I'm just trying to decide. If we do,it could be close to sudden death or at least some kind of confrontation. Or maybe it's how our powers go up to the next level!

I had been waiting for Szarlotta and whoever was playing the guitar to respond, but since they hadn't, I just put Freddy in the doorway of that room and also near the other room where everyone else was.

And partly because of Freddy's insecurity, especially at being singled out like that at a party, I've sent him out into the woods too.

We'll see if that was a mistake or not.

NS Name: Mercatus
Character Name: Mark Harrison
Appearance: 5'7" caucasian male with light brown hair and green eyes, very sharp facial features and shape, skinny but possesses decent muscular mass. Weighs 134 lbs.
Clique: Outsiders
Age: 15
Powers, Group, and Magnitude: Mutant/Freak, Mag 1., Near-indestructible body composure
Mark Harrison is an oddball even for kids with superpowers. Under what seemingly is a perfectly normal human lies what can only be described as a very strong, somewhat liquid metallic substance that makes him ALMOST indestructible. He discovered this after being shot by a street thug on the way home from the junkyard. He felt all of the pain a normal person would feel and was incapacitated, but the bullet had blown a hole clean through his chest, and the substance showed patterns that a gunshot wound on flesh would create. The thug had his mouth dropped open, and went running away. He can be incapacitated severely and even rendered disabled for a time with his current ability, but not killed unless enough gunshots are supplied to blast him completely apart. He is not "bulletproof", because bullets can still affect him with pain, incapacitation, and temporary disability. For instance if he somehow lost a limb, he would feel immense pain and must make physical contact with that limb to re-attach it. He would be on the ground or suffer hindrance of speed and strength if struck by any weapon, just like a normal person, but won't be killed. He is however immune to reactionary motion from non-weaponized strikes, which makes it difficult to hide his mutation when anyone he is mugging hits back. He can be killed, however, by someone who maybe has temperature or gravity manipulation. His composure would evaporate at the temperature at which iron melts, and he would freeze and shatter at -250 degrees Fahrenheit. Gravity manipulation could potentially tear him apart into unrecognizable bits. He has noticed that the composure can deform, and can sustain artificial deformation for just a few seconds, and only with small things like slight flattening of his finger or stretching his hand size for just a moment and only by a centimeter at most. The material he is composed of is neurological in nature, meaning he possesses no "brain", his body is his brain. He has no bones to speak of, and it makes his mutation very hard to hide when he often engages in activities that could easily break a person's arm or leg. On an X-ray scan, nothing would show up besides a white mass where bones and muscles should be. Note that with a lack of muscles and vitals he can still experience tiredness, hunger, thirst, and even effects of sicknesses.

Bio: Mark Harrison was an average B+ student and simply wanted a normal life. He had a decent amount of friends, but his household wasn't the most functional. His parents didn't help him with anything and he had to make his own food from age 5, they never said "I love you." to him at all, and didn't care where he was or what he was doing. They didn't mind after their son ran off after he figured out he had superhuman capabilities, and turned to an isolated, solitary life with a bit of crime mixed in.

Mark often mugs people in town, but the police are often busy with other problems. Mark actively tries to hide his mutation by wearing clothing that covers a lot of skin and trying to flinch when he is struck by anyone. He lives in a self-built shack that still has a bit of taste on the outskirts of town, and lives off of groceries he bought with stolen money from his victims. He has a few Outsider friends and when he is not mugging people or robbing shops, he hangs out with them in the junkyard, fashioning different tools and even a few firearms from the discarded plumbing, lumber, and scrap metal they view as treasure. He knows that other people possess superpowers but not who.

Mark Harrison is an oddball even for kids with superpowers. Under what seemingly is a perfectly normal human lies what can only be described as a very strong, somewhat liquid metallic substance that can be manipulated, but only in his hands currently. He discovered he had this power when he was ambushed on the street one night when walking home, when a street thug hiding in the bushes shot him in the chest. He braced for what he thought was death, but he felt the pain of the bullet hitting, and he looked down to see a hole in his chest with the metallic substance showing. The thug had his mouth wide open, and Mark felt a sudden, extreme want for a weapon. His right hand became a small blade forged from the liquid metallic substance into a solid state. He killed the thug. He can make his hands into a variety of stabbing and slashing weapons, but not weapons like guns or mechanical knives, as he isn't able to incorporate moving parts whatsoever. If he is injured or struck in any way, he will feel the initial pain but his body will take it like nothing happened. Any cuts or holes in the skin are quickly repaired and sealed back up. It may be possible to keep him on the ground with a barrage of hits, however.

Right, so your power is going to need a lot of work. You're going to have to choose between indestructibility and shapeshifiting his hands. Secondly, he wouldn't be anywhere even close to bullet proof yet. You'll also need to write an example post as an rp example if you have no P2TM examples.

That helps. I have a personal rule I try to follow in an RP. And that is, I only post if two other players after me post. That way, it's not me being so repetitive it drives others nuts, and it also prevents me from trying keep a hopeless RP alive when few others want it. (Except if it's Infinites. Those guys in this RP are purposely hopeless, and they make me laugh).

So I can post now. (Unless I should wait for the OP to go first. Both could be interesting).

Anyone have any thoughts about what was happening in the woods, both with what the weird guy was saying, and the official response by the agents? I can tell the agents had seen this before. But I have no clue what the weird guy was talking about.

If I were to guess... The superpowers are the result of some extra-dimensional/terrestrial entity (mother). The wierd guy is aware of this and is in communication with the entity which may be manifested in the fog in some sense. The name mother makes sense as the entity is, in one sense the mother of all powered people. The agents will de power him somehow, removing his link to 'mother' in the process.

Ok, my bad. I read it again and I don't see anything about sacrifices. I thought when he was saying he would offer others up so Mother could serve them (or they could serve Mother? Wasn't sure about that) - that this was referring to sacrifices.

I mean, it still could be. But it doesn't seem like it now.

Yeah lol for some reason I'd thought I'd seen sacrifices as well when you said it. Had to read a few times to make sure.

I'm still keeping an eye on this thread though I suspect it is deceased though I'm happy to be proved wrong. If you want your char to stay alive in happy to talk about transitioning to another RP.

I suspect it is deceased too. A shame. This RP had promise and a lot of ongoing interest. I was really intrigued at how the characters were interacting, and how much interest there was. Also, how they were going to advance to the upcoming levels and use their deepening abilities.

I'm not sure about transitioning my character to a new RP just yet. Unless it's a similar RP to this, with beginners trying to figure out that they have powers and what that is going to entail for them. I know you are in a long-running superhero RP (GAU, right?) I personally was never at ease with seeing superheroes as "Gods" since I'm a Christian, and so that is one reason I stayed away from that one.

Wasn't my name, I just inherited the title. I can promise you the RP isn't anti-Christian, nor does it, within the work imply the characters are deities. I am also a practicing Christian, though I don't generally broadcast that fact.

In any case, it wasn't GAU I was thinking of. It was (another) Andromedaverse RP that had been in the back of my mind for a few weeks that would lend itself really well to the exact scenario we have here. I would definitely need help running it though as I'm a bit overextended.
