Britain. The idea of the Indian Civil War is to split the country into three.
You'd have the Princes in the southern regions, commies in the far north-eastern regions and the nationalists in the north and western parts. In this situation, the nationalists are the ones who pulled the trigger and are in a way - the same guys who wanted to get rid of Britain. Only in this case, they don't want to remain kissy-friendly with Pakistan.
The Princes in the south want to regain their power and likely most welcome of American and British aid. The commies would be the weakest faction in the east (since from what I read, they weren't strong, to begin with within India - due to the secular western ideology clashing with the nation's identity or something).
Would you be up for supporting the Princely Federation? (I play to likely play the south)

I sent you a telegram explaining it. Basically what Hypron said.
And I like this idea. I'll get up a map to see if I understood this correctly

Ignore the Dominion of India name. It's the map that come closest to what I am thinking.
Alright. I used that HOI4 map as a reference:
In my next RP post, we'll have the Geneva Conference start (probably with the UK going as well). I think that can be an early catalyst for major divisions in the country. Also, since China has some control over Tibet, do you think both the USSR and Chinese can send aid directly to those communist areas?

Can you identify the colored areas on the map? It looks cool.

My apologies. Events have been rather shaky here so I've decided to leave them alone unless players asked for them. In this case, I'll provide some ideas. Before that though, I wanted to say that we're pretty active in the Discord, which is probably why the activity here in the OOC is quite low
1: Perhaps decolonization movements in Libya and Somalia? I realize they have representation in the Italian Senate, but historically, Libya gained independence in 1951
2: I think the development of the European Coal and Steel Community with France, West Germany, and the Low Countries is something to build up to
3: Rebuilding Italy from the war
4: Crackdowns on communistsThe Felan Federation wrote:

How long do you think it'll take for the civil war to be triggered? And can you tell us more about the ultra-nationalists political ideologies? Are they leaning towards a dictatorship, democracy etc

Well. They'd likely be of the fake democracy seen in the South Americas.
They would dislike Nehru for his buddy-buddy relationship with the Pakistani, since they see the Muslims as responsible for ripping apart India as it was. While all signs point to Nehru eager to hand over Kashmir to Pakistan. Since the situation is less politically hostile and a majority of the population there is Muslim.
I would imagine it would contain most of the hardcore nationalists and army elements, including more radical Indian National Congress members.
