"Because Richardson's a slick political operator. He's a true politician. He doesn't share your candor, your genuineness. The biggest thing Americans appreciate about you? Your honesty. You speak clear, blunt truth to the American people after generations of lies. That's what I want to preserve. You haven't just changed America's circumstances, you've unchained its soul. That's what I want to continue. Letting people speak their truth. Let's leave the lies to people like Dirty Diane or, well, Risky Richardson." He smiled idly, nodding. "We've got to push laws and pressure the states to protect the First and Second Amendments. We've got to shake up the Senate so we can get reliable 'Wolf' Republicans in. Your daughter Lilyana is interested in replacing [not-Collins]. I can't say that'd be bad for her, or for the Republican Party, or for America."

Wolf nodded along. “My Counselor tells me that Lilyana shouldn’t run in Maine. That she won’t win, [Not-Collins] is the best option. Now, I don’t know. I don’t know. But I think Lilyana would be great in your administration, I want her to be Secretary of Commerce. What do you think?”

Robert shrugged his shoulders, and broke a slight grin. "Personally, I wouldn't worry too much over the cost measures. Not advising against the idea of including cost-cutting into the bill, but know that my Democratic colleagues in both chambers of Congress will raise a hoot no matter what we cut. Might as well look at the big picture and ride your victory as long as you can, knowing they will politicize the hell out of your infrastructure bill if it includes enough cutting of anything. When you've built up enough wins, you'll have some momentum and leverage to introduce whatever budget cuts you planned on doing anyway."

Alexander MacArthur rushed forward. He had cold sweat on his forehead and his heart was beating fast. He was holding a coffee as he made his way into Senator Goldwater's office.

"Relax," James told his secretary, "no need to be so tense."

"It is one thing to be secretary to a Senator and completely another to be secretary to a presidential candidate. We really need to formulate a coherent strategy going on into this campaign. We cannot keep improvising."

"I do agree with that. We already have the basics covered though; a coherent political message and a communication strategy. The message is simple: the elites have screwed you up, I am here to fight for you. The communication thing is somewhat more complicated though..."

"Yup. We need to combine a large scale social media campaign with many mainstream media interviews, large-scale ads and a campaign blitz throughout the states. You've already done this twice in your senatorial bids but we will have to do on a far, far greater scale now. We will need to be constantly on the move and will probably need to burn off a lot of money."

"Money is not an issue," James replied. "I am willing to spend as much as possible to get elected. If I don't win this campaign, I am afraid my political career will end."

"In all interviews you give to media now on, stop with the provocative acts and try to be more moderate, disciplined and laser-focused on the issues. I am not talking about being establishment-lite or not punching at the establishment and the elites. Keep up your attacks but in a way that will not scare more average, conservative voters. Try to memorize a few statistics, especially about trade, economy and migration. You have a good memory and you are a stats guy, so you can do it. Try not get baited by hostile interviewers and don't get into fights. We've gained the notoriety we needed with provocative statements; now it's the time for discipline and caution."

"Don't worry, I can handle that easily," James smiled. "We also need to start hiring staffers for our campaign. Staffers usually cost around $3000 per month. I need 25 staffers hired, that is $75,000 per month cost. Thank God I'm rich."

"Will handle that. Will also need to start raising cash from online donations - no matter how loaded with cash you may be, elections cost a lot."

"Yup!"

I am pleased to announce that on March 14 I am going to begin holding a monthy town hall session in my district, called the #PeoplesQuestions, where ANYONE can ask me questions about ANYTHING and I will answer to the best of my ability. See you there!

John Atang
Huntington, New York
14th March

(Image)

John arrived at the town hall in an excited but anxious mood. He had chosen a large town, one of the largest in his district, and he was sure this would raise his publicity. However, he knew it could take a turn for the worse. Not all questions are easy to answer.

John arrived on the stage and smiled at the crowd to mild applause, and exclaimed politely,

"Hello, Huntingdon, and welcome to my first session of People's Questions! Well, we better get to it. Anyone?"

Anyone can ask him a question IC, don't hesitate!

A young man with a red and white t-shirt appears with a digital tablet.

"Mr. Atang, I'm with a blog called American People. It's a small blog meant to promote objective news content. Here's the question I have provided. A business here in Pennsylvania had forbidden children from entering, because it's mainly a bar. Can children be allowed in business establishments that focus mainly on alcohol, even if they don't drink alcohol?"

(This is New York not Pennsylvania)

"Well, firstly I think that's a fascinating question and I'd like to thank you for coming here today. I think such a matter should be left to states or municipalities when it comes to regulating whether or not the law should prohibit children from entering such establishments.

"However, my own personal view is that the law should stay out of the question and the establishment itself should be able to decide whether to allow children in, unless children are actually being allowed or even encouraged to drink alcohol by the establishment - in which case it should be shut down and its owners prosecuted for child abuse."

