He sees the two and raises an eyebrow. The girl was...interesting to say the least. A demon of some sort. He thought for a moment, what could he do to make his day more interesting. The man looked older than him. Diva puts the knife back where he keeps it hidden and walks up to the group. "You two interest me, mind giving me your names?" His hands rest in his pockets and he sits there, letting the rain fall on himself, his blonde hair a mess as always.

Rin(Ayato) and Taka

"That's not a very good way to introduce yourself," the man slightly turned his head towards Diva, "we are not here for your entertainment and we are not obligated to tell you anything about our--"

"His name is Ayato," the floating demon placed her hand over his mouth, "who are you?" The demon sounded sweet and kind yet there was still an air of mischief about her, and the man had a regal feel to him.

Diva
"I like her, she's smart, and looks good. You on the other hand, should really pay more attention to who you speak to, I am the prince, Diva Mayato." Diva looks at Rin for a bit, pausing before speaking again. "An interesting way you carry yourself Ayato, considering you basically walk around with a flag over your head. Are you trying to attract attention and make people notice you? Trying to strut your way around, bemuse some people, and then maybe charge some money for something? Not that I'd blame you for charging money, the girl could make you a lot in some fields."

He moved Taka's hand away from his mouth, "You think I care if your royalty? I don't care if you are a prince or even if you were a god! I hold myself in high standards not for the approval of others, I don't care for it! I hold myself high because it helps put people like you into place, being born into royalty doesn't make you any better than a commoner." Taka sighed as she gave up trying to stop Ayato from talking.

"Princey, it's best not to make him angry. Even I can't do anything about it at that point," she maneuvered her way behind Ayato.

He remains silent for a moment, not used to people talking to him in this manner. Then he realized something the demon said "Princey? What? The only prince in this conversation is me, unless that's some cute pet name you have for him." he smiles to himself. "Wait, it's a pet name isn't it? Little Princey and his demon? Sounds like a child's book. Is that why you have this whole little demeanor? You're trying to keep a dignity when you're being called pet names by a demon girl? Is that why you're trying to act big and bad? Trust me pal, you've got some ways to go if you really want to be intimidating." Diva's right hand rests over his knife's hidden location in his jacket. Only he knew he carried it. It was a short blade, but could cut deep. He kept it as a safety precaution, and as a possible way of threatening someone. "If I were you." he says utilizing his charm talk now "I'd ask for forgiveness. It's frowned upon to anger a prince you know." His words settle on Ayato like a mist, they have a calming effect, sure, he could shake it off pretty quickly if he remained focused, but his words feel so good, most people find them very intoxicating.

"I don't have pet names for Ayato? I was talking to you, when when Ayato gets mad he begins to act on [Instinct]," she let out a giggle as she floated by the prince, "Someone like you wouldn't know that though? Having been sheltered in a large palace, and away from the horrors of the world." Her finger would dance around his chin as she circled him.

"Taka, that's enough. We didn't come here to enrage the monarchy, though it wouldn't bother me if we did," it wasn't entirely clear but Ayato was slightly calmed by the princes magic. The blue barrier above him shifted to a slight red. "Now if your done harassing your subject, your majesty. I'm going to take my leave," his voice changed to a mocking tone as he walked away. Taka quickly followed after him.

Ryobei

Jasmine Taulra's long white hair flowed elegantly as the wind blew, signaling the beginning of the winter season. Her window was open, and she looked out over the massive imperial capital. The fog of the city blocked much of it from view, but the city was no different than when she last visited years ago. Ryobei was still her home, and the status as a noble afforded her enough safety and distance from the commoners that she normally would be ignorant of their plight. However, Jasmine spent her years in captivity by reading the numerous Yuko Taisha books that floated about. With so many years worth of free time, she had amassed a grand set of knowledge in various subjects, ranging from Sensory and Medical Magic, to the border wars fought in nearby lands. Reading was the only thing that kept her sane while she was hidden near the Pazendai Mountains, and now that she was free, Jasmine decided to see how true the words of those stories and legends really were.

