@GovernorRichardson - Whatever happens, we won't let Dirty Douglas poison America any longer! Looking forward to seeing you and Governor Chambers on the debate stage, sooner rather than later.

Fact check: Governor Prendergast watched up to season 5. It stopped being good TV after Sorkin left. Might not have agreed with Bartlet on very much, but hot damn, the man acknowledged the need to keep America strong! Shame Democrats today don't share that consensus with Republicans today!

Nathaniel Richardson
Columbia, Richland County, South Carolina
March 27th, 2019

Image

The capital and second largest city in the state of South Carolina was a necessary stop for Richardson. His (relatively) more moderate stances helped him won with more urban republicans and those wishing to expand the party. Additionally South Carolina’s proximity to his home state and frequent media market overlap made him well known and respected. Finally he had more connections in SC than probably any state other than his own, with Richardson campaigning with and for scores of local republicans.

He began his day meeting with the Black Republican Association, the BRA was small but hopeful in Richardson’s candidacy as Richardson had won many African American voters during his gubernatorial races or at least they stayed home and were unthreatened by him. By contrast Prendergast had responded to the Opioid crisis by targeting minorities in his state rather than going after big pharma, which was not going to be helpful with their goals if he lead the ticket. He met with them for an hour and talked election strategy as well as expanding the party and messaging to minority voters.

After the meeting he made his way to Fort Jackson, the largest United States Army installation for basic training. He met with recruit and those who worked on the base thanking them for their service and talking about the biggest challenges they faced serving and worries they had about the country. He made sure to talk about his plan to expand education for the families of soldiers and his commitment to not being the world’s policeman but keeping a strong military as a deterrent.

He then traveled to Columbia proper, beginning at EdVenture, the largest children’s museum in the region. He met with a group of schoolchildren there taking pictures and questions about being a governor and running for President, all told a good photo op. Richardson then made his way to the Congaree Vista district where he met with many of the local shop and restaurant owners and workers talking about how he would help businesses grow and wages rise. He also met with patrons shaking hands and taking contact information while have discussions about whatever topic they were interested in. Richardson had done research on local issues so he was always able to bring it and national topic more local, more than anything Nate wanted people to understand that he really saw them, that he had empathy and would be there. Nate repeated this at The Village at Sandhill Shopping Center mostly visiting locally owned merchants and restaurants to introduce himself to patrons, take selfies, and answer questions.

Nate met with a small group of priests from the Southern Baptist Convention to discuss faith, family and gun violence, it was here that his gun violence initiative with Benjamin Little made headway and provided a beachhead for Nate to discuss the issue further. He focused on taking illegal guns off the streets locking up repeat violent offenders while making sure non violent drug crimes were treated much lighter, additionally his commitment to vouchers to improve education was a large draw for the african american community. Richardson also traveled to the Hindu Temple of South Carolina to meet with members of the Hindu congregation, many first or second generation Americans. While not a large percentage of the population, the growing southeast asian community in the state and across the country shared a number of conservative values and would be an investment for the Republican party to make.

Finishing his meeting with faith leaders Richardson held a small event at the University of South Carolina, meeting with local republican groups that he had connections with before holding a townhall event where people could ask questions of the Presidential Candidate. Afterwards he once again shook hands and took pictures with everyone who came. Overall a highly visible day of retail politics where he strengthened connections with key players in South Carolina.

I’m running because it’s time for America to wake up and take fiscal responsibility. Our debt and deficit spending is approaching ENORMOUS levels and will only skyrocket if we elect one of the democratic socialists or progressives running from the other side. The World Bank and every other reputable institution knows that debt and deficits must be kept In check.

I fear a day where a self proclaimed “democratic socialist” spends our way into a Greek crash. Just like for people and for business, it’s time we encouraged our government to pay its debts.

Vote Chambers! Vote Red! Vote Responsibility!

Dear Representative Nez,

Hope you're weathering the current political climate well. I'm looking to make a big entry here as a junior congressmen and you seem like one of the key people to get to know here in D.C.. If you want to do some work together here is a bill I've been working on, which could be a big boost for a democratc like yourseld but could use some experienced oversight.

I'm attaching the bill below for your consideration and support. Let me know what you think.

