As the youngest of four he had to fight for his parent's attention, especially since their jobs kept them away from home. While his parents found military work to be fulfilling, it didn't fill their bank account. With little parental supervision, Vincent often got into trouble and barely squeeked by in school. At the end of high school, he realized he had little job opportunities so he decided to follow the rest of his family into the military.
In the military he gained the discipline he needed to succeed in his studies and he eventually left boot camp and started learning to be an ET. Blazing through A school, he entered his first assignment at a radar station in Alaska. After a paperwork SNAFU left him waiting at a base in the states, he met the former commander of a SEAL team and hit it off. He invited Vincent to join the Naval Special Warfare Command to help support special forces operations across the globe. After hearing about all the work it involved, Vincent quickly applied. He became a leader for a small team of engineers that designed, tested, and deployed various devices in both public and classified operations.

Dislikes: Confined spaces, country music, running long distances
Fears: Making the wrong call on a shot, not acting in time to save his team
Personality: Talkative and gregarious, Scott is used to being the communicative member of his team when on overwatch. Perfectly capable of working and operating alone, prefers to be around teammates when not on mission. Prefers not to discuss operations and work when not "on the clock," and instead focuses on other, safer topics. Scott keeps a professional perspective on his team and mission, bordering on somewhat callous to outsiders. As a contrast to his off-hours persona, during missions Scott is direct, and hyper-focused on his objective.
Immediate Family: Robert Fisher (father), Diane Fisher (mother), Ryan Fisher (brother)
Biography:
Born in Boston but raised in Portland, Maine, Scott Fisher always wanted to be an explorer when he was young. As a child, he would wander the heavily wooded areas behind his family's home, pretending that he was the first one to discover a large boulder or a fallen tree. His parents, a college professor and a nurse, encouraged his activities, and enrolled Scott in Scouts to give him some structure and guidance in his hobby. When he was old enough, Scott's father introduced him hunting, much to his mother's chagrin. Even as a boy, Scott showed promise with a steady hand and keen eye when out with his father, coming to greatly enjoy and respect the wilderness and outdoors.
In high school, Scott excelled in several subjects, including math and English, but was unsure of what to do after graduation. His father, a professor at one of the local colleges, pushed him towards higher education, but Scott was resistant. He had an 'itch' that he could not quite place, and he felt that Portland was stifling. Upon graduation, instead of enrolling, Scott joined the army, with the idea and promise of getting to travel and see distant locations. Both Scott's mother and father disproved of the decision, fearing the worst. In the military, Scott found it initially hard to adjust to the command structure, but quickly learned how to rely and communicate with his teammates. During testing and his first tour in Iraq, Scott's aptitude with a rifle become apparent. He received additional training and deployments as a sniper with the Army, particularly in urban settings.
On one such tour, in Iraq, Scott was with his unit near Tal Afar. Scott was on overwatch on the roof of a half-destroyed apartment building while his unit and others conducted house-to-house inspections in one of the hot spots. While surveying the city, Scott noticed a woman in a burqa hurrying down the road. Suspicious, Scott trained his scope on her as she moved closer to the friendly forces. He rested his finger on the trigger, but hesitated. One of the friendly Iraqis noticed her approach and told her to halt. Just then, she detonated a suicide vest, killing her and wounding some American and Iraqi soldiers. While there were no fatalities, the moment stuck with Scott, and he found it difficult to trust his own judgement for some time. Eventually, he coped by compartmentalizing, and trying to keep a perspective on what he can, and cannot control. Still, from time to time he falls back on old habits, and hesitates when he shouldn't.
Although Scott had joined the military with the simple aim of seeing new sights and using his talents, in time he gained a new appreciation for bringing order to chaos. He saw families and homes ripped apart, and hyenas picking at the remains. While his initial plan was to leave the Army and go back to school, as his parents intended, he found it difficult to leave the service after knowing what was going on in the world. Just the opposite, he found that, along with his wanderlust and love of exploration, he also felt a great amount of hatred for those who would prey on the weak. His mission performance and abilities qualified him for Ranger School, which Scott felt like was one of the more difficult periods of his life. Upon graduated, he joined the 75th Ranger Battalion, and saw service again in the Middle East as well as Africa. To Scott, this was an opportunity not only to perform more important functions, but also be put where he was needed most.
And the conclusion of one of his recent missions, he was pulled aside and offered a spot in Task Force Aegis. Scott looked at the offer as another way to both help people, take some bad guys out, and see more.