Her blank and expressionless white eyes peered through the dense fog, before her Sensory Magic alerted her to a strange Aura Signature in the city. Surprised that her sensory abilities suddenly activated, Jasmine honed in on him. This mage had an Aura Signature unlike anything she's seen before. In fact, it had such a unique essence that Jasmine was sure this was one of the Mayato family's mages. Perhaps even a Prince. As she thought about it more, Jasmine realized she never did meet the Three Princes or get anywhere close to the Kosen Machi whenever her father was around. Jasmine brought her head back into her room, and looked around. She didn't see her father, and she didn't detect his presence nearby either. Letting her curiosity get the best of her, Jasmine walked back to the window, and jumped out, landing softly on the wet ground.

Jasmine didn't have any conventional forms of magic besides being a Sensor and Medical Mage. Despite the fact that both her parents hailed from bloodlines with Wind Magic, she inherited none of it. Her main power was the Esoteric Art of Illusions, and with Ryobei's constant rain, she could use her illusory abilities to cloak herself as she approached the Prince. A white aura covered Jasmine for a few seconds as her appearance changed drastically. Her long white hair turned into to black, being far shorter and now covering her forehead. Her hair, now black, extended down her cheeks. Jasmine changed her monk outfit to match that of a noble, as she now wore a robe, whose sleeves extended past her waist. This was the traditional clothing of the Salyans, and now that she wouldn't stand out, Jasmine decided to rush towards the prince, as she was sure this opportunity would not be handed to her again.

While she couldn't enhance her speed with Wind Magic, Jasmine's training forced her into a state where she would be able to run extremely fast, and with the fog and her illusion concealing her, she was able to reach her destination within minutes. As she stopped to catch her breath, she noticed she was near a gambling den. The aura of the Prince came ever closer, as she began to think about which one it may be. Jasmine heard rumors that the Princes didn't have any interest in inheriting the throne, which was one of the main reason's the late Emperor called for a transition to democracy. Whatever the reason was for this, the princes were now of prime concern for Jasmine as she now saw the chance to speak with one of the land's most prestigious mages. As the prince approached the casino, Jasmine maintained her false appearance and greeted him.

''Huh? oh, hi can't say I've seen you around before." with his hands in his pockets and his casual way of speaking, he doesn't seem very prince like at all. His clothes aren't the most formal, and his hair is a wet mess. He doesn't wear robes, opting instead for a much less traditional outfit. He looks her up and down. "Who might you be, seeing as you already recognize me as a prince, though, specifically my name is Diva."

Jasmine Taulra

Jasmine was so shocked that she couldn't speak for several seconds. This was the Diva, the Imperial Prince, and he looked no different than an average commoner. Judging by his reaction, he isn't a Sensor. That's good, she thought to herself. So, with Diva right in front of her, what was she going to do? Jasmine didn't think of herself as impulsive, but she didn't think this over. She couldn't tell him her father was the Grand Imperial Arbitrator. He had made that fact very clear. Jasmine wasn't even supposed to be outside the estate right now. However, she could still say she was a court noble, as that wasn't a lie nor was it directly incriminating her.

"Umm...I..." She stuttered as she stumbled to find words to say. The fact that she put on an illusory appearance meant that whatever happened here wouldn't be held against her later, as Diva wouldn't make the connection. Then a thought came to her. Jasmine bowed her head, and spoke softly."I just wanted to say I'm sorry for the loss of your father- I mean, the Emperor. As a servant of one of the Kosen Machi, I hear news about politics here and there."

He sighs, while he didn't want to admit it, he did miss his father to some extent. It's like an old proverb said, 'We ignore it while we have it, and mourn it when it's gone.' He thought. He puts his hand on Jasmine's shoulder. "Thanks, and I truly mean that. I don't like to dwell on the past though, it's a...rough subject. Whose servant are you in the Kosen Machi anyways? Some of them are never happy to see me, and man, is Xavi an example. I'd tell you a story, but I don't think you came here to hear me talk and tell me that you were sorry for my loss, though, once again I appreciate it. Am I needed or something?"