Best,

Brett Thomas
United States Representative for the North Carolina 4th District
[spoiler]
Bill Proposal Sheet
Official Name: Teacher Increased Pay ActNickname: TIP Act

Overview: Education is an essential right to participating in democracy. It allows Americans to grow their minds and prosper in ways that benefit us all. Taking this baseline as an absolute, it is essential that we as lawmakers strive to grow and improve this education system which reaps massive benefits upon the American economy, culture, and society.

Section 1: The United States, once the foremost nation of the world, has fallen behind many nations in its quality of education. Studies from the United States Department of Education have investigated ways to improve and restore our global standing as a leader in K-12 education. The primary conclusion from this 2018 study which focused on several states, was that increased pay for teachers was the most cost-effective solution for increasing overall educational benefit.

Section 2: The constitutional spending clause and doctrine authorizes Congress to provide conditional funds to state governments upon the meeting of precedent conditions. This power shall be used to give participant States spending money that shall be used to increase the salary and bonus pays of teachers throughout public K-12 school systems

Section 3: Funding for the participant State objective to increase K-12 teacher pay shall originate from a 1% reallocation of funds from the current military budget or alternatively in the form of a one timer wealth tax if a national emergency is to emerge.

Section 4: This act shall benefit the national education system which fundamentally benefits all Americans

This bill is then honorably presented to the House of Representatives for consideration in order to increase K-12 teacher pay to improve the United States Law and education system and is backed by Brett Thomas on (insert date)

I definitely like to concept, however, it definitely has a few structural problems. If you're free, I'm more than willing to walk you threw it.

Before the announcement, Anderson was to deliver a speech to the congregation. The speech was particularly focused on criminal justice reform, advertising the PEA which he intended to propose to Congress soon and also implying but not specifically mentioning his role as an AG in a possible Prendergast administration.

When he was invited to speak, he walked up to the podium, and smiled at the cheering crowd. He pulled out his script he had written and laid it on his desk.

"Thank you, Thank you."

The cheering crowd began to quieten down.

"Thank you,"

Anderson paused.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to inform you of a certain country which is extremely tough on crime - far tougher than we ever are - with mandatory death sentences for murder and drug kinpinning, and if the death penalty is not applied there, then other 'extreme' punishments such as caning and life imprisonment are.

"If the democrats heard just that about this country, I bet they'd go "OMG! I'm so triggered! What a horrible place! The fact they make criminals pay must mean they have really high crime cuz of no rehabilitation! Deterrence doesn't exist"

"Well, I can tell you something, this country is called Singapore, and the truth is - their policy works. Deterrence works. Singapore is the 7th safest county in the world, according to the Global Peace Index. What about the USA, you ask? We're the most dangerous in the west, in fact, our lackluster crime policy has made us less safe than some of the most impoverished nations in the world. We've become one of the least safe countries in the world!

"This has got to change. Our crime policy has to toughen up and deal with the evils of terrorism, pedophilia, and murder, whose perpetrators get off scott free with epicine slaps on the wrist for abominable acts!

"We must deter criminals and become like Singapore, where instead of murderous gangs roaming on the street they have deterrents and as a result people in a city feeling safe to leave their houses at night without even locking the door.

"A key component of Singapore's policy is that the worst criminals face the ultimate penalty, they pay the ultimate price - the death penalty. Here, our sissified federal government hasn't executed anyone since 2003, our flaccid Supreme Court has stopped PEDOPHILES and TERRORISTS from being executed, even in states with 10th Amendment rights! If we reinstated and actually executed the death penalty quickly and without beuracracy, crime would plummet and people would feel safe, and pedophiles and terrorists wouldn't dare to do the acts they do if they knew that they could die for them!

"So we have seen the evidence, so now we must act. And I have. I am pleased to announce here that I will be officially sending a law that toughens up our justice system for rapists, pedophiles, and terrorists, to every single member of Congress, so I can place it in the Senate Docket shortly afterwards, and create a safer future for our children and grandchildren!

"And I have also contacted this great man which, if President, would make this country safer with his tough on crime ethos that I share with him. If we are to continue the legacy of President Wolf we have to remember the ultimate fact that a country cannot be great without being safe.