TASK FORCE AEGIS MILITARY PERSONNEL FILE CONFIDENTIAL - DESTROY UPON COMPROMISE
"Task Force Aegis" is a "Research & Development" Department of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Basic Information
Name: Joaquin Campos Jiménez
Appearance:
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 5-7-1993
Nationality: Spanish
Place of Birth: Barcelona, Catalonia, Spanish State
Strengths:
Professional driver: Joaquin can handle anything that drives with more than one wheel, and he can even do well on a unicycle. He is especially proficient in cars and vans, but he can also drive trucks and motorbikes. Not only can he drive them, he can use them extremely proficiently and aggressively, especially when diving others off the road. It does not take him very long to get a handle on the characteristics of unknown vehicles. He despises automatics and mopeds, though, and likes to drive in style.
Petrol head: Joaquin knows his cars. He is not only a good river, he also knows what goes on underneath the hood, and has a knack for fixing up broken vehicles, which is how he fills his spare time. Being the quintessential car guy and having a subscription to all the magazines, Joaquin knows his bit about motorised vehicles.
Anti-terrorist: Joaquin has a lot of anti-terrorist experience. While not being experienced in open combat, he knows how to crack a safe house, how to track drug money and how to bust an arms deal in progress. He might not be able to fight his way through hoards of bad guys, but he knows how to track down a terrorist kingpin and drag him behind his convertible to the nearest police station.
Weaknesses:
Substance abuse: Joaquin likes a drink, a sniff, and a smoke. He believes alcohol makes him a better driver. If he goes without a drink for too long, he gets withdrawal symptoms.
Nationalist: Joaquin is convinced by the superiority of Castilian culture and history, to the detriment of others. He would do anything for God and Country, and has a deep distrust for protestants, the English, Americans, and especially Muslims.
Adrenaline junky: Joaquin wants to go fast and hard. Base jumping, street racing, he is one to do it for the kicks. Others might call him reckless for this, taking unnecessary risk.

Dislikes: Stuck-up officers, authority figures, Catalans, Protestants, Muslims, bikes, mopeds
Fears: Being hurt so badly that he is consigned to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
Personality: Joaquin keeps up a façade of carelessness and playfulness, never taking anything seriously, to distract from his own deep-seeded insecurities and fears. He believes he has no future in life, and he has no desire to live beyond 35, which is why he lives it up. This also gives him the idea that he might die at any moment, and this gives him even more reason to take his life to the extreme. If it’s not by a bullet, it will be by a car crash or a broken parachute, so he better live his life to the fullest. To him, it is all a game, and he is trying to get a high score before game over.
Immediate Family:
Father: Raul Campos Ferrera
Mother: Maria Jiménez Corazon
Brother (older): Raul Campos Jiménez
Brother (younger): Martino Campos Jiménez
Girlfriend: Belen Espinosa Castro
Biography:
Born to a Castilian family living in Barcelona, the early life of Joaquin was accentuated by contrasts. His father was a bureaucrat and his mother a lawyer, two people with strong ties with the central government in Madrid of king Alfonso I. While Franco had been dead for almost twenty years, Alfonso had only implemented limited democratisation, and had resisted calls for Catalan and Basque autonomy. Instead, he supported Castilians taking important government functions, which was why Joaquin's parents had moved to Barcelona in the first place. In Barcelona, Joaquin attended a Castilian school, where he was taught Castilian Spanish and the glory of Spanish history, as well as good Catholic morals.
When Joaquin was 15, violence broke out during protests, leading to rioting in the streets. After the murder of two different families of prominent bureaucrats, Joaquin and his family moved to Madrid. There, however, they were seen as 'too Catalan', without much foundation, and neither his father nor his mother landed a steady job. AS a result, the family could only afford a small flat, and while Joaquin had hoped to study history and become a professor, he now had to get a quick job to make ends meet. The increased tension had its benefits, however, and as the Spanish State expanded the Guardia Civil to counter increased lawlessness. Joaquin signed up and joined the Guardia as a Highway Patrolman. He liked the outdoors, and driving around the country meant he had to spend less time in the cramped apartment of his parents.
It was here that Joaquin got his passion for driving. He learnt how the vehicles work, inside and out. He drove in vans, and participated in various high speed chases. The summit of his career with highway patrol came when a terror suspect tried to escape Catalonia to the south, followed hot on their heels by the highway patrol. Eventually, Joaquin overtook his own column and drove the suspect off a bridge, killing two out of four suspects and allowing the rest to be detained. This gained him some national notoriety, and soon after, he got a call from the GAR, the anti-terrorist arm of the Guardia, where he was offered a job. He got basic training and specialised anti-terrorism training, where they really leaned into his talents. Before long, he was a designated driver for the force, participating in several terrorist busts all over Basque country and Catalonia. He was especially happy to work in his home town of Barcelona, where he knew the streets well and hated the Catalans the most.
The most hostile engagement he was ever involved in occurred on the Balearic islands. While stationed there to bust some combined ETA and Catalonia terrorist cells, who were rumoured to work together, a coup was staged on the island in the hope of capturing it and using it as a base of operations to launch further attacks. The Guardia Civil on the island was cut off from reinforcements, outnumbered, and outgunned. Using guerrilla tactics, however, and blending with the civilian population, the team managed to sow chaos with their hit-and-run attacks, taking out various high profile cells. They arrested the provisional government, a prime minister and five other ministers in total, dragged them to the airport and got them on a plane, flying them to Spain where they announced the surrender of the Balearic enclave. This operation, and his participation in it, was what gave Joaquin the leg up to get an invitation for Aegis.File Number T00-62872-57172AFG - DO NOT WRITE HERE - FOR TRACKING & STORAGE PURPOSES

