Like Attorney General Jones, President Wolf loved to golf. Unlike the AG, he golfed as often as possible while in office. Unfortunately, it had been awhile due to his frequent bouts of being bedridden. The President loved golf meetings, and it was a good chance to hit his favorite course in what would likely be the last round of golf in his life.

He arrived shortly after the scheduled time, waving to his portly partner as he approached the tee. He consulted with his trusted caddy, who did most of the work, and drove the ball respectably far down the fairway for a guy with brain cancer.

Only then did he turn to Attorney General Jones and shake his hand.

“Michael Jones, how are you? Beautiful day to golf. Absolutely beautiful.”

The leader sat at the leadership table facing the fancy dining room, which was prepared with a lavish buffet-style lunch for the Republican Caucus. He was first to arrive, and waited for the others to trickle in.

Frankston arrived on the dot at the appointed time, somewhat tired, he sat opposite Warrick and smiled.

After a week of being with the family down in Jacksonville, Kevin would work on catching up on all of his congressional work. Despite there being a recess, he would still stay in office and keep hard at work, living up to the promises he made to voters of being a hard-working congressman. From the typical congressional paperwork to writing nominations for high schooners to service academies, Kevin would be hard at work.

An aide to Representative Villalobos would knock on the door. "Come in." Kevin would say as he is typing on a computer and signing off letters simultaneously. The aide, a 23 year-old female and recent graduate from Florida State, Amber Sieber, would come into the office.

"Congressman Villalobos, somebody's sent you something; it's a surprise." She would say as she comes into the office. Amber held a decorated box. Kevin glanced at her swiftly; a perky 5'5" blonde girl that served as the President of her sorority while she was at State. She was a Political Science major and took up an assistant job at Villalobos' office, surprisingly right out of college. To add to his appeal, Kevin did hire based on initial education and looks to separate his office from that of the other dull, generic Washington politicians.

"Right. Thanks, Amber. That's all for now." Kevin said to her. Amber nodded and proceeded on her way out.

Kevin would open the present. He smiled as he saw what was under the wrapping; it was a die-cast model of his #14 Lowes car that he raced for over 27 years. Who sent it? It would be no other than a 7 year-old kid, named John from Tallahassee. Along with the die-cast (where the words "YOU ROCK!" were written in sharpie on the roof), a letter from the kid:

"Dear Mr. El Diablo,

you got guts and i really loved seeing u win at talladega when i was 6!! i got this from my dad for my 7 birthday but instead ill give it to you because youre so awesom. you ar a legend i wish i could keep growing up to see u race. i hope the congress loves u just as much as me and nascar does. i want to be a racer and a congressworker like u, cuz u rock!

Kevin would feel happiness after reading this letter. For a couple of minutes, he briefly stopped his work and became nostalgic and reminiscent of his days of racing. He honestly wished that he could keep racing, until the day of the grave hit him. But, as the addage goes, life goes on and so will Kevin. He would write and send a letter back to the kid, along with another die-cast car from his cabinet, both autographed.

Senator Colbert arrives at the Senate Dining Room. This was his first meeting with leader Warrick and most of the other Senators. He badly wants to make a good impression. Granted, many didn’t like him because he openly disliked Wolf’s style and was willing to work with Democrats, but he wanted to show that he was trustworthy in office and would stay true to the Republican Party, provided they didn’t offend God, Utah, or America.

Slater scratched his head. "Well, I don't really agree with that assessment. Prendergast and Richardson have both done far more to appeal to Mormons than Porter."

"I think Porter is a man of good fiber that will fit the Oval Office quite nicely."

Slater frowned at that. "Benedict, I understand you have your opinions, but you have to look at the big picture here. Porter economically is much more in line with the Baginski wing of the Democrats than with us conservatives. He is a gaffe machine who will get pummeled by whoever the Democrats nominate unless it's someone like Murphy. He's bad news for us. There are far better candidates who will both win us the election and get us actual conservative policies passed."