"This President, ultimately, and he will be President, will be a President that delivers on crime. He will make sure that no longer will any person which commits such abdonimable crimes will face light treatment. And for that reason and many others, I am endorsing him as the great man he is."

I think it might be wise for Senator Anderson to know that possession of a firearm is punishable by 14 years imprisonment and several strokes of caning.

Joslyn Art Museum
Omaha, Nebraska
6:30pm on April 1st, 2020

Appetizers and drinks were circling and the new Western art collection seemed like a big hit to the gathered crowd of well to do locals. The big draw though was Governor Chambers himself who had teamed up with the museum to use the new exhibit as a co-fundraiser for both his campaign and the museum. The family were big donors and it was no surprise to see Jack take an interest, even if a self centered one, in the museum.

Jack himself was circling the galleries, taking in the pieces and discussing a variety of topics with the museum goers. One who followed could hear economics one moment and then turn their head and hear a baseball prediction the next. Jack had an easy smile and made good company rubbing shoulders with many well dressed Midwestern men and women.

Jack moved around 7pm toward the main hall, chatting briefly with some old co-workers and friends. He then made his way to a small set up stage to welcome in the crowd;

"Good evening and welcome everyone to what looks to be a beautiful exhibit. I'm excited to have you here at the Joslyn which is truly a gem for this city and state.

Art like anything takes great time, skill, and patience. We should give a round of applause for all the contributors to this collection and to the staff and curators who have laid it out for us.

Seeing many familiar faces, I'm sure that each and everyone of you can relate to the need for time, skill, and patience to create something wonderful. I whole heartedly agree with this assessment and believe our state puts these principles to use in building a strong economy and a strong society.

Which why I believe it is time, now, to take this strong work ethic to Washington, where we, yes we, can build together a stronger and brighter future for ourselves and our children.

So thank you for coming here today to honor the hard work of many and remember that anything you give to the campaign is an investment. An investment in a strong and responsible work ethic for America's future.

Thank you so much again for your support, and enjoy the display

Jack waved to the crowds polite clapping (they weren't the kind of crowd to get too rowdy) and returned to his wife. Jack spent the dinner portion rotating courses with different tables to field questions and chat policy with different attending groups and families. After dinner Jack stayed around for a cocktail with some local business leaders and then bid the remaining crowd adieu around 10:00 pm to head home back to Lincoln.

I do not believe, nor have I ever believed, that my democrat colleagues have committed any acts of treason against this country. Meanwhile, you praise the actions of a country that prosecutes male homosexuality, silences opposition voices and bars unions from even existing without being sanctioned by the government. Is that the country you want, Senator? You want to cane people for expressing their love, arrest people who disagree with you and dismantle worker's rights bit by bit? If not, then prove it.

Singapore's law on sodomy is not enforced, the government even said it is not enforced. Being a homosexual is no more illegal in Singapore than it is in Texas or Florida. They even have regular pride parades there. As for the rest, I do not think the USA should become exactly like Singapore and I was only referencing to deterrents for serious crime they have there, not their policies that undermine political rights.

Nathaniel Richardson
Orangeburg, Orangeburg County, South Carolina
March 28th, 2019

Image

Richardson was ecstatic, he not only had a large polling lead but he had a huge financial lead too. 2 million more than the next highest candidate of either party and something like 5 million more than Prendergast. Governor Chambers entering was a surprise and a minor cause for concern, he liked Chambers more than Prendergast on a personal level and certainly thought he would be a better candidate, but luckily the far right social conservatism of Chambers put him a bit more in the Prendergast lane than the Richardson lane, same with a certain crazy Senator from Texas. Richardson had a lane to himself.

As for what to do with the money, Richardson’s team considered airing some ads but came to the conclusion it was too early. The fundraising lead of Richardson may not last, and ads aired now would have little impact when the states actually started voting. Better to save the money now and build up an infrastructure.

But for the moment Richardson focused himself on the task at hand, namely his campaigning in South Carolina, today in Orangeburg. The overwhelmingly African American Community was not exactly a Republican stronghold but Richardson wanted to expand the party and that would require a few uphill battles. He started by visiting St Paul’s United Methodist Church, his faith was a bridge on which he could begin to build relationships with the community. Meeting with clergy individually and privately to hear their concerns, he didn’t ask for a photo op or lip service… he just listened and showed empathy, warmth and compassion. After listening to their concerns and hopes he began to lay out his platform and explained how it would benefit the African American Community, this was aided by his removal of Confederate Monuments which they knew cost him dearly with his own party. During the two hour meeting he continued to show respect, compassion, empathy and his strong faith. While Richardson did not expect to win the black vote, we believed that he could sway some voters and more importantly repress turnout of African Americans.

