Origin:
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Maurice didn’t have the easiest life. He grew up in substantial poverty, as well as being bullied due to his quick temper, and his occasional lack of hand eye coordination. As he grew older, he realized that he wasn’t alone in being bullied, and recognized injustice all over the city, and believed that change was needed. So he left High School with his prime ambition of being a Constitutional Lawyer.

He moved to New England to attend Amherst College, and earn a law degree. While at the University, he also studied social sciences, philosophy, and in his own time, he studied theology and other religious faiths, believing that they could be a gateway to having a mind that was free, and a heart that was pure.

As he left Amherst, he settled in Nashua, New Hampshire, and joined the “Free State Movement”. He studied their cause, and found many fellow minded individuals, who wished to preserve Freedom, Constitutionality, and fight for the Individual’s right to be left alone. Since joining this movement. He registered as a Republican, finding their platform of Light Economic Freedom to be a step in the right direction, though on social policies, he remains fairly liberal.


In the mid-2000s, Maurice became the mayor of Nashua, and continued to work his way up the political ladder. His cases as a lawyer became famous all over the state. His eloquence, and negotiation skills were the talk of many local tabloids, and they gave him the boost in popularity needed to attain office. Fast forward down the line however, and Maurice saw the opportunity to run for Governor. With the backing of Grassroots Republicans, Conservative Democrats, and moderated Maurice barely edged out in a win I Mc primary. However, the General Election in 2016, proved to work in Maurice’s favour, as he rode the Red Wave, and won The Governorship. Since being elected, he intends to keep his promises to compromise and negotiate, even if his temper continues to get in the way.

Biography: Charon grew up the daughter of a single lobster fisherman who saved his money and sent her to the University of Maine to study finance. Upon graduation she took a job at a real estate firm in Portland and managed to do quite well for the next 30 years. When her father was diagnosed with diabetes stemming from his rampant alcoholism, he nearly went bankrupt and lost most of his money paying medical costs. This was because he was a private contractor and not technically an employee, and so didn't have health insurance.

In the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, seeing her father go through this was the last straw for her. Charon took her story to the media, an article was written, and people liked it. Then nothing changed. Wallstreet was still getting subsidies from taxpayers like her father who worked their whole life just to get screwed in the end.

Charon identifies as generally conservative and wants to protect the 2nd amendment, but is running as a Democrat because her main agenda is passing medicare for all and regulating big business. She would have preferred to run Independent, but who votes for those?

Other Info: Charon is an annual attendee at the Pleasant River "Frozen Mosin Shoot" as well as UMaine's "Gay thanksgiving" event. She makes a very big deal out of both and usually won't shut up about them for a few weeks after. She likes to bake things for members of congress sometimes.

Amadeus Putnam was born to a wealthy family, descended from the Boston Brahmins, growing up in Quincy, Massachusetts. His father was a successful businessman running a brokerage firm in Boston. His father is a devout Protestant and his mother, a devout Catholic. Putnam ultimately attended a Catholic high school and was a talented chess player and captain of the debate team. He also helped form a Catholic Bible study after school. He attended Boston College where he studied divinity, philosophy, and economics, hoping initially to become a Catholic priest. He changed his mind and attended law school at the University of Virginia and clerked for a well-known conservative jurist.
After graduating he returned to New Hampshire and briefly worked for a firm in Boston before starting his own local firm, not liking the corporate atmosphere. He did moderately well, and began a podcast discussing law, economics, current events, and philosophy. He ultimately dedicated more time to it. A graduate student at Boston University, named, Abigail "Nabby" Nicola, who debated him when he spoke at her school. He managed to win her over and after speaking somewhat later he managed to win her over. She took his business card and after a correspondence she asked him out. He expected the dinner to be business and politics, but she explained her real intentions. To her disappointment, they had a chaste relationship for two years before marrying, per Putnam's strong religious convictions. Since she has become a clinical psychologist and professor at University of New Hampshire.
Putnam ran for Congress as a Libertarian, but lost, but earned a surprisingly large number of votes, and ultimately earned the Republican Party's nomination for State Senate two years later. While serving in the State Senate and was well-known for his dramatic oratory, strong opinions, conviction, and willingness to work with and listen to anyone.
He retired after eight years and ran for Governor in the Republican Primary, losing to a more entrenched candidate. He planned and was elected to the US Senate. He won that time. He's just been sworn in and is planning to shake up Washington.