TASK FORCE AEGIS MILITARY PERSONNEL FILE CONFIDENTIAL - DESTROY UPON COMPROMISE
"Task Force Aegis" is a "Research & Development" Department of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Basic Information
Name: Cédric C. Lagare
Appearance: Lagare is 5'10" (177.8cm) at 165lbs (75kg). Slim/Lean Build, Medium-length Slicked Undercut, Black Hair and Blue Eyes. | Portrait | Candid (With Shield)
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: December 25, 1998 (age 20)
Nationality: Canadian
Place of Birth: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Strengths:Weaknesses:
- "La Vaillance": A courageous, sometimes suicidal sense of duty and valour motivates Cédric to take on greater dangers with more contagious motivation and zeal if it means protecting his squadmates, completing the mission, or even if it just gets him home sooner. Applies with greater impact the more desperate a failing mission gets.
- Mozambique: Extensive close-quarters police and tactical training has made Cédric extremely effective with handguns at arms length, close, and medium ranges. With various handguns, Cédric is proficient in the CAS stance, and averages a 1.4 quick-draw time.
- Community Training: Cédric has undergone various community and societal training programs that makes him semi-effective at reassuring hostages, civilians, and locals, without language barriers. Can make an improvised forlorn crisis negotiator for extremely desperate situations.
- Young and Restless: Cédric is often reckless and forgoes slow methodical tactics for a more aggressive and clearing approach, even when impractical. His lack of experience and relative youth only emboldens his exuberant need for constant engagement.
- Short-sighted: Due to the nature of Cédric's tactics and training, he is almost or wholly ineffective at long to far ranges and struggles in open combat.
- Nicotine Addict: As a result from gruelling field police work, Cédric has developed a moderately concerning nicotine addiction that varies in intensity. At best, he will take unsolicited smoke breaks. At worse, he will swap magazine pouches for cigarette cartons.