Afterwards he began his typical retail sprint having lunch at Clark’s Inn and Restaurant, took a boat out from Pack’s Landing, and visited dozens of local shops dotting the city. He addressed a bunch of children at a school assembly at a small christian school in the city and spoke privately with the educators about his support for teachers. And then finally spent several hours going to the worst neighborhoods in the city that had the most crime and unemployment, there he talked up his crime initiative with Senator Little and explained his commitment to getting illegal guns and violent criminals off the streets, pairing that with lighter drug sentencing, school vouchers and a good economy to bring prosperity to cities like this one. As he did with the clergy he showed respect, compassion, empathy, and understanding. He made them feel seen and not forgotten.

The evening saw him visit two historically black colleges, Claflin University and South Carolina State University. He held hour long town halls at both Universities, with another hour beforehand to tour the campus and meet students, and another half hour after for selfies and hand shaking. Richardson hoped that African American outreach early would help him in the general or at least get the community to think well of him in the future. He took hard questions and gave honest answers supported by his record and successes raising the standard of living for minorities in North Carolina and reforming police practices.

Nathaniel Richardson
Nevada Campaign Infrastructure
March 27th, 2019

Image

Of the 4 early states Nevada was the only one Richardson was not targeting. The other New Hampshire and South Carolina he had natural advantages in, Iowa couldn’t be ignored, so Nevada drew the short straw, he could be everywhere at once and he needed to invest time and money into some markets more than others. That didn’t mean that he wouldn’t campaign in Nevada at all, as a blowout would be damaging, but he certainly would commit the resources he would in another early state.

Nevada really had 3 regions; Reno, Las Vegas and Rural Nevada.

Clark County which housed Las Vegas had 70% of the state’s population and was the liberal bastion of the state. It was defined by the strip and the hispanic community, a large portion of which defined themselves as moderate or conservative, close to 40%, but still strongly supported expansive government programs. Non-Hispanic whites are still a majority in Nevada, but barely, comprising 54 percent of the state. Hispanics are 27 percent, African-Americans are almost 9 percent, and Asians are about 8 percent. It also fused what were arguably the two most important demographic groups in the political world today, blue collar whites and Latinos.

Washoe County was home to 2 of the 5 biggest cities in the state, Reno and Sparks. It was the only swing county when it came to the general election, while the county had on paper more Republicans than Democrats, (Not Obama) had won the county twice, and it had delivered the Democratic win in the state to (Not HIllary Clinton) in 2016. This was the county that likely would form the backbone of his campaign. Reno was still in reality a small town, especially compared to Vegas but its swing status in a very inelastic state made it far more important than the rest of the state. Reno also saw the most growth in industry, Apple’s data center, Tesla and Panasonic’s battery and Tesla factory.

Rural Nevada was literally every other county, and area where some counties saw fewer than 200 Republicans caucus in an election. 12% of the state’s population lives on 88% of the state’s land. Highly conservative but low turnout typically between 8 and 12 percent. Richardson didn’t plan on playing much more than lip service to this area, the transportation costs were too high to justify the number of voters he might win. However he was going to invest in the relatively cheap radio ads and interviews on local talk stations which could cover the 15 counties.

(Not Rubio) had come in second in the state to President Wolf in 2016 which was promising to Richardson, Wolf had not invested in the state at all and was merely riding his momentum to victory in Nevada, (Not Rubio) was ideologically and stylistically closer to Richardson, as was (Not Romney) who won in 2012. In theory this gave Richardson and advantage in the state provided someone else didn’t have the momentum going into the state. The state also had the third largest share of Mormons in the United States, making up 9% of the population. He was extremely confident he could win (Not-Romney’s) endorsement, as he hated Wolfism as did the Church of Latter Day Saints.

