Oh absolutely not, I'vegot 1 more guy to put in my commisar. and I also realize thst I've likely got to explain some things here and there in depth to get it oked. I read the dark apostle books recently and its given me alot of ideas.

Strict enforcement of the company credo "Not one step back though the gates of hell and beyond" has seen them through some of their darkest times.

Often seen as black sheep for their dogmatic stance not just in their hierarchy but in almost every soldier. Hellwalkers are known for being physically broken in more then every turn of the word, and have been very experimental with tactics and weaponry. While now having to subsistence on heavily modifying standard imperial gear. They are always eager to try out many new and often times exotic and deadly weapons crafted by the mechanicum even more so since the horus heresy. Two tech preist are always on site to document and improve upon equipment though this itself is even more unorthodxed given the often anal temperament of any techpreist to dare tamper upon technology. This progress only due to the passing of a creative brain from techpreist to techpreist upon ones death. As well as the unwavering commitment of any and all members of the hellwalkers to risk life and limb to keep the brain in circulation it being one of the closest guarded secrets of the regiments history.

It is due to this and the ever willingness of each passing commander of the regiment to date that the mechanicum has often internally referred to the 202nd as the mechanical men. Bent on self improvement to gain any edge, there is no experiment to radical for them to not attempt at least once with their long history as allies of the mechanicum it has saved them many a time from heretical accusations by the inquisition.

Personality: cold and calculating to most the Colonel has long followed in the line of those who would command the 202nd. Though he is known to make the occasional joke or two around fellow officers not a smile will ever crack his face infront of his troops.
Bio: the 7,346th commanding Colonel of the 202nd he was selected and screened for overtaking command at the age of 54 after saving a techpreist who would grow to be one of his closest allies in his growing time as colonel from the burning hulk of a leman rus tank he had overclocked was trying to see how far he could push the lasgun mounted turret. In the end it exploded. it would cost the soon to be colonel the use of his right eye which a shard of metal pierced from the explosion as well as both his his arms to 3rd degree burns and nerve damage. He would have them replaced by the same tech priest in due time and with support from techpreist Argos Van they would run the 202nd like a ruthless and efficient machine

It would be at the age of 120 he would save his bodyguard an ogryn by the name of Obiron Droom, in a fight against orks Obiron's ogryn squad was isolated for weeks before they where rescued and absorbed by the 202nd the rest has stayed between Sgt Droom and the colonel ever since.

One of the most lighthearted of the entire regiment mostly due to him and his fighters having been brought in only about ten years ago. Eager to crack a joke and have fun with his duties hes often all the laughing giant of the 202nd, he loves it.
Bio: Sgt Obiron Droom is an ogryn who grew up on the frontier of the imperium. With little choice other then to join the imperial guard, gathering together a small band of brothers so to speak. He would go on to fight in a number of campaigns half of which they hardly remember some due to concussions. Along the way the ogryan was promoted to sgt and would lead his men in a charge against orcish forces getting cut off along the way. His fate would become intertwined with the 202nd ever since they where saved that rainy day.

Bio: Sent to the hellwalkers like many to curious techpreist before him he has spent his long life tinkering and experimenting with the weapons given to the hellwalkers. Though his spirit was not prepared or expecting of the great secret the regiment held. The only reason arghos in fact did not meet the same fate as most mechanicus who spend time with the hellwalkers is due to the bravery of the now colonel. Who pulled the burned but still living body of the tech preist, from a leman rus tank he was attempting to place a lasgun cannon ontop of. It would have been his end due to the resulting explosion, however after being pulled from and surviving the wreckage nearly 70 percent of his body was replaced with mechanical parts. It was also after this survival the then acting colonel gifted arghos with the thinking brain, thus also began his and his saviors rise in the thanks of 202nd

Personality: a strange man by many accounts, despite being in the walkers for nearly an entire century as well as his commissary duties it had made the mad oddly gleeful especially in delivering executions. He is as likely to praise his fellow soldier as blow his brains out. It keeps most on edge when speaking to him another fact he revels.
Bio: Born under the name Yuria Kane he grew up on the bleak world which had spawned the Hellwalkers same as the colonel. Though where the colonels view turned dark, Yuria would come to see the bleakness as a chance for opportunity and joined the imperial guard as a commisar.

His training days where filled with beatings, interrogation, and other unspeakable horror yet never the less he emerged a more eager killer. He found his favorite method of murder to be that of incineration watching the blood boil from the inside of traitors and foe alike.

He would be picked up and integrated into the hellwalker core where his odds sense of brutality found its place keeping soldiers in line. He would go on to customize and establish his own command tank he and the colonel will share into battle at most times. He has proven a valuable tool in keeping the regiments secrets as well as moral.

