The Infinites- Infinite Gauntlet -(Supers, Comedy) OOC,Done

I'm not the OP, but from what you've posted so far, it doesn't look like this character will fit in the setting. Remember from the first post: this is a comedy setting in which everyone has really lame superpowers; this character doesn't necessarily have to be funny (though he should probably be able to play along with the others' jokes, at least), but he does have to be weak in a funny way.

Off the top of my head, examples of ways to make chi manipulation really lame:

- He's really convinced he has these powers, but he's actually totally incapable of fighting seriously. His combat style consists of flailing around and making cool noises.
- He has all of the expected superhuman fighting abilities and energy powers, but can only use them against fish.
- His power is that whenever someone mispronounces "chi", he gets to use a weak chi-based attack against them while screaming the correct pronunciation.
- He can create and shape this mystical inner energy... into the shape of fairly soft blunt objects with which to gently bludgeon people.

Why did you become a superhero: "I always see these super heroes on TV, you know. Big fancy capes, flying around the place... I always wonder if they have a nice home to go to, where a good cup of tea is waiting for them. Well, I want to make sure our own Minnesota Infinites have someone to look out for them. Someone to make them a scarf when its cold out, and makes sure they take their meds!"

(Why is this character with the Minnesota Infinites. In other words, why do they kind of suck?): Are you serious? I mean, look at her. 84 years old, blind as a bat without her thick prescription glasses, slow to move, with brittle bones and rheumatic hands. And her power is hardly a power at all. It's not better than guesswork. It's not really her fault. Her power used to be much stronger, her visions clearer, but then her eyesight got worse. And while in the 3rd dimension we can make prescription glasses to fix that, there are no glasses beyond the veil of the now.
How would you describe your talents?: "I can make a good cup of tea. I also knit sweaters and scarves. And nobody beats my potato salad."
(What about your character's talents make them a D-lister?): I refer to the answer above. Let me say again: she is 84 years old.
What are your strengths?:
What are your weaknesses?: "I can't help but feel bad for the bad guys as well. I mean, did they get enough hugs growing up? A loving warm home to return to? Poor lads"
(Any other flaws? Maladjusted personality? Social issues? Unmarketable aspects?): Pushing 84, Gertrude is growing a bit senile, as evidenced by the toad she keeps on her shoulder, which she insists is her husband Harold she accidentally turned into a toad.
Why should you if given the opportunity be allowed to advance in the Infinites?: "Oh, because you guys obviously need the support! Not only can I predict crimes before they happen, generally, I can look into the past to solve crimes! That could be useful! Also, nobody makes a better meatloaf, and there is nothing better after a day of fighting crime than sitting down to a hot cup of cocoa"
(Why does the press hate or ignore you?): They have never in their lives heard of Gertrude.

Hey Comms! That should be fine. I was just waiting on the backstory. The rest looks great, and I know you as a player. I know you are a good writer. I have no doubt that you have the ability to contribute well to this RP. And I was going to accept Gertrude when I saw you were done. So doing it early is fine. Gertrude is ACCEPTED! Welcome to the Infinites!

If you want a humorous suggestion for Gertrude's bio, I don't mind given her age if you want to make it completely short and have it all be the ramblings of a senile old lady. For Infinites, funny works just as well if not better than your typical bio for almost every other kind of RP.

EDIT - The roster has been updated. The only omission I have is I was wondering about Castelia and what he thought of some of the changes I suggested for his badminton character. Also, maybe another one - what about making a play on words on the term "badminton" as a villain name? Something like Evil Minton or whatever.

Biography: Wu Yuan was born in Lhasa on April 23, 2000 to Tao Yuan, a martial artist, and Ping Shen, a nurse. Tao is a practitioner of tai chi while Ping works as a nurse at Kang Zi Hospital. They were not wealthy and Wu's parents couldn't afford to sent him to school. As a result, Tao taught Wu tai chi at a slow pace but it gotten harder for him by the time he reaches his teenage years. At the age of 16, Tao died from a unknown illness that it is said was a curse. Wu was sadden by the lost of his father who taught him martial arts. A friend of his father had told Tao that a assassin have killed his father and that he might have a connection with the triad but others said that it was a lie.

Wu's personality changes from a friendly and cheerful child to a arrogant, cruel and, ambitious young man that he is willing to become the greatest martial artist in the world as well as to find his father's killer. He wickedly killed his mother, Ping, by strangling her and to feed her to the dogs. To this day, Wu is a evil martial artist/supervillain who called himself "Grandmaster Yuan".

Beast-form- blue, huge muscles, tusks, bloodshot golden eyes, bloodstained claws and hooves, can squeal very loudly. Wears remnants of black suit.
Biography: Connor was a business man, conning other people out of their money. Then, one day, he found himself conning a pig farmer. A crazed pig happened to bite him. He made it back to his freaking huge castle office, but then he passed out. When he awoke, he found that he had blown up the office and that he was a blue furred giant pig. Shortly after, the Infinities showed up and he had the time of his life.
Powers: Human form- can con people out of money, steal things
Beast-form- is very powerful and is very hard to take down. Can become enraged. Owns a huge golden tridents that can kill people.

Speaking of murder, I'm going to nerf your trident. While it could possibly kill people if used that way, we're not going there in this RP from it, without express permission from the OP.

Also, one other thing. When Pig Man is in beast mode, I'm assuming he stands on two feet and not four, and then can use his hands like normal?

I'm going to have some time tomorrow to review. Powers (or lack of powers as the case may be) look fine. One thing I did notice is that some parts of the bio are rather dark and graphic for the Infinites. Like any part involving killing people. The villains of Infinites have never done any time in jail nor would they. They're more like humorous pests than hardened criminals.

Maybe go back through the bio and tone it down some.
