear what are all the things your iffy on?

I’m planning on him trying to start a legitimate business since his last occupation ended so terribly.

The high amount of droids and the certainty I have that conflict will immediately begin once my character becomes aware of yours. I'm not even talking the sort of conflict like with Nats, the sort based on economics. I'm talking the 'kill the enemy now' sort of conflict. He's a definite unknown with no way to investigate, has a large amount of weapons and security troops, and is not from around here at all. He's a threat, pure and simple. Also the portions of his bio involving presumably Darth Maul. The Nos Directive doesn't seem to be the sort of organization that would continue to exist, especially with the Black Sun's supremacy during the period of it's rise, and the fact that they moved to Coruscant only serves to heighten that. Also the mention of Separatist Agents and the Clone Wars because it hasn't been going on for that long.

So I think Ormata is right about needing to reduce the number of droids Vorzir is travelling with. I feel like if he were on the run, especially from the powerful forces implied in your bio, travelling with such a large security contingent would give the game away. Keeping in mind that the station itself will only have a similar number of security forces, his presence would seem a little excessive to even the casual observer.

I don't really have an issue with the Nos Directive, as we are in the late clone wars and a small organisation like that could do reasonably well provided it didn't stick its nose in where it didn't belong, which of course is what you've said it has done and hence Vorzir going on the run.

The way I see it, I will need you to make an adjustment in order to be accepted.

Either you can heavily reduce the number of security droids you are travelling with and keep the backstory that he is on the run.

OR you could just reduce the number of droids slightly and adjust the backstory to remove the part about Lancer's discovery. You could then have Vorzir simply be scouting the station/surrounding systems for a new base for the gang, potentially having made an agreement with the Hutts to do so in their territory.

That second option does naturally leave open the prospect of confrontation with Ormata's character and her crime racket, but a bit of friendly competition between criminals might spice things up...

I am happy to work in your suggestion that he wants to set up a legitimate business on the station either way as we have plenty of currently boarded up stores that would be available for lease from Nat (with the second option it could just be a front for the gang).

I would also like to see an RP sample out of fairness to everyone else who has provided one. If you stick with the Lancer discovery getting the gang killed, then a good extract might be Vorzir making his escape, otherwise one of their previous jobs as a gang might also be good. But it's entirely up to you - I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

"Friendly competition". I look to the past for inspiration, to the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre. I would hunt. I still don't exactly like that method, considering precisely how brutal it is and precisely how...less it holds as far as roleplay versus conflict. I'm already pushing it in my mind by removing Oleg from the equation at the start of the game.

This stated, I would request that I keep control of those individuals under Doc's payroll.

Would anyone be interested in contacting Doc?

I see your points, though I must not have given enough details, let me see if I can clear some of your concerns.

Only 4 of the Droids with Vorzir are combat droids, the 3 IG-86 & the single B2. The prowlers are modified purely for surveillance & package delivery. The Astromech is kinda like R2D2 but serves to help Vorzir hack, store, & manage data. The GH-7’s are solely medical droids.
As far as Nos Directive, they were more like Oceans 11 with only 8-12 members at any given time.

And as far as timeline, is the rp set towards the end of the clone wars?

While that's true, it's a helluva large security detail and a pretty high-end one. The B2 would garner attention, that's for sure. As for the Nos Directive, I agree with both you and Cheye's points that since this is during the war period Black Sun would likely not be so able to smash it's competition. Their attentions would be elsewhere. Opening post has us "set immediately before/during the events of Revenge of the Sith", so 19 BBY and effectively the last year of the Clone Wars yeah.

WIP App:
Name: Dak Stone
Age: 46
Species: Human (Corellian)
Appearance: Dak Stone is 1.8 meters tall, with brown eyes and graying hair that is still partly brown. His face is heavily tanned and weathered, with a graying beard. He is of a medium build, and generally wears a battered green flight suit and spaceman's boots.
Gender: Male
Profession: A mostly honest tramp freighter captain, who runs guns once in a while
Equipment/Weapons: A tool belt containing these items: some small multitools, a comm link, a sheath knife, a datapad, and a holstered DH-17 blaster pistol.
Pets/Droids/Companions:
Jes Stone: wife/copilot, 44 years old, carries a heavily modified MSM Power 5 heavy blaster pistol.
R2-Z4 "Echo": astromech, never had his memory wiped, mostly stays shipboard
Deke Stone: son/crewmember, 17 years old, armed with a DL-22 blaster pistol
Jek Stone: son/crewmember, 19 years old, armed with a MSM DD6 blaster pistol
How you got to Orondia: Dak Stone owns an old, battered and heavily modified CEC YU-410 light freighter named Falling Rock, which is his primary means of transport.
Reason for travel to Orondia: The Stones are here to drop off a load of ore. Once the ore's been dropped off, they're planning on looking for cargo or passengers. They don't have a set route, but they often stop at the station when they're out this way.
Bio: Dak Stone was born into the tramp freighter business, and grew up on his father's freighter. When Dak turned twenty two, his father retired and put him in charge of the freighter. He promptly went off on a voyage, with his brother, Echo, and a friend for a crew. It was after this voyage that he met his future wife, Jes, who was a twenty year old apprentice power plant technician at the time, and was training on a nearby ship. They happened to run into each other, and the pair became fast friends. They kept in touch, and began dating about a year after they first met. They continued dating for another year, despite Dak's traveling. They got engaged, and then married, after Jes got her power plant technician certification. Jes joined the crew of Dak's ship. They eventually had two sons. By the time Jek was born, Dak's brother had gotten married and owned his own ship. When Deke was born, the crew consisted of Dak, Echo, and Jes. To help run the ship, they managed to enlist Jes' younger brother. By the time Jek was ten, he was practically a full member of the crew. They had run-ins with pirates over the years, but always managed to fight them off or run. Over the years, the Falling Rock has been heavily modified over the years. It's faster, with better shields, scanners, and guns, and other things. They've run cargos for governments, citizens, and others. They've stayed neutral in the war, occasionally running cargos for either side. They've been down and out before, but they have always pulled through. Dak loves his ship, and the freedom and opportunity it brings.
RP Example: This link is from an older RP, if that's all right.

Yes thinking it over the B2 would bring more attention then Vorzir would want. I think I’ll stink with my original back story, but maybe not have him go completely legit.

As far as droids how does this sound.

1 standard IG-86
1 Modified IG-86
2 Modified Prowlers
1 Astromech droid
2 GH-7 Medical Droid
