All right, looks like we have a poll result.

I'll be updating the OP with the new values, feel free to edit spending into the posts. Just give me a heads up.

Now that we have a result, I'll work on finishing the update so we can move forward at a decent pace. I'll throw up an archive as well, so we can keep apps there and easily update our chars and inventories.

Were we allowed to use our starting credits to give our characters starting weapons or armor?

Yeah you can if you want to. No issue with that.

Instead of an archive thread could you just link the apps in the roster we already have in the OP?

Aleemu: This world was filled to the brim with freshwater, with only a few islands (that would pass for mountains and ranges on other worlds) preventing the world from displaying a perfect glossy blue color. It lacked the essential elements for life, however, and so remained a virgin world for billions of years, only recently having been discovered and explored. The absent need for purification has drawn a lot of merchants towards the planet in the hopes of sucking it dry, bringing the bounty of the oceans to desert colonies at a premium, and turning a large profit. As the waters lowered, colonists jumped at the opportunity to establish their own little principalities. The settlements remain quite sparse and heavily divided, but the ones that can plant themselves on dry ground find themselves to be quite successful. They're eager for construction materials, mechanics, and anything that will help them turn a marsh into a paradise. On the shadier side, some individual colonies also want to cut their distant brothers off at the root. Once the land emerges, the land would be then be theirs, and they wouldn't have to worry about powerful, bothersome neighbors. It's a growing, thriving planet, one of the few notable ones at least.

Taiuqua: Billions of years ago, a larger planet crashed into it and sent it spiraling out of its orbit. It now wanders alone through the galaxy, its old core of iron and nickel cooled and exposed for all the galaxy to see. It lies closer to the Inner part of the galaxy, and many factions claim it, but few colonize its bleak soil, and no faction cares to war over it. Many shadier characters, not to mention subterranean and light-sensitive creatures, have burrowed into the non-metallic continents, taking refuge outside the light of a sun. It bustles, much like you would expect an average Inner World planet to do, and the people there have a much more ho-hum attitude with life than one would expect. Because of a sequence of good economic decisions, the average citizen can survive and even thrive by working there. Despite being literally a shady planet, its outlook is quite bright. You can make a good living by working with these gents- just bring your own lights.

I understand that seven is the number of completion, so insert these only if you want, at your leisure.

What's the planet of Ylem like?

The Empire of Tau wrote:What's the planet of Ylem like?

A temperate world that hits the sweet spot for carbon-based life, Ylem has a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere maintained by abundant indigenous plants and bacteria. While the native plants are not very palatable to humans, the soil conditions are such that a handful of introduced terran plant and animal species have flourished. It was a good place, for an Outer Rim world at least until a large attack by a pirate fleet devastated it a few months ago. Since the attack the population is in flux. The pirates inflicted significant casualties, but refugees have been streaming to the planet from other worlds that the same fleet hit after moving on from Ylem. Since many land illegally, there is no way to accurately track the population. Although many locals resent the newcomers, others have embraced Ylem's new role. The population (recorded that is) stands at around 1.3 million, about 80% are humans. The capital city is named Discovery and is still very much scarred from the fighting.

Several even, taken from the bodies of dead pirate raiders and sold by opportunistic scavvers.

Remember, you also have some extra cash to spend from the class update. As does everyone.

Mercatus wrote:AYYYYYYYY who be makin' and open world space RP?

Name: Cpt. Keith Maxwell
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Background: Mercenary
Bio: Captain Keith Maxwell was a fighter pilot before he was a captain, and was one of the most skilled and widely known pilots in the galaxy. When he was honorably discharged from the military, he became a gun-for-hire. He was a wing commander when he was discharged, and his 5 wingmen were discharged with him. He and his crew began to etch a living in the outer reaches of the galaxy, taking both legal and illegal jobs.

Keith is generally considered a fun guy to have at the bar, but alongside friends, he has made numerous enemies. Many dealers, loan sharks, crime syndicates, and even bartenders want Keith dead for a number of reasons. He is also used to being betrayed on a weekly basis by employers or colleagues, and doesn't trust anyone besides his crew. Most of his shopping for weapons is done through legal means, however, the black market holds a certain appeal to him with it's high-end weapons, ships, and ship equipment.

Equipment: 150 Credits, Medium Armor, Accatran Mk7 DMR, Mod-5 Foehammer
Crew: 5
Ship: Cutter
Stat Rankings: Brawn 35, Brain 10, Heart 10, Guile 20
Traits: Not currently available
Other: Almost always seen wearing a brick-red flight suit and black boots. Hair is jet black and he has green eyes. His voice has the slightest hint of a british accent.

I have a few ship, equipment, and weapon ideas. Will you allow me to share them? These would be mid-level to high-end ships, equipment, and weapons, all interchangeable and able to be added on to ships and characters.

Goshdang it. I just recognized the master himself, Keith Maxwell. My apologies for not recognizing you sooner. You glorious bastard. How was the date?

Since the information featured in the response to Lucjan Vrana's post lacks any sort of skill roll, I'm going to assume that information is freely known. As such, my post will already have a contract signed for the charting of at minimum one of those systems. I will leave the specific rate information up to OP.

With the extra 250 credits, I will also have bought weapons in that post. Information for those weapons is already listed in my character application, ship section.

I hope to post soon. Please don't leave without me; my lunch break was just too occupied to post right now. I should have something in about 2.5 hours.

Do those three armed guards have communication devices on them? And will shooting them be loud enough to be heard above the party and music? Also what type of armor did the guards have? Medium I'm guessing

Basically everyone has a hand terminal, but you need to take it from your pocket first. There's s console they can use to access the ship's PA too. Depends, with powder weapons or accelerators, probably. With energy weapons, probably not. Nah, they're watching locked up slaves, light armor is what they got.