The 4th Holsturn Division is an amalgamation of the remnants of six previous regiments raised in Holsturn: the 11th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th, as well as those of three regiments each from other worlds for a total of nine (the 31st Nictrallis, 152nd Rausbeurge, and 64th Fromagiere). So great were those losses of these regiments, most of them had been reduced to little more than a company or two in size. Their full-strength size were then, for the most part, altered to battalions.

To preserve the naming scheme of the regiments and as an experiment in command and control, the division’s sub-units are divided into brigades wherein individual battalions can be assigned or removed as needed.

All nine regiments were involved in fighting against a Chaos incursion in an obscure star system called Xonthilleum. They fought there for almost a decade and a half with mostly unremarkable, if solid, service much like the rest of the other guard regiments deployed there. This would come to an end with a major Chaos offensive that sent them reeling back and barely holding the line until more reinforcements arrived.

The 13th Holsturn, considered the unluckiest of the regiments, was amongst those hit the hardest as they had completely lost most of their elements in the first line and what remained was nearly grinded to dust in the meatgrinder of the second line. Several danger-close artillery barrages were the only reason why they were not wiped out entirely before being pulled out of line for the rest of the offensive.

The 16th Holsturn suffered the lightest casualties of the non-artillery regiments as they were located entirely in the second line at the start of the offensive. Even then, they only escaped destruction by being practicing elastic defense, developing a good level of coordination with the 17th when conducting counterattacks, thus avoiding the full brunt of any Chaos attacks as well as simply having more men than their neighbouring regiments and thus was much less fragile.

The 152nd Rausbeurge were originally stationed in the first line during the start of the offensive but made a panicked retreat to the second line where they fought off their pursuers with the help the 16th Holsturn and other Rausbeurge regiments. Shamed and disgraced by their fellow homeworlders because of their retreat they were ordered to never give an inch again. Repeatedly suffering heavy losses in both defence and counterattacks, they would merge into other regiments of their homeworld after every action until only one regiment was left. By some strange twist of fate, the original men of the 152nd were the largest of the surviving Rausbeurgers by far. Knowing that their homeworld would never forgive them and that they were desperate to redeem themselves through death, they were convinced by the 16th Holsturn to follow them back for reorganisation instead, using the fact that the 152nd merged with the remnants of one of their battalions and it would be rather rude to waste the men they loaned in pointless martyrdom. The 16th would restore the name of the 152nd and rescind the order to stand their ground at all costs since in their opinion, the 152nd had more than served their penance for more time than was necessary, and there was no vindictive officer left to tell them no.

The women of the 31st Nictrallis were located in the third line, but suffered heavy casualties in mismanaged counterattacks and their lack of heavy weapons which quickly reduced them to impotence. Still wishing to contribute due to their devoutness to the Emperor, they would, with their limited numbers, harass Chaos forces day and night either by volunteering for trench raids or becoming a nuisance with sniper fire, thus honing their skills in infiltration and marksmanship. By the end of the offensive, they received news that their homeworld had been lost to Chaotic corruption and was subject to exterminatus, orphaning the greatly reduced regiment. Eager to join their loved ones, they were about to volunteer for one last charge when the Holsturners offered to take them in, persuading them that they could memorialise their lost home in someway while in Holsturn.

The 15th and 18th Holsturn were in reserve, and together with the 64th Fromagiere (which had gotten themselves thoroughly lost and decided to follow the Holsturners), launched an impromptu charge which prevented Chaos forces from overrunning a section of the second line and allowed the rest of the reserves to plug the breach. The price they paid was heavy for this "deathride" however, as the 15th and 18th were so depleted they had to be merged to barely make up a squadron while the 64th was presumed destroyed by their homeworld (survivors eventually filtered back to the rally points of the Holsturn regiments within two days but they were still written off despite reforming). They were pulled out of line and sat out for the rest of the offensive.

The 11th and 17th Holsturn gave supporting fire to the beleaguered defenders desperately holding the line throughout the entire offensive. The sheer weight of opposing fire was often enough to suppress them however, and many pieces were knocked-out in vicious duels with enemy guns. By the end, they were only a shadow of their former selves, but had gained precious experience and an urgency to develop effective counter-battery techniques.


By the time that the Chaos offensive stemmed and the Imperium launched its own counteroffensive, all nine regiments were so battered that Holsturn withdrew its regiments to replenish their fighting strength and to reorganise them into a new command structure like they had done for their 12 previous regiments.

The division’s present deployment in Calmora is their first under the new organisation.

I'm not well-versed on WH40k lore nor have I played the tabletop, but the setting has piqued my interest for a while and the RP looks fun.