"I don't want to take the gloves off on him yet. He is an old friend, and for now, I will maintain my veneer of civility. As of now, he's not directly cutting into my support, but until that time arrives, I will stay away from publicly attacking him. For now, keep up your good criticism. The current, most blaring issue was his initial proclamation of being in favor of Medicare for All. Now we know he's clearly not, he's in favor of a public option that the majority of Americans need to buy into. That's an establishment Dem position, not a supposedly firebrand progressive position. It would be nice to make that distinction between Westra and I, if you would like to ever raise it on twitter or in the media."

"Ok, I definitely get that, but when he says something obviously stupid, like saying he wanted to establish an agency that would take away the right to choose at an arbitrary week mark, the least you could do is say that it's concerning, especially coming from the mouth of someone who you consider a friend. You're the candidate, you can do what you want, I'm just giving my advice.

"As for Medicare for All, I'll definitely try to next time I see an opportunity to do so."

Representative,

It has come to my attention that you have been rather active, both publicly and within the House Republican Caucus, I would like to arrange a meeting for this Thurday at 08:00 in order to discuss these recent developments and your involvement in them. Failure to attend will result in your expulsion from the House Republican Caucus and expulsion from any Committees you currently serve on.

Yours most respectfully,

House Minority Leader Thomas Volker

Vohoffsky was forwarded the letter in the form of an email, and nodded as he went to attend the meeting from his private jet.

He arrived 5 minutes early, waited in his office and then went to Volker's for the meeting.

The Office of House Minority Leader Volker, Canon House Office Building, Washington D.C.

The secretary present at the entrance to Volker's office went into the office and notified the House Minority Leader that Vohoffsky had arrived, shortly after, she exited the office and spoke to the Representative from California.

"The House Minority Leader has said you can go in, Congressman." The secretary said politely.

Vohoffsky walked in, with a stern look on his face.

"Mr. Whip, I'll make this short. I fully apologise for my attack on Goldwater, which could reasonably be seen as compromising the unity of the party. This apology does not, however, mean that I wish to condone his actions in calling living, breathing human beings leeches and his peddling of extreme right conspiracy theories. I will focus the activities of the AFM towards pushing for economic conservatism and classical liberalism. Is there anything else you wish to address, Mr. Whip?"

Vohoffsky said his apology and statement full heartedly, as though he genuinely felt everything that he said. He knew that he was on the brink of being expelled, but realised that Goldwater's controversy had allowed him to escape expulsion for a few months or so.

"I accept your apology, I was merely concerned that both your actions and those of Senator Goldwater would make us look divided going into the election, after all we have the example of the Democrats currently to see where that would lead us. However, I also wanted this meeting to discuss your American Freedom Movement. I, as the House Minority Leader and head of the House Republican Caucus allow the Movement to extend, I have heard of your courting of Representatives from both the Caucus I was the inaugural chair of and one of its associated Caucuses, I am concerned that such a move as the AFM's formation would publicly make us seem divided and might allow something for the Democrats to rally around. Therefore I want it gone. Am I understood?" Volker asked firmly.

"Yes, we'll stop all our actions within Congress. We had few resources in there anyway. Will we still be allowed to campaign outside of Congress, however? The formation of the AFM - as a think tank, advocacy group, whatever you call it - will certainly help the Republicans convert Democrat-leaning Silicon Valley and help make some headway in liberal states, perhaps even leading to a Republican win in California by the end of the next decade. But look, Mr. Whip, I'll be straight with you: you're scared of me threatening your power in Congress. Now, I think I know a way to solve this whilst benefiting me and the Republican Party in general, with my interference only kept in Congress when it comes to swinging Democrat districts and turning them red, along with establishing my own agenda within the party.

What I'm trying to say is here, we'll both benefit along with the party if you work with me on the issue..." Vohoffsky said, ready to deliver his deal to Volker.

Also March the 13th, in literally the exact same place.

Vohoffsky, meanwhile, himself was on the computer, playing CS:GO too. He had picked the Office map, playing as the FBI. He was with a few online friends, who coordinated together as a squad to rack up kills. They called themselves the Iron Corps, and were full of expert players. After all, the good thing about being older is that you get experience at a lot of things, with Vohoffsky having been in this game from the beginning. It was near even, as one of his allies just got killed by LeagueBoi, Vohoffsky, however, himself under the tag CodeOrion (as the rest of his group did), began to close in on him.

Iron Squad Voice Chat (Discord) - CodeBetelgeuse: Wow. that l_r0k guy is certainly a noob. Wait a minute, is he trying to shoot the hostages?
Team Voice Chat - CodeBetelgeuse: Hey, buddy, this isn't-
Team Voice Chat - l_r0k: HELP HELP HELP! ALSO, WHY ARE ALL OF YOU LIKE THIS- I'M DEAD NOW
Team Voice Chat - CodeOrion: He's dead, Betelgeuse, let it go.
Team Voice Chat - CodePolaris: Too bad Sirius is in classes-
Team Voice Chat - CodeOrion: Right, let's keep going. I think I can see a terrorist...

