After doing some math, the Soviet Union (in this time period) has 260,000 troops in Eastern Europe while NATO has 97,000 troops in West Germany without France. The Soviets have a 2.68 to 1 advantage.

Going off the Hellenic Army in WW2 Irl, you would have a total of 265,000 soldiers, 125,000 regulars and 140,000 National Guard. While the the Union of Socialist Baltic Republics along with Yugoslavia combined would have 452,000 troops. With your mountainous terrain, you stand a good chance against any communist in your immediate vicinity.

I have more troops than that, I did some calculations and my base military is around 260,000

Factoring this in, 562,000 troops vs 265,000: 2.12 to 1 disadvantage for Greece

And 3 more days before the Suez Crisis could boil over into war between Egypt and the UK according to IC timeline. I dont speak for the U.S., but I would support SAOTO fully.

Least this time, Israel need not get involved. I'm quite content in my current positions and should remain that way for some time.

I've already figured out my Peace Terms if i won:

1. The Sinai Peninsula will become a demilitarized zone

2. The Suez Canal will remain in British hands, but Egypt would get the profits from the canal as war reparations

3. Alexandria would be ceded to the British

4. All British Forces will withdraw from Egypt

I'm planning on sending the British 5th Army, with the escort of the Home Fleet, to Egypt. Try me.

BTW Red, just cause it concerns your last post, in this timeline, Sweden rejected pretty much all refugees during the war, so most of those people who found safe harbor there OTL died trying to flee across the North Sea. It's a large part of why the Swedes are were so hesistant to be involved.

What's the current situation of the British army in Africa?

All of them are under command of Field Marshal Archibald Wavell, whose headquarters is in Tripoli, Libya. There are a total of 150,000 troops and 1,000 tanks in Africa, 35,000 of them in the Suez apart of the newly formed XXII Army, 80,000 of them under XII Corp under Field Marshal Claude Auchinleck on the border of Libya and Egypt, 10,000 in a base to the southwest of Cairo, and 35,000 across the south of the Empire apart of the XXVII Army under Field Marshal Harold Alexander. Equipment is up to date and supply lines connect them to the major ports.

I mean...Egypt hasn't mobilized. Nor has it declared war. In fact, we sent a telegram to Churchill to negotiate. Unless Britain doesn't wish to negotiate ICly?

PLEASE STOP your backstory is extremely well written but stop, as has been stated multiple times you cannot make massive changes till 1945. Your backstory changes way too much history more severely before that period in a way that affects many other nations

Britain just put several hundred thousand troops on the canal, Egypt had no chance and they will be slaughtered trying to take it. Negotiate

There are 35,000 on the canal, and only 115,000 against Egypt.

Well, that's what I'm trying to do. Hard to negotiate when the other party doesn't respond.