Maurikael's Estate in Ryobei

Maurikael Cheristi

A servant knocked on the door of Jasmine's room. After asking if Jasmine was there, the servant opened the door slowly and noticed she was gone. Fearfully, the servant ran to tell Maurikael what happened. The Imperial Arbitrator was in his own chamber, reading the judicial reports his lower deputies handed to him. When he saw the servant's stress stricken face, he sighed. "What's wrong?"

"Your daughter, Imperial Arbitrator. She's not in her room, and the other Sensors haven't detected her presence anywhere near the Estate."

"What?" Maurikael slammed his face on the table. Jasmine was always a timid woman. Where did she suddenly gain the courage to do this? "Call for Sarin. We're going to find her immediately."

Sarin was in the Kosen Machi Palace when another of Maurikael's abundant servants came to tell him of what happened. The meeting itself was not particularly interesting, and with other contacts in the court, Sarin's absence wouldn't be felt. He put his hooded cloak on and walked out. After a few minutes, a dove landed on his shoulder, with a letter on its bad. Sarin took the letter and read it. "Great," he said sarcastically. "If she's out in the city, she's probably exploring."

The servant who retrieved Sarin was a Sensor himself, and they were able to find Jasmine easily, as her Esoteric Aura Signature wasn't hidden by her Illusion Magic. In fact, it only exacerbated the Aura Signature. But as they got closer to her, the Sensor relayed even more vital information to Sarin. Jasmine was speaking to the Imperial Prince, Diva. Maurikael had originally planned on using Devil's Whisper on Diva later on, but it's been years since she last used the ability. Maurikael's sealing magic had locked that power away to prevent Jasmine from using it to escape the Yuko Taisha imprisonment, and now that the opportunity was upon them...

Sarin coincidentally ran into the Imperial Arbitrator as they were searching for his daughter. When they were able to get re-situated, Sarin said, "Sir, it's been a while since we used your daughter's power. Perhaps a little experiment could be done?"

Maurikael, shocked at first, now had a devilish smirk. His sealing magic also acted as a Cursed Seal, allowing him to control Jasmine at any time.

Jasmine Taulra

Jasmine noticed Diva's arm on her shoulder, and her Sensory Magic detected a small hint of sadness. While she didn't have a full opinion on any of the court nobles, her first interaction with him made her rather empathetic towards them. It must have been hard, being a member of the Kosen Machi. She responded to his comments. ""Your Highness, I work for the-"

Jasmine's words were lost as Maurikael assumed control over her. The change wouldn't be reflected with anything physical, besides the giant seal on her back. Jasmine's clothes always concealed it, but her entire backside was covered, from the neck to the waist, with a series of symbols.

She looked at Diva once more. The experiment would commence."Well, Your Highness, I work for the Imperial Affairs Ministry. They say that the State Chancellor is being investigated by the Machi Yin. They ask that you visit the Arbitration Censorate. As for why, I'm not sure."

She looked at Diva once more. The experiment would commence."Well, Your Highness, I work for the Imperial Affairs Ministry. They say that the State Chancellor is being investigated by the Machi Yin. They ask that you visit the Arbitration Censorate. As for why, I'm not sure."

Diva
He blinks for a second and nods..."Yeah, sure, Arbitration Censorate. I guess we'll find out why when I get there huh?" He walks off without talking to Jasmine further. More than halfway to his destination there he starts yelling at himself for not asking for the girl's name. "ALWAYS HAPPENS! GET SIDETRACKED, AND I DON'T GET HER NAME!" He stops to catch his breath, not noticing he was running.