Tim Westra 2020
April 2nd, 2019
Las Vegas, Nevada

Tim was fresh off of closing the books on a really good fundraising quarter, showing him with an edge on the rest of the field. He felt his on-the-ground operation in Nevada and Iowa were very strong, with New Hampshire coming along and he liked his campaign's focus on Midwestern industrial states like Ohio and Michigan, which he had visited despite not having early primaries. Now he wanted to show a bit of force in Nevada, which he perceived as a bit of a stomping ground for him due to the strong union influence. He saw his chances as very good in this state.

Surprisingly, despite spending a lot of time in cities like Henderson, Reno and Sparks, as well as some suburban counties, Tim had not visited Las Vegas yet. It was all part of his wider strategy - keep a hold on industrial America, grow support with rural voters with strong Ag policy, avoid the affluent hubs. At some point, though, he would need to make inroads. He thought it was the perfect time to hold a large rally in Las Vegas.

After a few surrogates spoke, including some union leaders from his home state and from this one, it was Tim's turn. He waved as he ran up the stairs onto the stage, looking out at the crowd. From what Tim could tell, it was overwhelmingly curious young voters and Latino residents; perhaps not supporters, but definitely people who were interested enough to show up.

"Hellooooo! Thank you, thank you."

"I am so happy to be back here in Nevada. I am really, really grateful to you guys here. Thanks to your efforts, our campaign is surging in this race! We recently closed the books on our fundraising for the first quarter of this year, and we're proud to see that we're at the front of the pack! No Super PAC money, no big donors, no schmoozing with the billionaire class at closed-door fundraisers! Our only shareholder is the people, and we are now doing very well thanks to all of you guys."

"This is a state of unions; has been for as long as I can remember. I met with ironworkers in Sparks who were scared that our party is going to rip them off of the healthcare plans that they striked for, that they bargained for, that they shed sweat and energy to gain. I fundamentally believe that a progressive blueprint for America means engaging in the politics of addition, not subtraction! It means asking, how can we bring workers along with us and give them a voice? I'll tell you how! By making it easier to join a union! That's what our policies, like our Workplace Democracy plan, accomplish."

"The politics of addition is not about destroying an industry that composes 18% of our economy. It is not about laying off workers who have nothing to do with the shameful greed of the insurance companies who are charging ridiculous premiums and denying coverage to the poor! NO! The progressive vision is one where the greedy executives are forced to compete with a better, affordable, even FREE option to the working poor who are uninsured! We should be in the business of giving healthcare coverage, not taking it away!"

"Nevada unions don't want an unaffordable, forced single-payer health insurance system! New Jersey unions, who I have worked with for years, don't want an unaffordable and forced single payer system! They want to see affordability and choice across the board, not government monopolies that are unsustainable and drive down our healthcare provider quality!"

"But Nevada workers also don't want another milquetoast moderate who scams them out of a vote only to abandon the class struggle in office for the corporate donors. Nevada workers want a living wage! They want a share in company stock! They want to elect corporate board members! These are policies that our worker-led movement for the White House is fighting for."

"I'm here to say that there is another way. The Democratic Party has run away from its roots. We used to be fighters for the working class. We used to give Big Business execs hell. If we dare to call ourselves patriots, if we dare to say our party has the moral high ground, we have to come to terms with this. We have to come to terms with what's wrong. We have to tell Washington, loud and clear: half the country is poor, you assholes!"

"We can't keep criticizing Wolf and his slogan, to Make America Great Again, if we don't realize that America isn't great for so many Americans. I'm here to tell you that my campaign for president is not about the phony populism of Wolf or Prendergast, rich oligarchs who couldn't care less about the workers who elected them or the folks they employed. My campaign is about building a movement of working people, of young people, of minorities, of anybody who feels disenfranchised and left out in today's world. I'm running to give you a seat at the table!"

"I know the difference a good paying job makes. My dad, he was a bus driver. He refused to join a union for much of his career; thought it would interfere with how he operated. We had to ration his meds sometimes, because he didn't make enough. When the transport workers did end up unionizing in my town of Freehold, it made such a difference. Folks had power. They had a voice. My dad had a voice."

"You guys in the working class, you didn't start working less. In fact, you've been working harder! Longer and longer hours for less and less pay. No, the quality of your work didn't change. What changed? The folks at the top decided they wanted to rewrite the rules."