Dislikes: Addiction Counsellors, Protesters, Rioters, "Hippies"
Fears: Dishonourable Discharge, People who aren't afraid of the law, Arthropods
Personality: Talkative and constantly wanting to be occupied, Cédric has been described by his colleagues as a "German Shepard" who steps into a room, accesses the situation, and figures out who is good company, who to approach, and when to listen. Though easy-going and bonds well with teammates, Cédric often believes he is antagonised even when not, and does not take disciplinary measures from his superiors with ease.
Immediate Family: Christia Lagare (Mother), Gendron Lagare (Father), Maria Lagare (Sister).
Biography:Born and raised a French-Catholic in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Cédric Lagare is a devout Roman Catholic and Quebec patriot. At a young age, with the persistence of his religiously devout Roman Catholic mother, Christia Lagare, Cédric took up to studying religion and worked in various Parishes. Cédric was reportedly easy-going, talkative, and other students and alter-servants would gravitate to him for his attention. Cédric attended the small Académie de Roberval High School and received a lot of personal attention from his teachers. He would later attend the Université de Montréal, one of the more prestigious and intellectual talented schools in the province. During this time he would develop his English, making Cédric bilingual. He was reportedly a poor student in University, and was far from exemplary in both discipline and studious conduct. His lack of strict upbringing developed a spoiled, delinquent nature in him. During this time he would develop a nicotine addiction that was quickly suppressed. He would later relapse during his career years. Cédric graduated with degrees in Biblical Studies, as well as History and the Arts.
His father, Gendron Lagare, was then Chief of the Montreal Police Service, and concurrently with his University years, encouraged a more reckless Cédric to enter the police department from a young age, possibly to instil discipline. Cédric, who was considering resorting to joining the Canadian Infantry to make a living, accepted his father's offer. Cédric was pushed into an officer fast-track program and demonstrated a proficiency with firearms and good athletic skill. Cédric was eventually transferred to the Yukon province to undergo a secretive youth-recruitment program for the RCMP. Though Cédric was eager and excited about his upcoming and developing career, he still retained trouble with authority and is unable to take consistent verbal abuse. Regardless, Cédric passed on the higher-end of cadets and was fast-tracked to NCO and CO status' with the counter-terrorist Emergency Response Unit of the RCMP. During this time, citing being overworked, Cédric relapsed on his addiction. Cédric would participate in various field patrols and tactical operations with consistent success and efficiency. He would be loaned to various city departments such as the Toronto Police Service to provide training and operate with local Police Tactical Units. For his exemplary police conduct, Cédric was trialled by the Joint Task Force 2 Special Operations Force of the Canadian Armed Forces, but dropped out without penalty after 1 year of intensive training due to police preference.
Cédric would often volunteer to be the acting pointman/shield-bearer for his squad. He cites various reasons from "it [the shield] feels comfortable", "suicidal tendencies", and a "sense of duty", though we speculate he simply prefers a highly-aggressive combat role due to his apparent impatience.
Though never deployed out of the country, Cédric has been critical in curbing Canadian terrorist activity, and displayed consistently above-average combat proficiency in such scenarios. Upon being informed by Aegis Agents of his possible promotion to the Task Force, Cédric responded with renewed vigour and excitement. Though he may struggle due to his lack of military experience, he may prove a viable asset in Task Force Aegis' counter-terror roles.
Past RP Examples: [1], [2].
Additional Information:
- Cédric claims to be ambidextrous, and though he can swap shield and shooting hands, his left-handed writing is "less then legible".
- We are unaware as to how to properly pronounce Cédric's surname, 'Lagare'. Cédric himself pronounces it inconsistently.

I'm assuming it's a "within reason" thing. Seeing as I put a P226 in my app and wasn't lynched.

C'est beau, mais j'ai une petite problem avec l'application.
There's a notable lack of a primary suitable for medium-long range combat situations (i.e. a rifle), and as the combat operations aren't going to be limited to just close-quarters combat, you may want to add a rifle (as long as it's a NATO rifle, I don't really care, so feel free to use the C7 or C8) to your "back-up" armaments.
ACCEPTED.

With your approval I'll add the C8 but don't expect him to be any good with it. I don't want him to be overpowered or anything, and his whole gig is excellence in close-quarters and complete inexperience at range.

It seemed that Iakovos was set on the path of perhaps becoming an archeologist. This changed however during high school when a friend of the family, a Turkish man named Zeynel needed a place to stay after losing his apartment. His parents let Zeynel stay with them and Iakovos would find himself talking to Zeynal. Mainly because he was interested in Zeynel being a former soldier and wanted to hear his stories. Zeynel would tell some of his war stories and how he was from a line of soldiers dating back to the Turkish War of Independence. Zeynel even taught some of his martial arts moves to Iakovos and Iakovos would start to develop an interest in the military.
Iakovos would have gone to a university but when he graduated in 2010 but, the Greek government-debt crisis was in full swing and made him unable to afford to go to a university. With limited job options open to him and remembering what Zeynel said about the military. Iakovos thought long and hard about it and later choose to enlist to the military.
After Iakovos joined the military, Iakovos was one of the Greeks that was sent to contribute to the International Security Assistance Force mission in Afghanistan. There Iakovos would get his first taste of action and would fight in several operations in southern and eastern Afghanistan. When the ISAF ceased operations in 2014, Iakovos would be sent home and instead of more action, he would spend the next 2 years doing field training exercises. He did not mind that that at first but, after two years of just training, he felt he wanted to do more. So he applied to join the 13th Special Operations Command. Iakovos was accepted and after finishing his training, would get sent back to Afghanistan and would fight alongside other NATO forces. In 2019, Iakovos was approached with an offer to join Task Force Aegis and after thinking about it, he accepted, seeing how he could help make a difference.

For the thread, should we just RP the characters living conditions in the safehouse until we're briefed by some Aegis authority figure or are the operators responsible for that on their own?

You can RP your characters already being there, and are just getting settled in. I'll get my character up eventually to do a quick briefing.