Vohoffsky sneaked up to the terrorist and knifed him in the back. The good thing with having an expensive computer and fast internet is that you win a few milliseconds when it comes to these things, as good latency allows you to kill a bad latency opponent quickly.

General Voice Chat - CodeOrion: Target neutralised.
General Voice Chat - MousePunk40: OH NO OH NO
Team Voice Chat - CodePolaris: Objective spotted, east north east.
Team Voice Chat - CodeOrion: We'll be right there, Polaris.
Team Voice Chat - CodeBetelgeuse: Damn, that Mouse guy is good. I'm too bogged down to help either of you right now, I'm sorry.
Team Voice Chat - CodePolaris: That's fine with us. We're the only 3 remaining, so let's make this worth it.

Vohoffsky shot one of the terrorists supposed to protect the hostages, and began to carry them out. Polaris was accompanying him, as they got ready to move them to the extract zone as Betelgeuse kept the rest of them preoccupied on one hostage with a smoke grenade and his Negev. And soon, one was out...

Team Voice Chat: DEAD MousePunk40: I'm down!
Team Text Chat: DEAD OilSoil69: The fuck?! When did these guys join the game?!
Team Voice Chat: Deblod100: How did you guys die? I was near two people with the hostages, then I leave the room for one second and now half of our team is dead at once.
Team Voice Chat: ScOnEsEE: Wait, did you leave the hostages?
Team Voice Chat: Deblod100: I'm trying to flank these guys! Plus, I'm using a mouse here!
Team Voice Chat: ScOnEsEE: You moron! You left the hostages!
Team Voice Chat: LeagueBoi Shoot the smoke!

LeagueBoi was starting to shoot with his Desert Eagle at the smoke grenade that was being thrown, but he saw a hostage run past. "Come on. Come on." Mike muttered, as he tried to give chase, where he managed to nab one of the CT's.

Team Voice Chat: LeagueBoi: Got one!

Team Voice Chat: CodeOrion: Making some very good advances here, everyone. Well done.
Team Voice Chat: CodePolaris:: SHIT! There's some guy on our tail!
Team Voice Chat: CodeBetelgeuse: The smoke is clearing! I'm running out of grenades and ammo, so get that hostage out of there!
Team Voice Chat: CodeRigel: Finally, my mic is now working. I'll be with you soon, Betelgeuse, just need to get there..

Polaris, after being nabbed by a Desert Eagle, threw a flashbang off, as Vohoffsky got a sniper headshot off in time. Whether or not he died was not his concern, only escape was. They both ran off, trying to leave as fast as possible to help Rigel and Betelgeuse, the latter of which was on the verge of death. They ran off as fast as they could...and there goes the hostage! Now it was time to mop up a few floors, as Vohoffsky switched to an XM1014. He didn't like the cheap skin on it, but hey, it works for now.

Team Voice Chat: CodePolaris: WE'RE COMING!
Team Voice Chat: CodeBetelgeuse: I'm on 15 health, help!
Team Voice Chat: CodeRigel: We will hunt them down, and get every single bit of anarchist blood from them!
Team Voice Chat: CodeOrion: We will win, my friends!

Rigel, Polaris and Vohoffsky had arrived nearly on time...nearly. They tried to rush forward, assaulting the terrorists, but alas Betelgeuse was dead before they could reach him. They flung their grenades, unleashing them upon the terrorists. Incendiary, high explosive, whatever would smoke them out. They all wielded generally fast weapons, clearing out the room despite the fact they were generally inaccurate. They hunted them down from all sides, but made one mistake: they left their back open...

"I see. Now, I've been looking for away for the Republicans to appeal to more liberal urban populations. Immigrants, minorities, urban liberals, they will make up a massive chunk of this nation's population, Mr. Minority Leader. I'm going to be clear here: abortion is not the primary social issue that they care about. Minorities, immigrants, urban people, they care about minority rights, whether it's for the gays or for Hispanics. I built the AFM in order to penetrate these areas, to ensure that a Republican can win in California.

I will endeavour to make California a red state again, Mr. Minority Leader. That will be our main goal. And my main goal, as a person? It depends on which way the wind blows, but I'm either arching for a cabinet position or, more likely, the Governorship of California. With the AFM, I can make California red again. What do you say? Do I have your support to campaign - outside of Congress as to not undermine your righteous authority, of course - in order to make California red again?"

However, I feel it best if you focus most of your resources on California first and then if it is successful then you may expand the AFM into its neighbouring states. Is there anything else you would like to add, Representative?"