Jasmine Taulra

Jasmine was in a daze while Diva ran off. By the time she came back to reality, she noticed she was on her knees, breathing heavily and clutching her chest. She struggled for air as her Illusion Magic wore off, and within seconds, the elaborate disguise she put on for herself was undone. She started to look around, but her vision was blocked by something near her forehead. "What the hell?" She muttered. "Why....why did I suddenly lose so much Essence?" Jasmine started coughing profusely as she thought back on what just occurred. She remembered returning to Ryobei and her father's estate, sneaking off, talking to Diva-

"That's it!" She exclaimed. "Father must have known I was here. So that means...he used my forbidden technique while I still had the illusion going. That explains my sudden loss of Essence." Jasmine patted her head. "My hair is back to normal now as well. I hope no one saw."

Jasmine was also a Medical Mage, and used a few breathing techniques to calm herself as she used what remained of her Essence. Her Aura naturally had healing properties, so while she couldn't restore the Aura lost, she could lessen the effects of it. Any Sensors nearby would detected Jasmine's Aura, and also seen it snaking its way around her. Jasmine managed to calm herself as she looked into the sky. The rain droplets landed on her monk outfit, and as Jasmine tried to figure out what to do, she saw Sarin.

"Being a Sensor and Medical Mage, I'm sure you're aware that your Essence will replenish itself. If you still feel disoriented, I have some Aura Restoration Pills. Now, follow me."

Maurikael's Estate

The Imperial Arbitrator stood on the stairs leading up to the Censorate's Palace. The complex was painted silver and black. Before the staircase was a long path, with rain dragon statues placed on either side. The Censorate's Palace was among the grandest in Ryobei, which Maurikael himself had planned out. If he was to become Emperor, he needed to be in a place that looked like an Emperor's home. A servant came to him and said, "Arbitrator, Diva is on his way here."

Maurikael smiled. So, Devil's Whisper still works exactly as it did a decade ago? If he's on his way here, then that means the twice-a-day limit of her power also applies. We'll need it later on, I'm sure of it. His thoughts led him to experience a sudden rush of excitement. With Diva under his control, and Arrindor refusing to recognize his birthright, Maurikael had the chance to seize a once in a life time opportunity.

Diva
He arrives a few moments after the servant alerts Maurikael. "So, what's up? Why'd you want to drag me away from my schedule. I'm pretty strict on keeping a great schedule." he says smirking, knowing full well he didn't adhere to any such thing. "I had some exercise planned, I wanted to talk to some of my pals in the Kosen Machi, and all that good stuff." he pushes some of his hair out of his face and adjusts his jacket.

Rin(Ayato) and Taka

"So that's what the royalty is like in this place?" Ayato shook his head and turned to Taka who was floating along beside him.

"If they're all as self centered as that child was then I'm surprised there hasn't been a revolution," she chuckled.

"It doesn't matter, the emperor is dead, and if the princes are behaving like that then there is no way this place will last much longer," Ayato smiled and looked up towards the palace in the distance, "A monarchy soon to fall that's all it is." Taka nodded and loosely wrapped her arms around Ayato's neck. They continued to walk around the streets of Ryobei.

Machi Yin Guards

The Machi Yin had stations all around the empire. They were especially abundant in the Imperial Capital, the home to all the major government institutions. The guards were the eyes and ears of the Emperor, or whoever was powerful enough to control them. The Arbitration Censorate was by definition, the law making agency, but the State and Imperial Affairs Ministries also had a lot of influence on the elite guards.

One guard was a new recruit. He was conscripted into the army a few years ago and rose through the ranks to reach this status. He sat in a post overlooking the capital. As usual, he couldn't see anything with all the fog, but with Sensors nearby, it wouldn't be an issue. The city was rather devoid of crime anyway, so the guard wasn't particularly concerned about anything worthwhile occurring. What was interesting, was something he overheard. With such a dull job, rumors were able to spread daily. This time, it was something about the Imperial Princes. Around the corner, he heard voices speaking in whispers.