"The political parties, they're owned by the corporate interests. They signed trade deals like NAFTA and PNTR with China; they were practically written by the multinational companies. As production in Mexico and China became a cheaper alternative with fewer trade barriers, GM just couldn't compete. They couldn't afford to meet the basic minimum standards that the UAW bargained for, and they couldn't make a profit at the same time. Why?"

"It wasn't unionization. It was globalization."

"The first policy proposal I released was on trade. I know how much of a difference it made. I know how NAFTA destroyed my community, your communities here in Nevada! Nevada was hurting after NAFTA, you lost 4,000 jobs because of it. The percentage of manufacturing jobs in this state declined. I was in the minority of my party when I led the charge against NAFTA's passage, but we got shut out by the lobbyists. I know what it's like to put your political clout on the line, to put yourself in the firing line of the establishment, to do what is right in Washington. We can't be shut out again in 2020. We will end the policy of giving multinational corporations free reign to destroy American jobs. Instead, we will give workers and unions a voice at the negotiation table and ensure that fair trade standards are enforced in any trade deal we have negotiated and any trade deal we have yet to negotiate."

"We want to rebuild our crumbling middle class. Wall Street didn't build America - the middle class did! Back in the day, a good union job was enough to keep folks in the middle class. Now, two jobs doesn't even do it. When our working people were sold out and started to fall below the poverty line, we didn't bail them out. Instead, we provided a massive bailout to the crooks in the financial sector who destroyed our economy in the first place. Even if the corporations leave, it is the responsibility of the federal government to look after you guys, just like we looked after the bankers."

"We will subsidize any job you guys are in, no matter how low-paying, by more than doubling the Earned Income Tax Credit. It will be the biggest middle class tax cut for working people in history!"

"Wolf lied to you about trade, he lied about taxes too and instead gave the rich a bigger slice of the pie. By expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit to provide greater payments, to cover more people, and to give recipients the option of collecting a monthly sum instead of an annual payment, we can supplement the low wages of America's workers, and we can lift people out of poverty.

"Together, we will forge the EITC into a real Worker Tax Credit that will restore the promise of the dignity of work to every person in America."

"Together, we will hold corporations to higher standards in order to really democratize the workplace. Wealthy shareholders of giant corporations have gobbled up trillions of dollars in surging profits. How do we build a system where giant corporations focus more on the interests of their workers? Well, we make workers the shareholders. The billionaires didn't do it on their own; you made their wealth for them! My plan for Workplace Democracy would share corporate wealth with workers by requiring the biggest companies to provide at least 2 percent of stock to their workers every year until the company is at least 20 percent owned by employees. In addition, at least 40% of corporate board seats would be elected by workers. The only way we can create an economy for all of us, not just the 1%, is by handing the reigns over to the workers."

"Together, we will create a Federal Jobs Guarantee so that every American who needs a good paying union job can find one. We need to defend workers from the coming automation blitz, and there's no better way to do that than create a program to fix our crumbling infrastructure, convert our energy grid, and build a new, green America. There's plenty of work to be done in our country - let's get the resources to do it."

"The Nevada government conducted a State of the State Survey this year, looking into what the people of Nevada see as the biggest issue facing them. You guys know what it was? Education! Our campaign is the ONLY campaign taking education policy seriously. Here in Nevada, if you talk to any teachers in different counties, the number one complaint will be about class size. This state has one of the highest average class sizes in the nation! And it's not just that. Teacher turnover is at record levels! Tons of teachers in Nevada public schools are leaving their jobs!"

"It will take a bold, engaged federal government to ensure that kids in Nevada are getting the schooling that they deserve and that Nevada parents' tax dollars are worth it! I have a plan to fix education in this country so that every kid can get a shot at a bright future. To decrease the teacher-turnover rate, we'll give teachers in poor districts a salary boost of $10,000 by creating a Teacher Tax Credit. This is a proven method of improving teacher retention rates, so our kids have the quality, committed educators that families deserve!"

"Our approach to education will not be limited to teacher pay. We will also change the way we fund and operate public schooling in America. Our public schools have been facing chronic underinvestment ever since the 2008 recession. Federally, we need to allocate school funding with appropriate weighing. That means designating more funding in low-income school districts; perhaps doubling it in those areas. These dollars should attract effective teachers and improve curriculum."

