Texas is a winnable state for Democrats; I remember when I removed the last of the Oregon Republican Senators in 2008 and we can do this in Texas in 2019 and 2020. For this special election, I hope Democrats have the good sense to keep candidacies to a minimum to have the best shot of prevailing in the jungle primary. #TurnTexasBlue

Texans deserve better from their Congressional delegates than racebaiting conspiracy theories. The decency and charity of real Texans has always warmed my heart, and in this special election, we have a unique opportunity to upend a cycle of Republicans taking the Lone Star State for granted. Lets #TurnTexasBlue and help Texans get a real voice in the Senate.

Randy Cramp @RandyCrampy I've officially filed by intention to run for Texas Senate. I intend to bring back Judeo-Christian values to government and fight for Texas. ![]() |
TO: Governor Jonah Prendergast Jr
FROM: Randall Cramp
Good day,
This is Randy Cramp, former Judge in Fort Worth, Texas. You may have heard my case on the news, I'm fighting for religious freedom in the courts against the Texan State Commission. I'm also running for Texas Senate. I would like to have a chat with you, if you have the spare time. I understand you are a busy man though, Governor.
Cheers,
Randy.

Hello Justice Cramp!
I've heard about your case and your related advocacy, and whilst it's a bit early for me to throw myself behind one candidate in particular, I'd certainly be glad to talk. Feel free to send a call through to my office at [NUMBER] until I can come down to Texas in person. Been planning to come down for a while now!
Yours,
Jonah

"Hello there, Justice Cramp. We've been expecting your call, we'll connect you through to the Governor now."
There was a click, before it'd fizz through to Jonah's phone.
"Randy Cramp?"

"Of course, of course." He nodded as he spoke into his phone. "You're a good man, Justice Cramp, taking on the Obergefell nonsense. I admire that about you. I think you'd make a good Senator for Texas."

I'm glad you think that, Mr. Governor, and I know you said you didn't want to endorse anyone yet, but you're a rockstar out here Mr Governor. Your endorsement will mean the world, and I was just thinking that I believe you should endorse someone before the open primary. It'd be useful to get yourself more allies in there, in the Presidential Primary. If I could win with your endorsement, I'd be the most enthusiastic supporter of your campaign. And they'd you have the advantage over Richardson in our biggest delegate state!"

"Actually, California has the highest number of delegates, but let's not split hairs. I wasn't aware I was so popular down there. I'm certainly impressed by your record as a judge, but becoming a Senator is a big step. Are you prepared for the stress? The strain?" He asked gently, wanting to get more of an idea of what kind of man he was actually dealing with here.

"I'll be upfront that I can't make an endorsement this soon. Texas is very important to our Party, especially as it gets purpler and purpler, so we need to be ready to take on that challenge with more poise than politics than we used to. However, the fact that you went out of your way to talk to me so soon means a lot, and raises you in my estimations significantly. If this doesn't work out, I know for sure that I'll be putting you on the federal bench."