"I saw that incessant gambler talking with a young woman in front of the gambling den the other day. He ran off and made her cry. Probably broke her heart."

"That's our Prince for you. He doesn't care for all the....servants he has access to. They're just ways to have some fun in this city. No wonder the Emperor wanted to transition this place into a democracy. Can you imagine that guy leading us?"

The two laughed as they consumed their beer. "By the way, I think they're still out there. The Prince, I mean. There's an Aura Signature that's remarkably similar to the imperial family's."

"Really? I thought you said they left earlier?"

"Yes. In fact," the gossiping guard's face turned serious. "This Aura feels so similar, yet so different. I've never felt this one before."

The original Machi Yin soldier who was listening in on the conversation looked outside. He did remember hearing stories about how one of the top imperial officials had a child years ago. However he didn't hear much of it again. Could aura be connected to it? The guard, whose name was Sumani, continued to peer into the city streets, and saw two people approaching.

The gossiper saw Sumani and approached him. "Those two mages are quite bizarre. One has Aura similar to the imperial family's, and the other has one that is similar to that of a summoning. I think we should question them, sir."

Sumani was in charge of the unit here, and thought that it was for the best that they investigate. He ordered the two to follow him as they walked down the stairs and onto the streets, in front of Rin and Taka (the guards don't know them, of course). Sumani asked, "You are approaching a Machi Yin checkpoint. Any further progress takes you to the court nobles houses. May I ask what business you have in this district?"

Jasmine Taulra

Jasmine took the Aura Restoration Pill that Sarin offered her. She was still distressed over what happened, but as the pills did their job, Jasmine sat back in the carriage as it traversed Ryobei's smooth wide streets. A Medical Mage was next to her, providing a bit of relief.

"She's still out of it, huh?" Sarin said to himself. "We can question it later." He directed the driver to take the carriage back to Maurikael's estate.

Maurikael Cheristi

Maurikael saw Diva approaching him just as the servant scurried away. He takes a few seconds to collect himself, as the prince looked just like a commoner. Maurikael questioned why a man with so much power would spend his days doing nothing productive instead of seizing control of the empire. But that would change, as he now knew that Jasmine's Devil's Whisper ability still worked. He could use it on Diva to control him, allowing Maurikael to become either the Emperor himself, or gain enough influence that he would have a role that was synonymous with it.

"Your Highness, I am Maurikael Cheristi, the Grand Imperial Arbitrator. The Machi Yin are currently investigating the assassination of the Emperor. As the head of justice, it is my duty to allow the Machi Yin to investigate without impedance. You are not under suspicion, Your Highness. We just need to ensure your safety and get justice for your father."

He yawns before responding "Yeah, yeah, my safety, yada yada, I don't get what's the big deal with my safety here though. I mean, I am my own security. I'm armed." he straightens his jacket a little bit more and adjusts his hidden knife, trying to make himself look on at least somewhat better. He wipes some of the rain off of his face as he pushes more of his unruly hair back. He sighs after a bit, giving up on keeping his hair out of his face. "I'm all for the justice part though, I mean, whoever killed my father deserves what's coming for them." he thinks for a moment. "If you only wanted to alert me to this, you would have sent a messenger, obviously you have more important matters to discuss...correct? Or are you so impatient you needed me to run here? I can't say I'm pleased with having to do the unexpected and unplanned exercise, especially after I didn't get that girl's name."

The two were approached by a group of guards, one had the feel of a leader about him and Rin found no harm in answering his question, "I have no business being anywhere. I'm just strolling about the city for I have just arrived and would like to have a look around." Even now Ayato gave off a regal vide, just being around him felt like standing near a king. "Are citizens not allowed to walk the streets the nobles live on or did something else cause you to stop me?" Rin tilted his head as he returned a question to the guard.