"I've also been the loudest advocate in the race for Universal Pre-K and Childcare, with a bill in Congress that I wrote to federally fund early education programs and integrate them into our public school system. Pre-K has been proven to pave success for students later in life, and should be extended to everybody. Same with childcare; we will end the injustice of parents choosing between a salary and a child, extending free childcare to those making at or below 200% of the poverty line."

"Our campaign is fueled by the idea of economic justice. There is no justice when the top 1 tenth of 1 percent has more wealth than the bottom half of America combined. There is no justice when 50,000 people are sleeping out on the streets in the wealthiest nation in the history of the world. There is no justice when we betray the promise of our Constitution by denying working families the right to the pursuit of happiness."

"This campaign is powered by the people. This campaign puts workers first. This campaign knows that workers are worthy of respect. This campaign is about fighting for all of us, not just the people in power."

"Folks, as president, I know that I will owe it to you to fight for folks here everyday. I won't forget you like past administrations. So I would be humbled if you could join this movement to take back the White House."

"Thank you, may god bless the workers of America."

A Prendergast 2020 radio advert, for drive-time radio in Iowa

"During the Baharia Presidency, his stagnant economic policies and misguided green plan saw unemployment in Iowa peak at 6.6%. But statistics don't mean much to ordinary Americans, so let's put that in terms that real people can comprehend, and not just cosy, well-to-do experts:"

"One hundred and eleven thousand Iowans couldn't work. One hundred and eleven thousand Iowans couldn't put food on their family's tables. One hundred and eleven thousand Iowans were abandoned by President Rashid Qadaffi Baharia."

"In 2016, Iowa elected Arnold Wolf, with the largest margin for a Republican President in their state since Ronald Reagan. And President Wolf delivered for Iowans. Unemployment was cut down to a third, putting over seventy thousand Iowans back into work. That's seventy thousand Iowans with their dignity restored. Seventy thousand Iowans with independence to live their lives. Seventy thousand Iowans who can support their families."

"But that comes as little relief to the remaining forty thousand unemployed Iowans who want nothing more than the chance to do honest work for honest pay. The resurrection of our economy has to be completed, and for that, we have to make a choice. Do we take a risk, or do we stick with what's working?"

"Jonah Prendergast has stood with Arnold Wolf every step of the way. He understands business. He understands the economy. But most importantly, he understands what work means to an average American. When President Wolf retires in 2021, Governor Prendergast stands ready to pick up the torch, and make sure that every American can benefit from the new opportunities the Wolf Economy has given us."

"Iowa is working again. America is working again. Don't let Democrats take that away from us. Pick Prendergast."

"If you wish to donate or support our campaign, text JONAH to [number] or visit JPJ4USA.com."

"I'm Governor Jonah Prendergast Junior, and I approve this message."

Jillian Dayton Fundraiser Drive April

Of the four early states, Jillian had devoted much of her time to Iowa and New Hampshire, her limited resources had dampened her effort to tap into South Carolina or Nevada just yet. Instead, her effort to balance being a Senator and being a candidate had put her behind on dollars. Her staff had planned to send her around all of Iowa and New Hampshire in a one month blitz. Her rallies and town halls were free, with the opportunity to drop coins or notes in a bucket on the way out always available. Every night in a different township she visited, a Drinks with Dayton event would run, and every morning Coffee with a Senator would happen, ideally that would raise her dollars up, both events were casual opportunities to get to know her and her campaign.

Her campaign schedule kicks off with a day in Dubuque, the day after in Waterloo with a town hall on the way in Manchester and another in Dyersville. Eventually she hoped that in her 14 days of 'hitting Iowa' she'd walk away having visited at least 30 major townships. The bus tour would end with a final 24 hours in Des Moines following a similar, Coffee, Rallies/Town Halls and then a nighttime drinks event. In the meantime, Jillian consulted with her staff and advisers on her Climate Action White Paper, and in what she considered a good win, a former Baharia staffer had hopped on her campaign.

The punishment must fit the crime, Governor. You know what the problem with the death penalty is? Once you commit a crime that warrants the death penalty, you'll commit another one. And another one. Until you're caught. We should reserve the death penalty for terrorism, mass murder and organised rape.