Machi Yin Guards

Sumani took a sidewards glance towards the Sensor in his unit, who looked incredibly nervous. He turned back towards the two mages, and said "The assassination of the Emperor has prompted the Machi Yin to exercise extreme caution with any newcomers." Truth be told, Sumani only stopped the duo because the Sensor brought up the idea that one of them was connected to a top ranking imperial official. And now, standing in front of them, the Sensor could tell they were not ordinary people. There was a strange, almost majestic aura bout him. So wile the Machi Yin were instructed to keep watch over the court nobles' estates, they were not in any major danger. And the Sensor knew full well that they could take care of themselves.

"The nobles are also quite protective and wary of any commoners approaching their lands. It's far easier to explain your presence near them if they know the Machi Yin have personally met with you. Otherwise, I doubt this will be any more than a routine check-up." Sumani made sure to steer clear of directly answering the question, but wanted to observe the mages for a little longer. "My name is Sumani, and as you can see, I'm a member of the imperial guard. We only seek to protect this city, and we are not accusing you of anything, nor are we able to make any moves without strong evidence to back it up."

Maurikael Cheristi

The Imperial Arbitrator stood under a balcony of the Censorate's Palace. He saw the rain drops fall rhythmically around him, and onto Diva. The knife the prince showed would be little concern to most assassins who had the audacity to attempt to take out the imperial family. Maurikael simply nodded and moved on to last parts of Diva's words. While the city's rain was always among the most intriguing aspects of the city, the game of politics reigned supreme. Even now, Maurikael saw he was being tested by the Prince, but Diva's statements also proved to be instrumental in figuring out the specifics of Jasmine's powers. He's aware that this impromptu meeting was unannounced, and he retains memory of what transpired right beforehand. Not only that, but Devil's Whisper also has him perform the action exactly as described, and once the task was done, he'll immediately retain his free will. Now all I need to know is whether Jasmine was using an illusion to hide her appearance. If she wasn't then that means any further uses of her ability will cause great suspicion.

A few drops of sweat went down the cheeks of Maurikael as he made notes of the side effects of Devil's Whisper. "Your Highness, in order to provide the safety we strive to protect, a Machi Yin guard will be assigned to you, along with a servant." Maurikael planned on using Jasmine as Diva's servant once he became aware of the details of their meeting. "For now, I humbly request that you enter the Censorate's Palace in order to discuss these arrangements."

As they walked into the Censorate's Palace Diva continued the conversation. "I don't really need a guard, the servant could easily double up as that if you really want to give me one. One person following me around is bad enough, but two? I mean, a bit excessive don't you think? Thinking on it, I don't even really need a servant, I mean, I don't use them in my everyday life besides to wake me up, make me food, and so forth...." But wait.....if it were a female servant....that wouldn't be too much of a problem...I wouldn't have to try to make my life as private...it could work out wonderfully "But I'll trust your judgement on the last part on one condition, the servant is female. I have no need to explain myself on that last part, just know that is the condition." Now that he's out of the rain, he takes off his jacket and uses the inside of it to dry his hair, and holds it in his hand afterwards.

People are strange, when you're a stranger.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Now it wasn't particularly his idea to come out here, but the further he went from the Zemlya Vechnogo Snega (Colloquially referred too as just Snega, or on the mainland called "The Frozen Horde") the more excited he seemed to get. Something about the warmth in the air, the smell of fruit and blossoming trees, the way the air held such moisture, it seemed so exotic and refreshing. He had underestimated the heat, even as others would consider this the beginning of the Cold Season, every season was far more brutal in the north. His clothes were heavy set, inlaid with reindeer pelt and woven into a woolen mesh that layered his armor with the pelts and his cloak. He lightly brushed the reindeer he was riding on, and it almost mewled with delight as it shook its head, ornate coverings and jewelry tinkling with every step. His entourage was not large, but any group of Northerners would catch the attention of mainlands, and vice-versa on the rare occasions the government bothered to send envoys northbound.

Nemelan raised a relaxed finger to a large, almost obscenely so, stone set of structures in the distance. Such architectural feats seemed almost unnatural to the group of young men and their reindeer, and as they closed yet another pace between them and the gargantuan man-made mountain, Nemelan spoke in a smooth, low voice. "The capitol lies forward. Be on the best of behavior. You represent Snega in the wilds of the South. We all know how different it is here, behave yourselves, and soon enough, we will get what we deserve." The group of mean laugh jauntily, and the group picks up the pace, quickly reaching the Gates of Ryobei.

Nemelan was livid. "Taxes!" He practically screamed in his native tongue to his compatriots. "We walk in, a diplomatic envoy to our own capitol and they think we are tributes? Some savages come to kowtow to the throne of a dead man? The offense! I swear if he wasn't already rotting i'd-" he was quickly shushed by another member of the party.

"Khanzadeh please, contain yourself! The people are staring, and if we have such hassle already we don't want to explain our purpose from a cellar."

Nemelan's eyes were glowing a deep-seated purple. A tell-tale sign he was considering summoning at that exact moment, but quickly tabled the thought as he was brought to reason be an associate. "Yes.. I suppose bureaucracy must still thrive somewhere, if not in our homeland. But whomever has taken that corpses place will be hearing of this."

They sallied forth towards the palace, and upon approaching the Palace Gates had shown their papers the the guards, who hurriedly let the Northmen in. At this moment, the 8 gentlemen as exotic as they could be, were standing in the middle of court.

Rin(Ayato) and Taka

"If that is why then do whatever," Rin shrugged as he responded to the guards. "I wouldn't want people to feel discomforted by my presence." Taka also floated to the front and spoke.

"If you guys would prefer I can return to my catalyst while we walk about the nobles district. It could be upsetting to some, with me being a demon and all."

Kosen Machi Palace

Arrindor found himself blanking out while the meeting of the nation's top nobles conversed over their next course of action. He never enjoyed politics, which was the main reason he thought the Emperor wanted a transition to democracy. Nightmare's words earlier sounded alarm bells, as Arrindor knew he he needed to pay far more attention to the workings of the court, but it was so difficult for him to do so. Arrindor rubbed his hands through his short, brown hair hair as he contemplated his next actions. However, he didn't get far as the doors of the chamber opened, revealing 8 men who suddenly appeared in the middle of the palace.

The Prince was shocked for a moment as he attempted to figure out who these people were. After further examination, he saw how foreign their clothing was. The traditional Salyan wardrobes looked incredibly different than the clothes these men wore. Arrindor realized that the group was from the north. He recalled learning about them years ago. The islands they inhabited were effectively autonomous from the rest of the empire, although that was also true of the cities of Sanri and Azukana. Arrindor's mentor told him that these mages championed for the independence of their respective lands, and with the Kasaran Sea separating them from the mainland, it was difficult for the imperial government to exert control over them, especially since they couldn't even control the Jikosuro or Kamuri families. Arrindor watched in awe as he saw the Frozen Horde for the first time. Besides their unannounced attendance, it was clear they had something to say. Arrindor was rather bored himself, and decided to say something.

He removed his cloak, revealing his imperial gold and and red outfit. As the Prince, he still had the power to do pretty much whatever he wanted without consequence, although that would change soon. He turned towards the Frozen Horde members. "What would you like to discuss?"

Censorate's Palace

Maurikael forced himself to remain stoic to Diva's words. He knew exactly why he wanted a female servant, but that would fall neatly in the Arbitrator's plans. As they walked through the grand palace, Maurikael responded. "That's fine, your highness. A female servant will be provided to you by tomorrow."

Even as he said this, Maurikael wasn't sure if Jasmine would be able to see the Prince by the next day. While he saw the side effects of her power on the target, he still had yet to see how Devil's Whisper affected the caster. With so many uncertainties, Maurikael had to play his cards right as he slowly unraveled his plan. "I also know a Machi Yin guard who is best fit for this. His name is Sumani, and beginning tomorrow, both he and the servant will accompany you."

The Censorate's Palace had intricately placed silver and black floor tiles, forming the appearance of huge rain dragon. The pillars that supported the ceiling was painted white and silver, a recurring theme throughout any building commissioned by the Censorate. Maurikael preferred a simple color scheme in his palaces, which remained in stark contrast with the exotic Imperial Palace. The Grand Arbitrator walked the Prince through the palace and to a large conference room. Maurikael sat down and pulled out a few papers, which he handed to Diva. "These are the immediate findings of the investigation as of today. As we conduct more inquiries in cooperation with the Imperial Affairs Ministry, we will give you regular updates. Do you have any questions?"

Machi Yin checkpoint

Sumani listened to the duo and quickly conversed with his fellow guards. The more information they had on these two, the better it would be in the long run. He turned towards Taka and said, "That may be for the best. Our main concern here is keeping the peace, and the nobles are also quite hostile to outsiders. As Machi Yin guards, we can only suggest to you what we believe is the best. However, it is still up to you. Either way, I believe we have held you for far too long."

Sumani bowed his head and went back towards the checkpoint tower, with the other two Machi Yin following him. As they left the streets and traversed the stairs, Sumani asked a question that was bothering him since they met the two mages. "What are your conclusions on them? Especially the summoner."

"Sir, I have a strong feeling that they are connected to the imperial family in some way, and now that I had the chance to examine their Aura Signatures, I know something's up. I expect to see more developments from the Kosen Machi in the coming days, and we'll probably hear from those two again."

Xavi
He hadn't noticed Arrindor's initial arrival, and was shocked to see him now. "Thought he wasn't into politics" he murmured to himself. He has to act a bit sooner than expected now that Arrindor himself is here. He needs to get the vast majority of the people here to support crowning Arrindor as the next Emperor or run the risk of failure, something he wasn't known for. He sighs and looks at the 8 men who came in again. "Hope they haven't come with some nonsense, I've had enough of that today."
Diva
He looked over the papers for a bit before answering. "Just the one, how much is this effecting my day to day life? I mean, I have things I do, and, not all of it is public. The guard for example," Who I might just dump off at the palace "how involved is he supposed to be." And how involved are you? No one is this nice to me or concerned about my health and well-being unless they want something from me, I know that all too well.

Rin(Ayato) and Taka

Rin nodded to the guard and moved a bit of his cloak out of the way on his left hip revealing a sword hilt. The hilt was that of a katana and there was a strange blue gem on the handle. With a brief flash of light Taka had vanished and the jewel on the handle of the blade had grown clouded. He covered the weapon once more and continued to walk towards the nobles district.

Kosen Machi Palace
Nemelan Koryaks
"Manners Maketh the Man"

Nemelan stared down the man infront of him. Handsome, Gold and Red gilded clothing, obviously of noble birth. He paints a picture of poise and leadership, and deduction may point to royalty.

"What would you like to discuss?"

Nemelan stepped forward slowly, looking the Prince up and down. The inflection annoyed him. The lack of respect annoyed him. The clothes, the culture, almost everything about the mainland annoyed him. But for now he'd play nice.

He forces a smile to the young man. About his age, they may have been friends in another life. "Apparently formality is a concept lost in translation." His accent is thick, and almost harsh in his consonants as he speaks. He stamps his foot, and one of the men with him unfolds a thin piece of hide on which a document is scrawled out in a language foreign to the Prince aside from books and ancient legal scrolls. Neleman brings the hide to eye level, and translates for the Prince.

"The Imperial Province of Snega hereby invokes their right to Imperial Representation. The Khan has issued a diplomatic envoy, headed by the Khanzadeh Nemelan Koryaks, to be stationed in the Kosen Machi Palace until further notice, for the purpose of representing the causes and voicing the grievances of our people on the Mainland. Snega also hereby invokes their right to nominate a candidate for the Kosen Machi."

Nemelan then mock bows and once again makes eye contact with the prince. "We will be seeing a lot of each other."
